Hey man, I just moved to Boise and am looking to connect with some people that are into fly fishing. Would you be down to get out and fish sometime? I hit the south fork a couple weeks ago and only caught whitefish. Would like to get into some trout.

Do you work in concrete construction?
I am kinda new to fly fishing and I was wondering how to keep your dry flies floating because they float for a little bit but then they sink
Gink or some equivalent
^^^ I use a floatant it works well, false casting is also a good way to dry your flies in a hurry also making sure they’re dead drifting and there isn’t much tension is a good way to keep em floating

Use floatant like gink, and then on the water use dry shake once they sink! Don’t apply gink again while they’re wet.

Hey where is this at on the Boise river
It’s that one place where the water flows right over there😂🤔🤫
I have lived in the valley my entire life (over 60 years) and fished every part of the Boise. I question that this is the Boise River. I looks like southern Idaho, but I have never seen any part of the Boise River that looks like this. It's possible that it is a stretch that I've not seen, but it doesn't make sense from the width and the surrounding scenery. I would be fine with him not revealing the location. Too many of our rivers around here are getting too much publicity.
