How much space is required to do maintenance (i.e. lay down the zip trays)? Suggestions on how to minimize mess?

      Hello Anna!
The towers are 4 feet long, and can be laid down either on the floor or a small table for cleaning and planting. The system otherwise is designed for small spaces and does not require any amount of space on the sides to complete maintenance tasks
      Thanks for watching!

      Hello!
There are 2 LED light bars built into the system, they are just hidden in the supports on the sides to keep the system looking clean!
More videos on this coming soon, thanks for watching!

Open source the build process and add more automation controlled from a smart phone. Feed the world, reduce reliance on corporations, stop the need for plastics clamshells and transportation. Plants, technology, and information should be free as in liberty (not free as in beer). Open sourcing would allow rapid, iterative improvements in design, modularity, and adoption. It could be a major contribution to provide nutrition to poor communities. Don't be evil.

Yes open source is good to help people take control of their own food source. We do offer lots of free educational videos on this channel to help growers get started either at home, commercially or in a greenhouse setting. More videos to come too in 2022 and you can also find free resources in our blog. zipgrow.com/zipblog/
