Nazareth - Hair of the Dog (Austrian TV, 1975)

- 1975 the hard rock band Nazareth with singer Dan McCafferty performed in the Austrian music show Spotlight. It became a legendary concert.
Spotlight was a music show for the youth, which was aired between 1968 and 1978 by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). It was the counterpart to the shows "Beat Club" or "Musikladen" in Germany.
As a product of the 60s & 70s its safe to say Todays music just flat out sucks...
There's some gems nowadays, you just gotta know where to look.
Lots of good rock bands around. Just that rock isn’t mainstream nowadays and that’s not a bad thing, rock is best in dirty, smokey bars not on tv.
You Damn sure of that.todays music is dogshit😅
Bullshit music nowadays.old school is the best.🎸
Old head
I used to crank this up in my '74 charger...I'm 68 now...good times long gone
Those times don't have to be long gone.
I am 61, grew up in southern Sweden, and Nazareth together with Slade were my absolute idols of my teen years. Still love them dearly. Of course you undeservedly feel kind of proud of contemporary swedish bands as Ghost and Dirty Loops, but they do not thrill my souls as much as listening to Slade or Nazareth albums from back then. Those memories from the 70's ..... Music is indeed magical and unrivalled when it comes to nostalgical trips of the soul.
I'm 61 and grew up in Chicago. Loved this song back in the day. Funny thing, I still love it and crank it up loud every now & again.
Me, too, Dexter.
Good times can’t last forever unfortunately. Try and find some magic mushrooms…. They add longevity 🍄🍄
R.I.P. Dan McCafferty. One of my favorite singers from the 70s. His vocals on the Hair Of The Dog record are iconic. I'll be crankin that record today in his and Manny Charlton's honor. He will be missed🎵🎤
Nicely said. He'll be missed indeed.
He is my Favorite Singer forever
AC/DC owe a huge debt amongst many bigger subsequent names who ripped off the style Dan started
@@MrBenmanning AC/DC was around this same time, how the hell did they rip it off?
Светлана память Дэну RiP.
Man, Dan McCafferty's vocals could peel the paint off the walls (in a good way). People rarely sing rock like this anymore.
He had a voice like no one else. Im jealous. Lol.
Can't play this one loud enuff
Maybe so. But fortunately I know guys in Poland who does. But there are quite uknown. Only local. Nevertheless they dont have a lot of their own music I guess. I always listen to them in Cracow at New days blues pub.
Some guy named Axl Rose tried to replicate him but failed.
@Zippy Thekid I know. Thank God for any political INcorrectness.
I was crazy about this song in the 70's. Now I'm in my 70's & still love it!

I loved school. I remember every teacher. I remember my walks to school. I
had a paper route and made about $400 a month as a 11 year old in 1979. I had 2 routes on Sunday and used to delivery the local paper and the Wall Street Journal. Woke up at 6:30AM every day and delivered my papers and then went to school. I always had full weekends because I was home from route at 8AM or so.
This song was cranking on my Panasonic cassette player bunji corded to my handlebars delivering papers at 7AM.

In 1982 I was the stock boy / booze counter at the Copa Club in Toronto when Nazareth played there. .... They came in for a sound check just before I finished my shift and they did this song for an Audience Of One ---- ME! .... I freaked out and danced like a headbanger right in front the stage and they all laughed and thanked me when they were done: THEY thanked ME! How crazy is THAT? ... Needless to say a totally AMAZING day at work!
Oh, so lucky!!!! Nice

@@jumpman8282 huh??
@@kevinbreese5739 Seriously, have you read the lyrics?
Ahem, at first I thought it was "the singer" who jumped from relationship to relationship.
On second hand though, it may well be the woman that has a rumor about her having been in a lot of relationships and also breaking them up, and now it's "the singer's" intention to break that habit of hers.
