Thanks for sharing. I don’t see an Allen wrench. Maybe an opened end or box end wrench.

Thank you for insight on how to do it yourself, I would add apply release ease to hopefully get it off easier next time. Thank you!
Also, that shield should pull up for center blade access. Thanks!

What year and model do you have? I have a 14 Z force SZ and it has a handle on the right side to raise and lower the deck. Your's seems to use the left pedal? I like your clamp method for holding your box wrench. Good video.

thanks for the video. much easier than removing the whole deck.

wrap a chain around the front where the wheels are, use your loader to pick the thing up, change the blades and lower the thing. Way, way, way faster. You can even power wash the underside of the deck while you are at it.
If you don't want to do that, if your deck is like mine (Hustler) it takes all of 1 minute to drop the deck and pull it out.

I Like the blade idea. I been having issues with to much grass building up..heavy year on the rain and the mower does not like it.

If you just drop the deck and take it out it's way easier. Did it today twice once to change blades. The second time because I got a strap wound up in blades.

Take the deck off much easier - I did it today. I wish there was a video for that but it wasn't bad.

I find it's easier to get a specific size of 4x4 and use it to jam the place against the angles of the deck to lock the blade using it to break the nut loose

pull your mower on trailer ramp. drive up on either side. plenty of room under neath. get air tools. way less dangerous

Thanks for posting the video. I think I'm going to try it that way. Instead of the way that Cadet says. Which is to remove the deck completely.

Thanks for watching my videos. Good idea! Will make a sharpening drill bit jig. Not sure if I will have time this summer but will definitely sleep on it. I also want to make another knife sharpener. One that is easier to make and more compact. Cheers!!
