In a way, it's wrong to say that Netaji failed. The naval mutiny, and violent protests against the british conducted by armed Indian soldiers/police who were getting laid off, along with the anger a huge part of the population had in general against the British after the trials against INA members. Even if Netaji's army failed, he was still able to get India free by making a huge part of the population revolt violently (in Clement Atlee's words as well). Even if he failed tactically, he won strategically

If we see the surface we get the idea that Netaji failed, but if you dive in deep you would realise he did not, he once said "An individual can die but his idea would live forever". What Netaji did was he instilled the idea to fight for own motherland, which played a big role in the Naval Mutiny and that mutiny forced British to leave India. Netaji's idea that Indian soldiers must only fight for India made many Indian soldiers reconsider their loyalty for the empire and the empire was ruling in India because of those soldiers. So, we need to sit down and introspect did Netaji really fail?

For those who think netaji failed, should know and read about the conversation between the British PM Attlee and Bengal governer after 2nd world war, where the Governer asked the PM that u r the most powerful right now on world stage, why r u leaving india now, becoz of gandhi? And the PM replied, "SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE". Thats what difference Bose & INA made. Its not a loss. It is a win and its becoz of him.
Whoever still think the Indipendence is due to Ahinsa only & only should dig, read and understand the events in history apart from popular narrative and history school books. There is contribution of many many great people known & unknown in the independence of india. The narration of the conversation i stated above is said to be in in Britain, it can be true it can be false but one should think, The INA was containing 25 lakh soldiers at that time think what it could have done, today indian army is of approx 15 lakh soldiers. This is an example of the reason why some historical facts are still unknown to public coz of the Narrative building excercise. Remeber,
"To establish Peace, One must be Powerful first."

I also admire deeply Hitler for his great help to Netaji. It is historically truth that Hitler had immense respect for Bose and he organised the supreme possible security in land, sea and air for protecting Bose during his legendary mythical 3 month submarine journey from Germany to Japan. Hitler ordered his generals that in case of any emergency, the decision of Bose will be absolute. Hitler treated him as the head of free India. Also Musolini requested Netaji to continue all his activities from Italy. Ready information is available on the great book "AMI SUBHASH BOLCHI" by Sailesh Dey. This book is a precious historical document of Indian freedom struggle.

It's because of his policies which created a famine in Bengal and it killed more than 3 million people. Hilter hated Jews with a passion and Churchill also hated Indians with that same type of passion.

Loved your beautiful words for Netaji. Just wish to add: Netaji spend two long years of his life in the notorious Mandalay jail in Burma. This was one of the two deadly jails of the British era, the other being Andaman's Cellular jail. Also, Netaji did not ultimately fail. His aim was India's political liberation. And his fight contributed indirectly in awakening the Indian sepoys and particularly the navy, leading to the exit of the Raj. We can say he failed in the sense that he was unable to prevent the establishment of a proxy govt. in India due to his absence at that crucial period. For the same reason, he also failed to prevent the partition.

What are your thoughts on the statement that was made by Clement Attlee saying that Netaji was responsible for India's independence? Is there any truth to this? From what I understood apparently Netaji and the INA with their actions had inspired the armed forces to resist the British which lead to the naval mutiny. Even though these attempts had failed it created a situation where the British could no longer trust their Indian soldiers. If this is true then Netaji was actually successful in a way.

Can you please tell some unknown facts about the king (Malhar Rao). And was he one of the most underrated kings in the Indian history??

"An individual may die for an idea, but that idea will reincarnate itself in thousand other lives"

He may have failed himself, but his idea ignited millions of Indians which ultimately lead to our freedom

Once there was an owner of a beautiful house. There was a certain wall in his house that he realised served no purpose and wanted to bring down. He announced to the town folks that a certain wall needs to be pulled down but only using kicks. Who ever kicks the wall hard enough to make it fall, gets the reward. One by one, people started coming and kicking. The wall didn't budge. Sometimes it so happened that someone was really brave and strong, they shook the wall but still couldn't break it. Then came a man with an army. He with the support of his army, was able to shake the wall and weaken it to a great extent. But the guy too couldn't pull the wall down. Then came an old man and slightly kicked the wall and the wall fell. The owner of the house (not realising that the wall had already become weak after being kicked for so long by so many people so many times) thought that the old man was really strong and impacful and gave the reward to him.

