Currently going for my bellator vestige and I've been using this 3 tile method. I just want to add my two cents. When you finish the 3rd special attack, KEEP THE WHISPERER ABOVE 100 HP until she comes to a complete stop in front of the 3 southern tiles. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. If her health is at or below 100 and she hasn't finished approaching you yet, she'll suddenly stop where she is and start lobbing auto attacks at you prematurely. This will ruin the entire method because she needs to be positioned directly in front of those 3 tiles in order to block the vertical tentacles from spawning north of the player. If this ever happens, DO NOT use those tiles for the remainder of the kill unless you want to get sent back to Lumbridge. I'd also recommend using a toxic trident over the sang staff because it's much more cost-effective and basically does the same damage. You're really only missing out on 1 or 2 max hits at best and the sang's healing effect is useless if you're getting perfect kills.
Very interesting, it hasn’t happened to me that she stops before the safe zone except for if I miss click and she accidentally melee’s me and stops. This is valuable info so I’ll pin the comment!
It happened to me a handful of times and took me a while to pick up on the fact that the 100 hp threshold was what was consistently causing the problem. It's more prone to happening if you use the venator bow and get the ghost special last because killing all the ghosts does 75 damage to the whisperer so her health can get pretty low heading into the final part of the fight.

so one small thing i would add for that final enrage phase that i've found makes it much easier. use the CTRL click method to auto walk forward and then normal click to run backwards. it helped me so much in getting that part down. just removing that 1 extra click adds so much wiggle room. Other than that, amazing guide 10/10 you have earned yourself a subscriber. hope to see more man :D
Question about your CTRL method. If you walk from the farthest back tile, to the tile closest to her, in 1 click, but using CTRL, wont that mess up the timing? The way the uploader in this video is doing it, is he waits a bit after each 1 tile movement, whereas in your CTRL strat, we would be straight walking to the 2nd tile immediately af ter walking to the 1st tile. Wouldnt that make the tentacle not bother hitting the 2nd tile, since you walked so fast you are already on the 3rd tile? Straight of Enrage Phase, we are on further tile. We thrall and click boss, a tentacle shoots at us and another is about to. Wouldnt hitting CTRL click to the 3rd tile, so that we donjt have to manually click the 2nd and 3rd tile, fuck up the tentacle timing? Idk
@@superlucci its more to stop yourself from misslicking. cause if you missclick without holding CTRL you will run and skip a tile which screws up the timing.

Pointing out the timing of when the attacks register and showcasing slowed down footage with the attack noises in the video is *huge,* that sort of thing was the difference with me finally learning Leviathan after months and months of "hell no, never going to happen."
Level 99 Combat and this guide made my first attempt go really smoothly, Had her down to enraged before my nerves got the better of me. This boss is definitely doable if I can stop stressing!
I'm gonna be honest running in a circle with long diagonals around whisperer in enrage phase is infinitely easier than doing the strat. However, the strat makes the freeze stuff not matter and the pre-enrage easier so its still nice.
For those of you on a super budget setup, rune thrownaxe special attack hits like the venator bow and it costs 30% spec so you can deal with them all with perfect clicks I usually just miss one or two with rune throw axes
amazing guide, thanks. Absolutely 5 starts out of 5! But as in anything, there is room for improvement, in case of this video that would be on the "delivery" of the "message/methodology". The last phase of the boss, "the enraged phase" could use some more in debt description on what, how, why and sequence of "clicks priority" on what are you doing in the enraged phase. That is because a lot is going on in a very short time frame and every small detail counts. Improving on the above mentioned aspect would shorten the time needed of self practicing and figuring out for yourself while doing. It took me 2 days to get to the point where i could get a boss kill confidently and 3 days to get perfect boss kills, however with a better description of the methodology and process it would probably shorten the time to 1 day. Hope this feedback helps you in your future endeavors in the Osrs guide making. But as I said, the guide is by far the best for this boss! Thank you again.
Does the timing of the enrage phase change at all for a 5-tick weapon? Specifically about attacking when you are on the closest of the 3 tiles. Was thinking of going here now that i have a shadow but haven't touched the boss since I did the quest ages ago.
Did leviathan first try but it’s taken me 5 and counting for whisperer haha h haven’t even gotten to enraged phase yet. Both still easier than vardorvis which took me over a dozen tries. Duke was so crazy easy I’m prolly gonna farm him after questcape
Honestly I feel you but when you master it it’s actually quite rewarding, the mechanics are super punishing but you can get them right and take very little damage at all

