@cooksterz Oh my oh my...indeed that is a lady! I think the cuffs on the jeans threw me off. And the old lady spinning honestly fills me with the hope that if I reach her age, I'll be balls-out and heedless of eyes watching. In fact, I think that pretty much sums up the attitude of everyone there, comfortable being who they are, fearless and open and carefree at least for a little while.
Ahhh yes, it's always fun people watching at festivals. I've been lazy and didn't go to any this summer. I'll have to step up my game next summer and drag my butt out of the house to at least one. I got a BIG laugh out of the "Cooksterz in 20 years annotation" :)
@mcm07 As mentioned in the comments below, you got the crowd going! Great job to you and the band. Wish i would of filmed more of you guys, but those dancers kept calling to my camera. Congrats again on the Award and thanks for visiting The Market in San Antonio! :D come back soon!!
@MrRandomWritings they entertain themselves, and without even knowing it, they entertain the others! It keeps your senses alive, just visiting for an hour or so!
@SomebodyIusedtoknow She was an instant smile. I dont care what kind of mood you are in, if you could just watch her, its like therapy! Im gonna find her again at the next music event there. A few weeks!
@VictorTheGr8 yes the dancing old ladies are at every stage, these 2 were just the most filmwortny. Yea im spoiled on mexican food! Everytime i know there is a festival there, my mouth waters for the gordita! LOL
@P00P0STER0US LMAO thats no guy my friend, that is a lady!! LOL for real though. The old lady spinning is what i couldnt stop watching. She was spinning to warn us of the approaching trop storm! its a people watching good time!
@robertpina99 Took me a while to find out it was Mickey Y Sus Carnales - 2010 Conjunto Female Vocalist of the Year! She really did get that crowd moving! Even the old ladies!! haha couldnt find her, but maybe you can find her on facebook and send her this? cause i dont facebook, as you know! :D
@robertpina99 She was really great! Reminds me to look up that band! I have to put an annotation over the old spinning lady, that says "Cooksterz in 20 years".. ok maybe 15 lol
@LeSaMilano ah yes, the sopapilla is good, especially cause i love honey. This was a gordita (corn) , sopapillos are flour. My friend calls them "Mexican Beignets"! ha - ive had the fortune of living here and in new orleans. The beignet cannot be beat!!
Black skinny Elvis? I love that people still dance in the street - doesn't happen much here, everyone is too worried what everyone else will think of them.
I bust a gut at 2:43 when that guy came dancing into the frame. Pretty sure I'd have to watch the event with binoculars to avoid getting my ass kicked, at least for my first time. After that I'd be able to just enjoy it like everyone else :) Somebody should be selling leather beer holsters so people can dance with a beer on their hip.
@StylidiumLane Yea that color outfit was a bit Johnny Cash wasnt it? Still he had to tip jar, but lets face it, he was only posing. If he sang, maybe id offer some dollars! lol
