If Richard Simmons and Robin Williams had ever been on this show at the exact same time - we would be a completely different timeline after the resulting quantum collapse of awesomeness.
Richard and Robin were two performers who absolutely knew how to light everyone's heads on fire. The laughter never stopped, and their positivity ALWAYS shined through. I miss Robin, and Lewy-Body Dementia is obviously a terrible, stone-cold killer, but no one else could be more "immortal" than someone like Robin or Richard. IDK what Simmons is doin' now, but he's probably just kickin' it. Time to CHILL now that he's been a wildcard of adrenaline for like 70+ years! :D
People who hate on him need to shut their traps. That man genuinely cares about people’s well being physically, mentally, and emotionally. He’s fabulous.
Just found out a while ago, and my first reaction is to watch him back on whose line is it anyway. What a great and cheerful person he is. May he rest in peace. ❤
I just posted one of these videos yesterday for his birthday!!! This episode, and the Robin Williams one, are the two funniest ever on TV!!! I am so sad, so sharing his videos tonite to make others laugh and remember him :)
He's still bringing me joy on such a crap day. Watching this made me feel so happy. I ordered the complete collection of Sweating to the Oldies today. Richard Simmons and his body positivity will live on forever 💜
Definitely not denying the cast's talent, but I've read that they go through the song once to get a general feel for it, then go through it again for taping.
My friend was working on cleaning up the fallen towers when a huge pink limo pulled up. Simmons emerged in tears. He walked to the barriers and wept, wailed and his body shook with sadness. After awhile, he calmed down walked to my friend and his fellow workers and hugged each one and praised their work.
I love Richard. Then and now. I hope he's doing well and he's happy. He deserves so much good and happiness. I miss him, but he's entitled to his privacy.
Let me just point something out, here. _Wayne_ improvised the entire _song,_ and it was a _good song._ But _Richard_ improvised a whole _dance_ to go _with_ it, and _it was a good dance!_
Until this episode I never knew how funny Richard Simmons had an ability to do improv and you can tell when he was cast into this situation he was BRILLIANT.
Simmons is fascinating to me. As a 90s kid, immaturity was laughing at Simmons's mannerisms but maturity was realizing that, while Simmons may have been gay, his flamboyancy was played up and exaggerated for the purpose of entertainment and the man knew how to work a crowd up. And he did this during a time when homosexuality was way less accepted than it is today. He may have been the butt of many jokes but it was kind of impossible to hate him considering how genuinely pleasant, kind, and fun his onscreen presence was. All in all, I think Simmons is a pretty wholesome guy, especially considering what famous people tend to get up to. Hope he's doing well and life is treating him kindly.
It's not "accepted" more, at all. People are simply too afraid to voice their own opinions about the subject, because society has made people feel bad for having negative views on homosexuality. More people are not magically accepting gays - that would be a fallacy.
This is the Richard Simmons we all know and love. He helped me when I was young to loose weight being a member of his gym and I wish they would bring it back. So much fun :)
So there was actually a sorta long running joke on the show where now and then Drew would “announce” a guest that obviously wasn’t actual there (i.e- “please welcome madonna!”) everyone would laugh and they’d move on with the show m. at 0:15 when drew announces Richard Simmons you can tell Wayne thinks Drew’s just making a joke and the look on his face when he realizes Richard Simmons is actually there is the funniest thing ive ever seen 😂
Richard Simmons knows how to make an entrance! And getting the rest of the cast up to dance with him, and then coming in with a big finish! Absolutely legend!
The best part of this episode is the build up to Richard Simmons coming on. The first two games (Newsflash and Multiple Personalities) both involved Simmons in some way
Have always loved Who's Line Is It Anyway, British and American versions. But never saw this one before. Absolutely hilarious and so fun. Thank you Richard, R.I.P.
This was the most entertaining moment ever. It was too bad Ryan didn't want to dance, I guess he doesn't like Richard or was shy dancing? idk, but this was a great episode lmao.
I remember my twin bro an I watching this every night in are high school days. An when I saw this I was like OH God but Richard made it Comedy Gold during this episode.
If Richard Simmons and Robin Williams had ever been on this show at the exact same time - we would be a completely different timeline after the resulting quantum collapse of awesomeness.
The two best episodes ever! I give the Richard Simmons episode position 1, Robin Williams 1A.
Everyone watching would be dead from laughing too hard

It might have caused a resonance cascade with unforeseen consequences...
I think if they were both on at the same time a hole would tear in the fabric of the comedy universe.
Say what you want about Simmons but the man can really entertain an audience.
He's adorable.
He is a ray of sunshine 🌞
People who hate on him need to shut their traps. That man genuinely cares about people’s well being physically, mentally, and emotionally. He’s fabulous.
Ive got tearsof laughter down my face rn funniest moment ever recorded
I honestly don't know why anyone would have something bad to say about him.
Who else is here after learning of Simmons' passing?
Just found out a while ago, and my first reaction is to watch him back on whose line is it anyway. What a great and cheerful person he is. May he rest in peace. ❤

Once I heard about Richard‘s passing, my thoughts went immediately to this episode. This was comedy gold.
🥺
Greg's face when Richard Simmons is announced is just priceless.
He's like oh no.
It's priceless
Wayne Brady's improv skills are top notch
One of my favorite Wayne bits
Crazy impressive how he can divide his attention between the song and keeping up with Richard’s dance moves.
@@fivebaloney7492 I was thinking the same thing! He's amazing
True. He is beyond.
Wayne was always my favorite, he's amazing!!!
That man was an explosion of pure energy whenever he entered a room.
So do you remember him wearing a headband ever? Or did he not wear a headband? I can't remember I was to young but everyone is saying he did.
@@christenholbrook7097I could’ve sworn I saw him wear one too.
I'm just in awe of Wayne's ability to create a song on the fly, thematic, with rhymes _and_ humor...that's a special skill!
All while dancing following someone elses improv dance moves!
Fabulous
Definitely not denying the cast's talent, but I've read that they go through the song once to get a general feel for it, then go through it again for taping.
I lost it when he was pretending to pick Richard's hair out.
@@rockerseven yeah if it's on tv it's staged