I don't like any of the DT2 bosses but Duke (and Leviathan surprisingly) are what I'll stick to if I decide to grind them for some reason. Somehow no one else thought to mention she can melee you even after she goes back to her triple prayer swap attacks. Who wants to bet that's why I was struggling so much?
Anyone struggling with this fight id highly suggest doing your best to pray swap up until the end of phase 3. After that switch to protect from range and just tank the rest of the mage damage for the rest of the fight. Focus more on dodging the tenticals. This is your best bet when just trying to get the quest kill. Its how i got it after 20+ attempts. Im base 87 melee stats / 94hp / 89 mage w/ Ahrims, Toxic Trident, Occult, Eternal Boots, Unholy Book, Radas Blessing, Torture Bracelet, and Augorie. I used BP switch for the soul siphon phase. 2 ppots, 1 stamina, 5 karawbwans, rest of inventory manta rays.
Can you release a video with your client settings? yours looks much more clear than mine and easier to see. It's almost like the perspective is different as you can see a large area with your character looking clear and big still where mine looks half the size.
I really really really hate this boss 😭 I got a slayer task for her though so now I need to do it again. Hopefully this helps I have a feeling it will. I was running around like a chicken with its head cutoff during the enraged phase and died so many times during the quest. I haven’t done it since let’s see how it goes 😅
Probably 40? 50? attempts in bis gear, can't even kill the quest version. Not even this guide is helping. I know it's not me, I killed the other bosses but this one is fucking stupid.

great guide on the last 10min of it. please stop putting useless info to make your video longer. if youve gotten this far, you know what bis equipment is and how to get to the location. a minute long section on where a gravestone is cringe.
Next time please shorten the explanation of the gear, if we have gotten this far into the game to do dt2, I think we know how mage gear works, good guide otherwise
i'd rather have the gear section honestly. its tagged in the video, so if you are at that point, you can skip it on your own. but questing isnt really what i'd call "high end content" so assuming everyone knows is kinda a risky take at best. Add in the fact that the first advice we give new players is to quest means someone could very well make it to dt2 without having touched any real pvm, and might not know this stuff. As long as there are chapter sections in the video i do think its better to have it myself. i say this as a long time rs vet.
Pro tip watch this video in 2x speed. Video would have been actually watchable without the stupid ass slowmow. Runescape doesn't have a slowmow setting, in a rhythm based game why tf would you make the entire video half speed. The gaul to call it the best guide as well...
wdm? Whisperer alrdy was ez as fuck. Killin vita ghosts doesnt do anything than heal you and this is a 0 damage fight anyway. Kill mors ghosts for 50 damage or sanitas for sanity if you are runining low. Really good guide tho south tiles was something new.
Dude can you please help me. I need two more quests for my cape. This one and SOTE. This is my last boss for this terrible quest and I can't get past 150 hp. The whole fight is a struggle for me i cant even hope to beat the enrage phase. Im combat lvl 105 with 84 mage and 82 def. Pretty good gear and I just can't physically do this one boss. I really need some help somehow man. This isn't fair I'm being walled like this. This boss is absurdly difficult. Ive watched evey guide there is, went to reddit, tried new methods, spent money and still get no where. I saw you say you would coach in discord. Can you do that for me please ???

nothing will ever make this boss enjoyable to farm. probably the best guide/method out there, but this boss really shouldn't be in the game.

Did you put 1000 ether in it and then add more ether for the charges? It consumes the 1st 1k ether and doesn't count toward the charges.
You had it on the (a) version of it, which uses melee. Right click it and hit Swap to bring it back to the normal version special which is ranged

I prefer having it. I don't have the GP for max gear setups so knowing what's important will help me decide on what downgrades I can afford.
