The sisterhood in this reboot episode is not the norm. They did a terrible job at making it organic, so episodes like this felt forced. It's like they occasionally forget they're sisters and have to remind themselves.
Witches who happen to be sisters (reboot) instead of sisters who happen to be witches (original.)

I love original version, their connections, story, vibe in general, music.... The reboot does not hit the same, I stop watching even, maybe some will like but to me it was boring and chaotic . Reboots in general are waste of time. New good stories are better.
The reboot lacks emotional depth and feels like it is rushed.

Again, don’t know if anyone else has already said it lol but since you were wondering, 18:30, yes the Tall one (Macy) is the oldest. She is a mixture of Prue and Paige and has the power of telekinesis as well as pyrokinesis, she is a long lost sister. she is also part demon if I remember correctly. Mel, the one with the heat power originally had the power to freeze time but in the beginning of the 2nd season they lost their powers and gained new ones. Maggie is the smallest and youngest. She originally had the power to hear people’s thoughts and feel their emotions then lost it and gained the powers to see the future and manipulate others emotions.

I know she's 27/28 in the show and she raised her sisters.

Technically it was their grandmother who raised them. Prue just felt responsible for both.
Barbas is actually one of the most iconic villains in the OG Charmed, and has a bigger role down the line. Shows up several times during the show.
I also near died when you mentioned the Tomorrow People!!! it was such a good show and it got cancelled right when it became AMAZING! I was so invested in Astrid and John :D
Anyway, the reboot is not good. It tries too hard, the chemistry is not nearly as good, the social commentary is overdone, it looks... plastic? In a way? And it's just really not good storyline wise.

Thats also the good thing about the OG is they are very focused on self contained episodes. Very few episodes require to watch others to understand what's going on. Seems like the reboot didnt share that focus
Never seen a single episode of the reboot and I am so glad it got cancelled. The original was and still is a classic
it is but it doesn't mean the reboot isn't OKAY like it's not the same but it's really not that bad

OMG, I am such an OG Charmed fan, I haven't seen every OG episode but I've seen majority of the seasons and know the storylines and how everything goes. I'll just need to catch up on like filler episodes.The OG is literally my fave show of all time, I'm obssesed. When the reboot was announced, I was pretty excited and skeptical as well. I wanted to see how they would reintroduce this world to us. And for me, the reboot doesn't have the same heart as the OG. It has the concept and the gist but I don't think it was executed well. I've seen all of the reboot and there are aspects I liked and some I didn't but overall it could be its own show in its own sense.

leo appeared sometime before the 10th episode of the first season, revealed to the audience that he had magickal powers, then told piper he was leaving town for a while. I dont know when he reappeared.
I've chocked it up to being a Harry-focused episode, but my biggest complaint is that I didn't get a good idea of who Mel and Maggie are as people.
What are your thoughts on the Charmed reboot?
I wouldn't necessarily call it an Harry-focused episode, though there is a problem with the show's focus on Harry in the sense that he is given several different storylines, whole character arcs, that last for longer than an episode, something the sisters never really got unless it was romantic in nature (same goes for Abigail Jameson-Caine). The only Charmed One whose story focused on character development outside of romantic relationships was Macy, which is probably why you feel as if you don't really know anything about Mel or Maggie outside of the people they are dating.
As for my opinion on the reboot overall, I didn't think I'd like it due to what I've heard about it (also the bts bs with the feud between the casts of both shows). And while I did not regret watching it, I have no desire to rewatch it at any point. The storylines as well as concepts and character traits are recycled and lazily put in a different order, making the new cast's annoying claim to 'originality' seem ridiculous. None of the irredeemable villains are anything but white (the ones not portrayed in a negative light are always poc), and I'm not implying anything but make of it what you will. Not to mention all the other stereotypes (not one but TWO deadbeat black dads, the feisty latina Mel, the villains practicing bdsm,...).
Very inconsistent. They keep changing the feel of the show to the point where is doesn’t really have its own rhythm
I'm a HUGE OG Charmed fan and know every episode back to front lol 😆 i was excited for the reboot and did start watching it but i lost interest 😅 they changed too much and it felt like a completely separate series from the original, they never mention anyone from the original and didn't really connect the 2 at all! 😮 also it felt like they were trying to hard to be modern and 'woke' and shoving it down our throats, which made it kinda cringe 😬
i really think they should of just made the reboot with the descendants of Piper, Phoebe and Paige focusing on Wyatt and Chris since they built that future up so much in OG Charmed, that would of been AWESOME!!!! ❤❤❤ XxXxX
The original charmed is OG ❤ as we all know and yes you you need to finish it. The reboot also deserves to be watched and enjoyed in its own right. ❤

