Self-publishing your book can feel like enrolling in Arizona State: your last option after endless rejection.
But it doesn't have to be that way. Great authors can self-publish and it can be a great way to ensure your creative freedom and avoid the headaches of traditional publishing. At least, that's what I'd tell my friends and family.
In this video, I'll take you through my self-publishing journey to help you avoid the same mistakes I made. For example, I'll you need to have a concrete marketing plan before hand, you need to use an editor and you need to send out advanced copies before publishing. Obviously, if you do these things you'll be very successful because so few people do it.

Sending out ARC to reviewers doesn't work so well when you write action/adventure/(very explicit) s&m erotic novels. Even reviewers of erotica tend to turn pale and shudder at the sight of my work. Fortunately my indie publisher does do a bit of marketing on my behalf.

Nonononono. You write a new story and leave that to the villain. You do not have to be a clone of your villain. You can for example base the protagonist on your character and write a protagonist who hates all these offenders.
