  • We started our ride on FS 83 in the Nantahala National Forest and rode up to Albert Mountain and then back to Standing Indian campground. Along the trip we passed Pickens nose trail and the Albert Mountain fire tower. The road was very icy and covered in snow. There were many difficult sections but the F150 with 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers had no problems at all. There were multiple cars stuck on the side of the road who couldn’t make it, and a few of us who were a little better prepared and did make it . We had a blast on this road. We even got out the sleds for the kids to do some sledding in Franklin. We hope you enjoy the video.

Is it ok to admit now that I’m glad he didn’t listen to me? 😂 I love seeing snow! The frozen icicles were beautiful!

Your truck is a beast!! That two wheel GMC didn’t stand a chance out there. Would like to hike to standing Indian soon. Keep up the videos. Cheers!

We had a blast! The hike out of Standing Indian is tough but totally worth it! We lost a lot of footage of previous videos. I either lost the GoPro 7 or it was stolen. It had a full 512 gig memory card in it. Total bummer. We are catching up though. Thanks for watching! Can’t wait for your next video!

@@SANDTOUTDOORS did someone take it off your car? I’ve accidentally left mine on the roof Mount before and felt extremely lucky someone didn’t steal it. That memory card is worth a good bit too. Sorry to hear about the loss of footage. At least you still have the 9 and are capturing some great footage. I’ve been injured and have to do shorter in town hikes and gear reviews until the knee heals. You adventures with the family are building so many memories for the future. Keep up the great videos. Cheers!
