Thanks for the info. :) We were planning on trying out the get-behind-pink-bean thing but we didn't get that far. Alot of people seem to forget this is an attempt to work out the ropes, not some die hard destroy him. We were just learning how the fight is and trying to organize accordingly.
Too bad it's not properly working. I would've liked to see how long you all lasted. Going by the other Pink Bean vids, he really lets loose once the first timer runs out x.x
You guys seem pretty well organized, i guess pb is just too much HP for just one hour to kill. Good job and i look forward to watching you guys take him down soon!:D
The flipside of that though is that the boat breaks often enough to cause their damage to average out less than other classes at bosses. Besides that, sure, they're great.
@wbboy1925 It was a certain fail run anyways. We knew we couldn't beat him - we also knew there was set group of ranged attackers in Windia that had the amount of HP (18k atm) to survive one of the Pink Bean genesis attacks.
They already gave paladins a significant boost that makes them fit for even neutral element bosses. They also increased threaten which can and will save alot of melee alot of hp washing just for Pink Been.
I'm sure they'll increase the time limit at some point- probably the Black Mage will become the ultimate boss at some point at which point they'll give you a couple hours to kill this. Clearly, the time limit is the enemy a lot more than the boss itself. Of course,a lot of people in the group in the video still have a lot of leveling up to do at the time of the video.
I'm so out of the loop these days I wouldn't know if it was happening tomorrow. I haven't been playing Maple much lately due to college, work, and other offline things that keep me busy.
@wbboy1925 Ehh I believe this is partially untrue. There's an auto-gm thing for specially monitoring what goes on the room but I don't believe it is an actual person. I believe the ign it uses or w/e is GMPolice or something... really can't remember.
Snipe only does 199k, it has a cooldown of 5 seconds on it's own. Also a Buccaneer's Time Leap has a cooldown of its own that's like 30 minutes or something. We have other reasons for not using snipe which I won't discuss here.
@xSunxMoon TBH I think our group had a very minimal impact from the 50%'s.. I'm quite sure most of the strong and rich already had perfect weapons anyways. It was the release of potential equipment that really takes the stage. check my newest PB video, that's the success run. :)

@Darkning No No, I'm from Mardia and our first zakum there were GM's watching us and lt was as clear as day they were there just to watch. Now We attempted Pb. There were 3 Gm's watching us,Apperently the whole time o_O. They came out of hiding when we killed the 1,2,3,4th Stat. They do watch personally because no one shuld be able to beat pink bean in 1 hour unless you had GODLY hp'd Range with amazing damage including mele as well.
All of the sons apart from the very beginning of the first video were taken from the free-release album "In Rainbows" by Radiohead. I would encourage you to go out and download the CD, it is completely legal and authorized by the band. If you like it enough, then they have released hard copies you can pay for as well as a method of support to the band. Including the songs in these videos were my way of supporting them.
Looks like everyone might need to make a Cygnus Knight character in order to raise their stats high enough to have a better chance to kill this guy in less than an hour(in case you don't know everytime you level up your KoC character, the character that is linked to it(your main) gets more AP. At least that's what I learned from the KoC quiz books dropped in GMS currently, hope it wasn't a stupid typo and it actually meant SP >_>).
200 in maplestory is VERY difficult to get, it can take months even years even with the new updates! Good luck finding ~30 level 200s willing to PB (not sure bout max in pink bean squad)
What you personally would prefer is your own choice. Again I will state paladins were given a significant boost, it doesn't matter if the PQ was supposedly ruined as you say, they have the ability to do a large amount of damage on neutral targets and also reduce the stats of an enemy. Remember this one thing, the class doesn't mean the character is super strong, the equips and how the player uses the character makes the difference.
That's funny we actually had somebody say they were gonna pull one but they didn't go through with it. We do have a person that was (probably) the first to flashjump over Ariel/Pink Bean.
well, Paladins are warriors and in these runs warrior do indeed help out. although you can ask almost any Paladin - even they say their classes suck. Hopefully Nexon will release some noteworthy balances for them in their upcoming KMS patches.

