Thanks so much for this video. I'm relieved to know that there's so much more to signing an artist & the criteria needed to be in a firm situation i.e proper recording studio, fully established LLC, etc. I've been following your content for sometime now & should let you know that the game you bring, that knowledge especially for me is priceless. I've learnt so much from you; I even repost your content on my youtube channel as well as part of my focus with the music & instrumentals I produce. Blessings always from Trinidad & Tobago... 🙏🏾🌴💯🇹🇹

I guess the Trinidad energy is heavy cause I literally just ran into Trinidad James yesterday wearing some red platform shoes LOL

@@MusicMoneyMakeover Lol. The music industry here in Trini is so whack. Learning about this game is vital to survive. 🙏🏾💯

Hey Casey, been supporting and will continue to support the channel. Question on featured artists. I’m tryna build my Spotify monthly listeners so my goal is to work with a few bigger artist features and then market to their audiences. These are not cheap though, looking at $500 - $5,000 per feature. If I pay for a feature, is it a work for hire agreement/buyout at that point? Do they automatically get rights? Or can I keep the rights? Do I need a split sheet?

I’m gonna trust you I’ve been trying to learn music business for so long and keep getting screwed over or given half fast advice like it’s a secret you are the first person I’ve seen actually teaching us something so im gonna make sure I listen and seeing that you have books makes it even better because I like to read and study what I’m learning 🤎