Call me biased but the OG will always be tops the new girls have no chemistry the OG girls chemistry was Great which is why its a comfort show

i was one of the ones that constantly defended the reboot before it aired, telling people to just give it a chance. and oh boy did i eat my words. i did my usual 2 to 3 episode trial but i was wanting to cut it off just after the first. way too pop culture preaching that was constantly beating me over the head from the show. and aside from the oldest sister, i really didn't care about the youngest and i hated the middle one (i have zero recollection of any of their names atm). i could see why the original cast hated the reboot and rightfully so. it parades and advertises itself as this show that will one up the original and just fails in just about every aspect.
I stop watching the reboot. I don’t like the rip off ideas from the OG series(mostly with the half sister). I love that they are not white chicks and the cast is more diverse than the OG and had gay characters, but honestly, I think it’s too much diversity. Kinda looks forced. I just don’t fell it natural in a way…
and the story line just… don’t touch me enough.
But! I will give the show second chance. As I said I like that cast, the effects are modern and cool and I genuinely believe the show is trying to do something good. Is it fell too forced? To me yes. But still I love charmed so I’m gonna rewatch season 1 and continue with the rest. ❤️

Definitely watch the Original all the way through and then watch the remake. I don’t think personally the remake is as good as the OG as I hoped it would be but I also don’t think it deserves the hate it gets it really has some great parts.
I like both. Didn’t love the reboot but I also haven’t finished it! But it ends nicely! Would LOVE if you did reacts to Charmed the Complete Series just so you can get down with the drama. But I would NOT be against you combining two episodes for one quicker video. I think it make uploads easier for you (instead of 23 separate vids they get to be half of that!)
And I wouldn’t be against you doing the Reboot!!! Plus would be an interesting experience.

Subscribing because honestly I love the vibes! I was a huge fan of the OG Charmed, it was my first “adult” show in the early 2000’s and I have quite a few fond childhood memories about it. I wasn’t happy about the reboot, then I begrudgingly watched the first three or four episodes, and it was bad bad. Like, first of all, too much - the middle sister is annoying as hell and the vibe is too preachy (from approaching feminist and Lgbtq+ themes, to well everything else). Secondly, and even worse in my opinion, is that the strength of the OG was that they were sisters and witches, in the reboot these people don’t even like each other. Like come on, you had a great cornerstone to build on and they squandered it all.

I would have been okay with reboot which was at first passed off as a sequel- I would have been fine with it if was an actual sequel like they used the original Charmed Ones Children to carry on the legacy

I absolutely love the original series the early seasons are my favorite as for the reboot i liked the first season but didn't enjoy seasons 2 and 3 i gave up halfway through season 3 to me it doesn't come close to the original it basically was repeating certain things from the original plus they didn't had anyone from the original series involved like constance m burge

Though the concept was good the trouble was it was too soon after the OG had finished. The, Ishta, Inara and Ishani story never made sense, even less so when Melinda Warren was mentioned. Kaela's links asked more questions than it answered

The reboot is not that good. There are few reboots that are. There is a version of Cole and Paige. I don't know about the Paige reboot version but the Cole one was the cheapest knock-off lol. His turning was actually ok (the whole season one was actually decent) but everything after his becoming a demon arc was awful. The only thing about the reboot that I think did as good or better than the original was the Harry/Leo character.

I believe you are referring to clueless parker and added in at the last minute Micheala. Parker never seemed like a cole knockoff to me because he was just a half demon adolescent. If anything Parker eventually ended up similar to Paige's witch boyfriend where his powers were stripped, so he seems more of a knockoff of that character. Micheala's powers were not particularly related to the charmed one triad of abilities, she had a form of projection(reality warping) where she could draw objects into existence, I tried to see the similarities between her power and astral projection but it didn't make much sense to me.
@@rsync9490 well Cole was half demon too. But he does remind me of the Paige's ex-boyfriend too. His age has nothing to do with it since technically they were all deaged for the reboot. I say only one episode with Micheala's powers which is why I said I could not really give my opinion on her. All in all rewatching the whole original series I do see more of the connection with Cole and Parker due to being half demon and trying to take over the demon underworld no matter where that happened in their respective lime lines.

I was prepared to like the reboot more. Love the original for its nostalgia, but it had some super rough moments and some lazy writing...
And then the reboot happened, and I had to stop watching at the end of S2...because it was somehow simultaneously too boring and too much. Every season, they crammed way too many plots into a single season, things that could've and should've spanned several seasons. I was incredibly disappointed. I wish the whole show could've been like the episode you watched here.
For me the reboot is better❤ just give it a chance and you will not regret it❤ Most of the haters from the reboot it is bc they don't understand that a reboot doesn't need to be the same as the original charmed ones. They change some things bc they wanted something new and fun for the new generation. I saw the reboot like a couple of times bc I love the bound between them ❤
I have watched both and it depends.....Season 1 of the reboot was actually decent even though it had its issues. Season 2 and 3 were straight up snoresfests. Season 4 was decent with the addition of micheala, and the concept of found family over biological family, though I would rather have had Josefina complete the trinity after macy's death. Josefina was actually a much better character than michaela.