@KidRevan KoC most likely not be useful because Mini Bean is 150 and statues and Pink bean are 180 and there would be alot of Missing due to the max lvl as 120 they could probably hit Mini Bean tho
certain things when they get KB'd(I think the KB is like 150k or something) do really nasty things. Although, I don't think that even happens until later but I'm not sure.
pallys are the only ones that can kb pb and they have, to its touch damage is like 20k+ if its starts walking towards the ranged characters... needless to say we would be even more doomed
Even with only 30 people, bandits are incredibly weak at bossing. The best parties consist of 1 bishop per party, 1 archer providing sharp eyes(4th job critical skill), 1 dragon knight for hyper body, and other ranged attackers like night lords or other archers. Warriors are good and are usually placed into warrior-only party that fights seperately from the rest of the group.
@TeamCeMA5 Much stronger. So strong that nobody in GMS has yet defeated him. Also because Nexon has glitched him and made him autoban anybody that has enough HP to take a hit. That last attempt in Windia - 5 players who touched him were banned for one month. Besides the bans - he's still the most difficult boss GMS has ever known and is currently EXTREMELY hard to beat( you need everyone in the room capable of taking over 13k+ damage).
uhh scania has 101 lvl 200's in their server im pretty sure that they have a good chance at being the 1st server to kill them. but i still think that they need to break the cap lvl200 i heard that they might cap it at ll 250 but im not sure
@Devincoughlin Seeing as there isn't enough level 200's in GMS, it's still impossible killing him, and even with HP-washing, you still only have an hour to beat him.

But Naw you guys did a great job from my point of view and for a server that organize's I might just move to Windia.. Before seeing this, That was my first server choice :P
@maplemeep JMS has had it beat for months but they have more time just like i forgot that MS but they had like 11 hours I have it on my fav's but this one MS got 11 hours to kill it and Err If I remember correctly JMS didn't have apples correct?
Eh, that's debatable for now, however after we get the KMS skill balances it should be much more comparable. Most of the Paladins I know(who happen to all be lv. 200) all say that their class sucks. :/
i think if ther werh 50+ bandits dexles and 50+ clarics AND 50+ daxles weriros (btw i ment more then 50 pipl) kevels 180+ so pb whold die if all thet whold go kill him x3 but wher cen we find 150 pipl level 180+? :O
the worst about pink bean is that at hes final phase he has a dmg higher than horntail and if thats nit enough he can move and he is fast unlike zak/horntail which dont move, about BG these can be knock-backed its hard to knock-back pink bean even with apple cause of the high def -.- = IMPOSSIBLE
if only there was a summon chuck norris skill then this would be possible :D and that statue is just chillin there readin a book o.o awesome job though
Depends on which pq you are talking about, paladins can do just as well as heroes can on 1v1 targets with the rebalancing done, and that is basically the entire Pink Been fight, you're basing the whole paladin is weaker than hero thing still on one run, that's a horrible way to compare the two classes. I suppose I worded my previous post poorly, the class makes a difference but not as big of a difference as the equips and the way the player uses that character. People do check out the dps bas

Man how did KMS do it! Its soooooo hard. Someone said rotating smokescreens was helpful, but to do billions of damage in 1 hour? yeesh, at least an hour and a half.
Who was bragging? Our group was just going to attempt, none of us actually thought we had a chance of killing him on the first try. We have alot of preparing and strategizing to do.
Dam I need to wash so much to withstand PB touch dmg.. Not to mention I need a new computer. Good attempt guys, really good for a first try. Just take away from this that you didn't have yout own Leroy Jenkins like Scania did.

@huy218 the last digit is 5 I believe. So he is 175. Try watch in HD, you will see the number better lol
what are the other reasons? Because i have a lvl 161 Marksman.

Sins are already within the top 3 damage per second dealing classes in the game. We don't need any more class-specific upgrades.

That's correct, TMS has 12 hours to kill it while the other versions have an hour. I think it took them about 5 or 6 hours to kill it.
@KidRevan KoC would make adventurers obsolete. They have more base AP gain per level( up to 70), and their skills are really strong at low levels.

As far as we know the timer never resets like it was supposed to do once we reach ariel.

I don't think they didn't go up because they couldn't take the damage, probably because of a status infliction if they crossed a certain line.

Yeah although it seems that the archers in our group are more prepared than anyone else.

No, Rizky is right. It drops reverse weapons and time rocks, not actually the timeless weapons.

Yeah, SgtBawble was here. he's level 200. We had another bucc that was 16x with us as well.
The bucc's probably using Dragon Strike because it's the only ranged move he had at the moment.

I can't get my sound card to record the bgm. just load another video and listen to that. The same song for an hour would get very old.

Are you using Attck Pots? And if so, What type? If no, get demon Elixirs. ;-)

I don't see how you can be a long way away still. lv 200 is the max and they have over 300 of them now. Were almost at the best that we can be.
