Ive been having lower back stiffness pain for YEARS. When I wake up in the morning, stiff. When I stand up for to long of a time, stiff. Might have to look into this.
Injured my back in Kuwait so bad I was temporarily paralyzed never received xray, mri years later started having more temp paralysis episodes. Shooting pain sciatica. They denied everything I requested but gave me a 10% rating for a lower back sprain. 10 years later my back locks up like nobody’s business and I still can’t get them to give me an mri
You’ll most likely have to go to go to a doctor out of pocket but start your claim now so if it takes them 5 months to finish your claim you get a nice amount from back pay. You can probably get one done at the va for free but it sounds like the one near you sucks and I’m by no means a subject matter expert but usually the Va cares less than the civilian sector. Also it’s a shame to hear that
I just put in and have, mild degenerative disc and spondylotic changes noted at thoracic spine, mild osteophytes at the lower thoracic spine, and sciatica hopefully I don't get screwed 🙏
My Dx was “pain in left anterior location” which I truly believe is what got me denied. My C&P examiner was horrible. I was there 10 minutes and she said “there’s no way you’re getting anything for this”. I have provided close to 16 years of pain management documentation for the injury to my back due to my service. I submitted for a HLR which they are now saying they are correcting an error. They set up another C&P which went much better. She really seemed like she was genuinely concerned about my issue. She even said she was going to take the time (although she said she only has 72 hours) to go through the documents I submitted. That was months ago. Not sure where this will go but if i get denied its over for me. Got ratings for PTSD and Tinitus easy, which is surprising. My back, which is 100% service related all hinges on a stupid Dx that says “left anterior location”, even the examiner said, you clearly went in with back pain, based on their notes but why they worded like this is beyond me.
Always. Just remember they will take a cut and if you don't have medical you will have to pay but it will pay in dividends. They know how to handle these thing and they know the language. Good luck 👍🏻
In regards to explaining a denial letter, a VSO should be able to explain it for you. A lawfirm can help assist you to get the highest rating you're entitled to, which hopefully means your claims will be as squared away for approval with minimal delays due to further denials/lower ratings. They have incentive to ensure you get the most you can as soon as you can, and there isn't an upfront risk if your claim gets denied anyways.
I was misdiagnosed after an active duty injury. The dr said I had spina bifida occulta. I was denied s/c. My pain management dr tells me I don’t have spina bifida and have bilateral radiculopothy. The problem I face now is he won’t write a nexus. He provided with his progress notes which states no spina bifida and bilateral radiculopothy. My Neurosurgeon looked at my MRI and concurs that I don’t have Spina Bifida never have and it’s something you’re born with and never goes away. He also said he would gladly write a diagnosis and include that I have never had Spina Bifida. This is the only reason the VA continues to deny my claim.
When I submitted my well developed claim online, there was only an option for cervical strain. I have radiculopathy, DDD, Narrowing etc in my neck, which is included in my documentation and VA MRIs. How do I get consideration for ratings for the radiculopathy etc or is it added automatically, due to the documentation, even though I didn't list it as secondary's?
Don’t know if you already went to your C & P exam yet.. but that’s when you mention everything and they’ll note it down for you and it’s going to come up us secondary condition to back pain.
I am taking morphine for my pain. I had a bad fall, my back was twisted when I landed on it which caused me to great pain. There was no MRI then,o they could not tell how bad this injury was. I suffered many years, they could not / would not define how badly I was injured.I lost hope inquiring about this. I retired a deputy sheriff the pain to great, I was concerned I could no longer function safely . My private doctor said retire. He was right. I hope to be reviewed and receive compensation due me for years of misdiagnosis .
When I was in the Naval Air, (retired after 24 years working on AC) I spent a lot of time hauling tie down chains. Now, years later, I have had diagnosis and procedures for spinal degradation. Lots of daily pain for many years. Could my later years of back spinal and disc degradation be attributed to my early years of military service?
Buddy, I was in for 6 years and not combat arms.... I have multiple areas of degradation, pain, and sciatica, along with feet going numb when running. I'd say that after 24 years your backs shredded... 🤔
I got 20% they. Called it arthritis? I have direct connection and am getting injections now , the C&P exam was a joke they office was third world and the NP didn’t even look at me just typed on the computer with her 3” painted nails , so discouraging
@@Tslee45 Im in the middle of writing a letter to secretary of VA. Not sure if this is a normal thing thatd happen? We are pretty sure (my GF) and I who were both in the Exam.. the examiner may have gotten my paperwork mixed up with someone else’s? None of the answers provided was things i said in the exam… so we are actually wanting an investigation into the dbq exam, also the examiner was 30 mins late to the meeting and felt rushed thru the exam. So yeah
@@YessahBlessah608 oh wow. I never had to write a letter. I’m at 10% now for my lower back and I have a herniated disc s1 to like s6 with nerve pinching. So I’m constantly having sciatica pain tingling in my lower back and stiffness. It’s hard for me to bend and I went to the ER twice in less than a month. I hope things go good for you. But, when I claimed back then they said it was just a lumbar strain. But, this year I had an MRI it was a ton of things wrong with my back.
Good to know because I went to the ER twice in one month already. Lower herniated disk As well has nerve pinching on one of the disk. Constant sciatica pain and arthritis on lower back as well.

You can submit an MFR describing your negative experience stating the facts and can request a second opinion/ be CP examiner

If the VA denies a back claim, would you recommend I hire the law firm to discuss the denial with V.A.?

I had back surgery in 2002 from non service related injury. Here recently I have had nothing but pain in my lower back. What do I need to do

So why hasn’t all the VA c&P exams since 1992 haven’t they?
Ok

About to go see my CP examiner right now! Hopefully i get good news

I only have 10% for it
I was told that the maximum rating for back condition is 40% . I am confused about this video.
