  • With the Snap-on BJP1 ball joint press master kit, you'll cover more applications with fewer adapters than any other set. When it comes to replacing ball joints, you would need an entire tool box to do what this one tool can do.

    I've totally destroyed two of the OTC sets over the years. Time for an upgrade. I like the fact that the Snap-on kit snaps together so the parts don't fall all over the damn floor.

    You get what you pay for. Bought one last year and haven't regretted it. Have had all the competitors kits and this is bye far the most superior in all aspects.

    Hands down the strongest C frame out there. This thing is a beast when used properly.

    This thing is unbelievable. Had a 30 year old Mercedes that I did lower balljoints on and I had a 1400 lb ft gun on this press pounding it for a minute straight, at 1400 f'ing lb ft. It didn't even knick the finish on the adapters. We couldn't believe it at the shop. Wish Snap on made all their tools like this. For $700 Canadian it's a steal. It feels like it's worth $1500. And obviously, you don't need 5 hands to use it like other ball joint presses.

    I just bought this kit of the truck last week to upgrade from an Astro kit. I should have bought this kit years ago! This tool is a major time saver and a headache reducer. I was so sick of dropping adapters all over the floor! Money well spent.

    Two questions,
    Is it a master kit or is it a starter kit?
    Is it a tool that Snap On manufactures or is it a rebranded OTC?

    • @bryndonbrown5141
      @bryndonbrown5141 Год назад

      There’s not really a way to jig the clamp up to let the bearing come through so I don’t think it’s possible.. I would not try to but worse things have been done.

    You can get one at amazon for 40 dollars and it does the same thing only thig the amazon one dosent have is the adapter holder but everything else is the same don't spend 600 dollars on that its a big rip off

      Auto Gamer lol yeah right I bent 3 from amazon. I do alot of balljoints You can't compare. I do get snap on is over priced on alot of things and some what over rated. In this case you get what you pay for.

      Ha Ha, you must be a shade tree, harbor freight tools kind of guy. Everything i have by Snapon is holding up, 20 plus years on some things. I used the 50$ harbor freight ball joint press for a few years. I have the BJP1 by Snap On, and yes i paid 700$ new for it, but man what a difference. I can do the 3/4 ton diesels and some 1 tons with EASE. I even use it to install upper control arm bushings, more than meets the eye with this tool. If you are a professional and you do alot of ball joints, this tool will save much time and effort. I was doing ball joints on a truck, fought me every step of the way. next truck like it i had the BJP1, it went smooth.

    • @lovetolearn5253
      @lovetolearn5253 3 года назад +1

      @@carrepairandtoolsvideos it really depends on what you work on. Even though its a balljoint press there are many uses bushings, driveshaft ujoints, stuck sleeves and so on. I work on everthing from a 2 door cobalt to a 3500 so for me yes its worth it. Not so much new for 700$ but i got mine for 300 used. I tried cheap tools fuel or coolant gauge pressure testers, presses, sockets and i had to upgrade evertime because they all failed and go with snap on, matco,otc,mac, Lisle and so on. If your buying it for 1 time use then its worth but dont plan out getting 3 uses especially if you live in the salt belt. I not joking i bent my first amazon press after 2 uses. The second one bent on the first use.
      When i started working on cars i really thought mac snapon otc matco was just a name and Harbor Freight or Amazon would be fine thats mainly because of guys on RUclips saying that. So when i opened my own shop i cheaped out on stuff and that was a huge mistake.
