@@christophergruenwald5054alley oop is way harder than straight frontside 360s, and it should be rewarded higher, doing two hail mary moves doesn't make it repetitive, makes it more crazier actually.

I have never seen anyone destroy a wave like that and I have 51 years of surfing and watching the best each generation has to offer under my belt to say this Filipe Toledo if a score for a wave could ever go above 10 then this would have to be the one
Let me ask u - at what point in surfing did surfers start doing tricks of this magnitude? As a casual observer & fan I feel like this is relatively new, right? Within last decade?
@@MoDeegroes I’d say Josh Kerr fits the criteria. His match up v Fanning at Snapper was insane, and he was underscored. He was ahead of the game.

He's the best small wave surfer in the world. Jon Jon is the best all around surfer on the planet. When we are talking a level of world Champs like irons Slater Jon Jon it really comes down to what style you like best. For me best ever is Slater and Jon Jon I like their styles the best.

We talked about these moves in the 70s but had a lot of doubt it could be done.

I called this one live…told my buddy Toledo is going to go off on this next wave after the last wave of his competitor (?) was in the epic range
I've never surfed but I have rarely land bs 3s on a skateboard. Can't even imagine doing back 3s on a slippery surfboard. And twice on the same wave. I can tell that that is a special once in a life time moment.
