I'm rediscovering the Climax Blues Band lately. Keeps me sane in these strange Corona times!

Just love Peter's Westbury Custom-II guitar - much like Peter himself, the Westbury guitars were/are some of the best guitars ever made yet rare enough to still go under the radar (although that seems to be changing - these are professional-only guitars that are now extremely hard to find). Thanks for posting!

i love that band since the beginning..amazing..using sax and flute in a blues rock band is still fresh today..and the vocals are so ironic it is nice to see they did not take themselves seriously since the Englishmen were not as connected to the blues as the Americans themselves..excellent..congratulations..

Man, this is great! I seem to be on a Climax Blues Band kick lately, and I'm really glad I found this. It's a shame they didn't have more big hits, and especially that several of them are no longer with us. But we still have the music. Thanks for posting this!

I saw them in Denver Co 1974 at Ebbets Field nightclub, seating capacity was 225. Awesome! Leo Sayer opened. Great band.

Great. Saw them in ‘73 at my college! American U, Wash. DC. They were great. Never forgot Pete’s aluminum Velenos shining in the sun.

....did they do "Mole On The Dole" as part of that set? SUCH a criminally-overlooked number.....

I love their vocals. Instead of typical harmonies they do an octave lower. Cool sound.

To all those asking about stereo, you should be thankful we can still see a great band. The proper CBB line-up before it all went wrong.

You should hear them play So Many Roads. Can't remember the name of the album it was on but it was always on my turntable. Awsome.

Brilliant! Can I ask, was it filmed in January 1982 or simply broadcasted in January (& recorded some months before?). Thanks.
