Creating Flat Areas ON TERRAIN in SketchUp!

- One of the more difficult things you can do with SketchUp is to work with terrain. The irregularity of terrain just makes it really tricky to work with.
However, but using extensions, you can make working with terrain a lot easier!
In this video, learn to use extensions to easily flatten out areas on your terrain areas in SketchUp!

Justin, I didn’t find the (Misc.) option in my Frendo6 vector push pull … Couldn’t make the base terrain flat. I’m using Mac.

Very informative, some of my projects have areas of lower grade and i often wonder how i can navigate and adjust grade without any other program avail. this helps out a lot. my suggestion can you do a site were you have loading dock with change of grade heights.
Depends on the loading dock - I'd probably do something similar to this

my joint push pull don't have an option to project the shape on a plane. how do i fix this?
It would be useful to model topo from contour lines or numbers. As it happens in real-world practice.
When I use the vector push pull and hit the project shape on a plane, doing everything exactly as in the video my mesh grid does not automatically become a solid group. I have tried everything, but cannot make it a solid group. It just remains a simple group. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or maybe a bug somewhere? Thank you Justin for all your video's!!

If only Sketchup had a Boolean function that wasn’t destructive, being able to move and adjust the reference geometry again later would be cool.

Good day Justin. Hope that you are doing well. I am having trouble doing turning radius in sketchup web. I need to do a 30 or 40 foot turning radius for a garbage truck. I am making a drive way of the alley way into my lot to have the truck enter the property and not stop at the alley way since it is narrow and there are sings that says no stoping at the alley way at anytime. So they can enter and pick up the trash from the mixed-use building I am designing? Can you help me with tips and maybe explain how the radius is taking into consideration? Also on how to do that in sketchup web

I've got one for you . . . how can I "Drape" a texture image over a terrain geometry? Basically having a photograph with an organic form.
Well you wouldn't - drape is for edges and geometry. However, you'd probably use an extension like Thru-paint and just apply the image to your geometry as a texture
Hi Justin Sorry I do not appear to have that Misc box to click onon my updated Joint Push Pull - am i missing something?
Go to the video 8 SECRET FUNCTIONS of the Sketchup Joint Push Pull Extension and put the time at 6.10, there he explains how to get more options like misc and other.
i used the plugin Fredo6: Joint Push Pull Interactive v4.4e from the link you gave, but I dont have the "Borders" or "Misc." option window. Any idea why?
Click the little icon that looks like a right arrow to open up the rest of the menu

I Tried it by not coming when you right click after reverse face and click smoove, yellow mark coming to four corners if you move it all move. Kindly help and thanks.
If it's yellow, it sounds like you have the smoove tool still active

Interesting options but I’ll stick with stamp
Stamp has its place for sure - I like this better for sites that have vertical faces like retaining walls
For Imac, Fredo6 JointPushPull does not have all the functions as in Windows. Borders and Misc. does not exist. Why?