RIP RICHARD!!! The world LOVED you!!!
One of the funniest episodes of Who’s Line.
Rest in Peace Richard Simons we will always miss you.
Gregs look of astonishment gets me everytime
The world could do with a million Richard simmons nowdays..
I love Richard. Then and now. I hope he's doing well and he's happy. He deserves so much good and happiness. I miss him, but he's entitled to his privacy.
Today, 12July, is his 75th birthday!!!!
Richard was such a beam of happiness, he lit up a room. And DAMN was he so unapologetically himself, all the time. RIP ❤
I just heard Richard Simmons passed away today. RIP to the man who made one of the funniest Whose Line eps
Gregs face showed they had NO idea he was gonna be there
Let me just point something out, here. _Wayne_ improvised the entire _song,_ and it was a _good song._ But _Richard_ improvised a whole _dance_ to go _with_ it, and _it was a good dance!_
He really had a skillset for every venue, didn't he? That's talent, pure and simple!
His secret superpower was being himself, no one else could be Richard Simmons but him.
Until this episode I never knew how funny Richard Simmons had an ability to do improv and you can tell when he was cast into this situation he was BRILLIANT.
Rest in Peace Mr Simmons- thanks for the years of motivation, support, and laughter!❤
"He might be white, but look at that fro"😂
Wayne did an amazing job--not only making up an actual song, but singing it while keeping up with Richard. FABULOUS!
Only guest that comes on and hugs everyone...enough said
Richard Simmons is the greatest guest of all time on every show he’s ever been on.
Richard Simmons is an inspiration to all who want to get healthy and have fun

I love Richard sooooo much. He still makes me smile in 2024 ❤
This is the Richard Simmons we all know and love. He helped me when I was young to loose weight being a member of his gym and I wish they would bring it back. So much fun :)
Keep an eye out on Colin, while they are dancing..man was keeping up with Simmons..Colin is clearly a skilled dancer.
😢 we're gonna miss you Richard
Rest easy Richard, we will truly miss you 💙🕊️😢
Wayne was acting like he met his hero in life. I love it. 😂❤ Ryan is also the absolute epitome of "Go on boy, give us nothing!" here 😂😂

He might be a little crazy but damn does richard simmons knew how to hype a crowd.

Wayne Brady will never be the same in my mind after Chappelle's show 🤣 shit was legend
Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a b$tch? 😂🤣😂🤣
God bless Richard Simmons. Such an inspiration and so much fun. 80's wouldn't be the same. This was so cheeky and fun. Thank you!
This is a certified hood classic
Rest in Peace Richard Simmons.
July 12th, 1948 - July 13th, 2024
Age 76 years, and one day.
We all feel ten pounds lighter because Richard brings joy and lifts spirits.
The world laughs with him and not at him; andni hope he knows it everyday
The way Greg and Wayne faces lit up when Richard Simmons came out.
I remember that episode vividly. Richard Simmons was off the charts. I almost died laughing.
to: Mr Simmons 😢 You Are Missed Sir 🫡

God, I love that guy! 100% authentic love and fun!
Ryan's commitment to always trying to avoid singing and dancing at all costs, while still participating and not just being a spoil-sport, is legendary
You haven't seen funny until you've watched Richard Simmons on Who's Line Is It. He is truly a gift.
There is no way in all of comedy that an audience laughed as hard as this one. It can’t be beaten.
That song unironically so friggin amazing for no reason!!!!!! XD Love Wayne and this show!
Greg's laugh is contagious
One of the most memorable guests in Whose Line history. Rest in Peace Mr. Simmons.
This episode had the funniest part on the game Living Scenery with Richard Simmons
Agree💯💯💯💯
I think he needed a a quarter
I loved watching Richard Simmons while growing up. He was always so upbeat. He's so hard not to like.
Richard Simmons is such a sweetheart ❤

The absolute joy in this clip! Happiness defined 😜👍
He is a natural entertainer. Hilarious episode start to finish with him. Living scenery had me in tears
Who knew that Richard Simmons was such a high level chaos goblin.
Gen X has always known, that's why we've been so fascinated by him for the past fourtyish years. Cheers to all the chaos goblins! 🖤
Rip richard simmons ❤
So funny how they were all doing his moves! He was the best guest ever on that show!
Unbelievably good 😂 Proops reaction when Richard was announced: proof of how honest this show is. 😅
This was the most entertaining moment ever. It was too bad Ryan didn't want to dance, I guess he doesn't like Richard or was shy dancing? idk, but this was a great episode lmao.
Ryan consistently hated dancing and singing in this show
not as funny as the other game involving him in the same ep. the one with the waterskiis.
Ryan has back issues too, maybe he knew how "intense" it would get and didn't want to risk throwing his back out.
@@highstimulation2497 Jetskis, yes. I was watching that at 3am, and I screamed. More than once.
People were sleeping.
Think he had a bad back and never did anything super physical.
Wayne: "What's my wife gonna say?"
Richard Simmons is insane
One of the best episodes!👍
The long pause before "What the hell you doin?!" kill me
Could we all appreciate Ryan's DJing in the back please
They never ready for Richard Simmons!!
