    Dorn is alive, for one reason and one reason alone: in the last ten thousand years, no daemon, or chaos lord, or aspiring champion has claimed the kill on Rogal Dorn or produced proof with his body. When Ferrus Manus fell at the Drop Site Massacre, the traitors fell upon his body and hacked it to pieces for trophies while the few remaining Morlocks fought desperately to recover what they could of him. When Horus Lupercal fell, his body was entombed in a shrine by his legion, stolen by the Emperor’s Children, cloned by Fabius Bile at least once, and fought over by the 3rd and 16th Legions until nothing remained. When Sigismund was High Marshall of the Black Templars (not a Primarch I know, but still relevant) he fought and nearly killed Abaddon. Once Abaddon slew Sigismund, he literally chained his desecrated body to a captured Black Templars starship and sent it on a one-way course to Terra to brag about it.
    Nobody has been bragging about killing, capturing, or torturing the Praetorian of Terra. The Unyielding Son lives still, and is merely awaiting the moment his Father needs him.
    P.S. Dorn could possibly be the Golden Warrior making the last stand to protect the Emperor? His Auric Armor was as flashy as the Emperor’s own armor, so it makes sense. Also would be a great redemption story for him for his supposed failure to protect the Emperor on the Vengeful Spirit. Just a thought. Great video Rho!

    • @Stein871
      @Stein871 3 года назад +5

      Sigismund's body was sent to Terra in pristine shape as a sign of respect. He didn't kill Abaddon becauae of plot armor, he burried his black sword to the hilt in his chest, destroyed both primary lungs and and his spine.

    I'd really wish they would retcon Perturabo so that he is no longer a Daemon Primarch, but simply a Primarch. Pertuarbo never really gave a care for Chaos, and the reason for his rebellion was not to gain power. The conflict between Pertuarbo and Dorn would also be much more relatable and heartwrenching, that if next they meet, it is simply two "mortal" brothers fighting.

      @@lonedonkey101 yeah, Bile trades the Fulgrim clone when he starts showing his leadership qualities, telling Trazyn to take him instead of the ones he originally bargained for. but again, when he does this, Fulgrim clone was wearing really crude armor and I believe it was stated it wasn't even power armor, but I can't quite remember. it's ugly crudeness was contrasted with Fulgrims elegant and refined face is why I remember that. but the giant in Trazyn's collection is wearing "baroque power armor". baroque in this sense means extremely ornate and decorated. this would be some kind of artificer power armor most likely. would be cool if it was Dorn, but probably wouldn't end well for Trazyn. I still think there is a good chance it's Constatine Valdor too. It can't be Ra Endymion, since Failbaddon has Drach'nyen.

My biggest question is how long will they just have Roboute hanging around as the only primarch, where there is one we know more are bound to come. How long will they milk this single primarch back into the active realm before entering others. They really should try and make some 1 hour movie shorts around the lore. I think it's quite possible that Rogal Dorn went into hiding to recover from what happened during the Siege of Terra.. It's not shameful either. P.T.S.D. Is a mother F#cker!! Perhaps Rogal Dorn just needed time to heal..And I know he will return ( Gamesworkshop/Warhammer40,000 need to make this happen now! Right NOW!!)

    05:42 Rogal Dorn fell long before Abaddon's first Black Crusade because he most likely fell sometime before the battle of thessala that took place on 131 M31, which was when Guilliman was mortally wounded by Fulgrim and the first Black Crusade Abaddon led took place on 781 M31.
    The reason I suspect Rogal Dorn fell sometime the battle of thessala is because he wasn't mentioned at all during the first chapter of the first Dark Imperium, which retold the battle of thessala and it was rather odd that neither Guilliman or Fulgrim mentioned Rogal Dorn.

    He is definitely alive, seeing what Abbadon did to Sigismund. He would have done something similar to Dorn, if not worse.

      @@kelman727 he killed Horus' clone so he could have been able to kill Dorn. With this said he would have displayed him in order to demoralize the Imperium, just like he tried with Sigismund.