Hello Abhijit sir, I have 1 question for you: In my childhood my grandfather used to say "in the year 1942 Netaji after making Mayanmar Independent from British rule, he asked for help from 1 of the greatest personnel from Indian politics to arrange support of rest India to kick out British from India". Could you please check and confirm which history is correct?

Simple.... A society admires Warriors, not people who show one side of face after being salpped on another. Netaji was the true liberator of Bharat. The spark he created in British Indian army led to the Naval Mutiny of 1946, which led to the decision of British to exit India. 🇮🇳

Such an excellent answer given by abhijit chavda sir , its so true that leader should lead from front and as far as freedom is concerned, leader will risk his life first than his counterpart or their soldiers. Not like sitting beside britishers and let his people dying for practising satyagraha. Its like rat don’t want to run thinking one day cat will stop eating them.

In the words of Clement Attlee (PM of Great Britain then), the British left because of the impact of Netaji Bose. The impact of the non-violent movement was "minimal" on their decision to leave India.

My friends and everyone in my generation is busy preparing for a life to live in US and Europe. I watch Netaji's picture and think only when I change myself will I change everyone. He is my motivation to do something for my country. If I would have been alive during his time I would surrender myself and all my wealth to him and for India. I would follow him to hell and back. Such is his legacy, he was no way a failure.

very well said Sir, he failed because of that time politicians who deliberately planned to harm Netaji and postured him like a Villain ,and some how they succeeded also .....Netaji had the power to turn the tide since Indian masses followed him in large numbers. His speeches had the fuel in the fire effect. Netaji's approach was to vibrate of British Government and creating such an impact on their mind that they are forced to leave India.

Moreover naval mutiny was done in favour of INA which eventually helped India in getting independence and INA won non stop for 4 5 months before logistics collapsed due to Japanese withdrawal and onset of monsoon, INA proved that mighty British can be challenged and defeated, battle of Kohima is considered deadliest war in world war 2 where British Indian army was fighting against Indian national army , all these achievements in few year proves he is one the greatest leader of all time

    Well, Did he fail?
PB Chakraborthy was at that time the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court and was also serving as the acting Governor of West Bengal. He wrote a letter to the publisher of RC Majumdar's book, A History of Bengal. In this letter, the Chief Justice wrote, "When I was acting Governor, Lord Attlee, who had given us independence by withdrawing British rule from India, spent two days in the Governor's palace at Calcutta during his tour of India. At that time I had a prolonged discussion with him regarding the real factors that had led the British to quit India."
Chakraborthy adds, "My direct question to Attlee was that since Gandhi's Quit India movement had tapered off quite some time ago and in 1947 no such new compelling situation had arisen that would necessitate a hasty British departure, why did they had to leave?"
"In his reply Attlee cited several reasons, the principal among them being the erosion of loyalty to the British crown among the Indian army and Navy personnel as a result of the military activities of Netaji," Justice Chakraborthy says.
That's not all. Chakraborthy adds, "Toward the end of our discussion I asked Attlee what was the extent of Gandhi's influence upon the British decision to quit India. Hearing this question, Attlee's lips became twisted in a sarcastic smile as he slowly chewed out the word, m-i-n-i-m-a-l!

Even 99% of today's leaders do not come close to 10% of Netaji's Quality, honesty and values...his rank was fourth in ICS Exam(IAS equivalent)...could easily live a prosperous life...instead dedicated his everything for our independence...just imagine fighting against mighty USA as of today...that also militarily from the scratch...building an army, arrange money arms, planning etc all...just one person did that...Salute 🇮🇳🙏
