    About this course:
Welcome to the Machine Dynamics course, while a fun and easy course, an essential part of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering! We will introduce six key chapters that lay the groundwork for understanding mechanical systems. In Chapter 1, we'll start by exploring how mechanisms work, helping you see how things move in various machines. Moving on to Chapter 2, we'll talk about Degrees of Freedom, a concept that's all about understanding the possibilities and limitations within a machine motion. Chapter 3 introduces us to the Instant Center of Velocity, a crucial point in studying motion and kinetics. In Chapter 4, we'll focus on the Kinematics of Gears Train, breaking down the complexities of Simple, Parallel, and Planetary systems. The following chapters will cover Euler's Equation, Energy Method, and Gyroscopic Motion, aiming to make these topics approachable and practical. Throughout the course, we'll emphasize theory, problem-solving, and real-world applications, providing you with a solid foundation for your future endeavors in the exciting world of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. In this lecture series, the topics will follow as:
Lecture 1. An Introduction to Machines and Mechanisms
    Lecture 2. Degree of Freedom
Lecture 3. Instant Center of Velocity - Part I
Lecture 4. Instant Center of Velocity - Part II Problems
    Lecture 5. Gear Train - Part I - Introduction
Lecture 6. Gear Train - Part II - Gears Geometry
Lecture 7. Gear Train - Part III - Simple and Compound Trains
Lecture 8. Gear Train - Part IV - Planetary Train
Lecture 9. Gear Train - Part V - Examples and Problems
Lecture 10. Mass Moment of Inertia and Kinetics of Rigid Body
Lecture 11. Rigid Body Kinetic Energy
    Lecture 12. Gyroscopic Moment
Some of the images and problems are adopted from Engineering Mechanics: Dynamics, by Meriam; and Kinematics, Dynamics, and Design of Machinery by by Kenneth J. Waldron.