    If there is a Primarch that absolutely needs to come back to be the support of Roboute Guilliman it is Rogal Dorn. Those 2 would not stop until all chaos posterior would be thoroughly kicked.

    Here’s a theory I’ve been working on for awhile. What if at the end of the HH the Emperor decided not to give up on his Webway Project? What if he instead decided to take his time working it in absolute secrecy, making multiple footholds for humanity to occupy once finished? True the custodians’ fortress was impressive, but remember that it was made in but a few years. What if Big E burned the Webway entrances that he knew of in Rogal’s mind and told him to go and fortify these locations as last strongholds or outposts in the coming war with Chaos? If not at Horus’ defeat and Dorn was just stubborn in going after the Iron Warriors then in an audience with his father in the Iron Cage aftermath. Vulkan as we know is capable of creating esoteric technology that is on the level of Ork tech after a sizeable, comparable to that of the horde of the Beast. With the fortification proficiency of Dorn, the instinctive creativity of Vulkan, and a predicted timetable of several thousand years? I can definitely see this happening, particularly if Dorn felt he failed both his sons and his father, choosing to do the bulk of the work himself as a form of penance, with Vulkan acting only as the inventor of defensive technology that Dorn would incorporate into his defenses. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if this was so.

      There is one problem with this theory and it's quite a big one, it has something to do with the endless army of deamons that forced the Emperors forces to abandon the Imperial webway.

    • @ethrsag735
      @ethrsag735 5 лет назад

      Chapter Master Marneus Calgar That’s only at one entrance of the Webway, last I checked the Black Library wasn’t swarmed with daemons and it’s in the Webway.

    Reading through the HH series and the interaction between Roboute with the Emperor after his return its become clear to me that the Emperor cares only that the Primarchs and their legions fill roles that he envisions them in. For example by calling the Dorn the Praetorian of Terra he desired that Dorn just fulfill that role. I think that's part of the reason why Primarchs like Russ (his executioner), Dorn (Praetorian of Terra), & Horus (the Warmaster/pre-corruption) seemed to treated special by the Emperor. The fulfilled the roles the Emperor wanted and that was all that mattered. Going even further he had a role and plan for all his creations and only cared that they were available to fulfill that role. Magnus to eventually be on the golden throne manipulating the special webway project (see The Path of Heaven). Roboute to be his statesman/politician and day to day caretaker of worlds. The Emperor had plans.. if only he had maybe shared them with the Primarchs things could have been different.

    I think it would be badass if he encountered Omegon posing as Alpharius on the sword of sacrilege. Thinking he has somehow failed in killing Alpharius and sending him in a blind rage. While fighting the other primarch he loses his hand but still manages to get the upper hand. badum tssss. Omegon attempts to flee in some kind of warp timey wimey and Dorn follows without thinking. Maybe he was captured by Perturabo after and held captive for a while. But knowing Dorn he cant be broken and somehow manages to escape. He is now somewhere in the eye of Terror seeking for a way to escape and return to the Imperium.

    In my own fan fictiom, rogal was several damaged and tried to teleport as an emergency but a mishap cut off his hand, scrambled his mind and threw him across the gulf of space... to the eastern rim, where he was found amnesiac by the ethereal of the tau and it's his knowledge that form the basis of the greater good, their technology jump, and there ability to defeat the imperium and astartes. Of course, he does not know who he is, the tau have kept him a secret from all and it's the new sigilite(the bases of the fiction) that must help him rediscover himself.

    So that perturabo theory might imply that dorn managed to escape from perturabo's prison, and now he's either somewhere in the immaterium, or he's managed to escape the warp but is stranded somewhere without a way to return to his sons

    Maybe his hand was a sacrifice he had to make to get to someone far away. A payment that is most simbolic to give for a Imperial fist, in order to get to one of his brothers (loyal or heretic) deep in warp... After all Dorn was all about self-sacrifice for something bigger...
