The translation here (13:37) is not that accurate. The reputation here means the good and pure spirit for Buddhism. As a monk, he cannot get so close to women. lol
wukong considers it immoral and bad for his reputation as a great fight, upright man to fight a bunch of helpless female demons when they are bathing. another thing, in chinese culture, you dont approach women when they are bathing, which i guess is not peculiar to china.
