- So here's my prediction video for 1st Semi Final on Tuesday. There are some changes after rehearsals compared to my first prediction video.
What do you think who will qualify?

You can't be more wrong about Croatia. Franka has left everybody speechless after first rehearsal, even the ones who did not like her before ..and actually that one performance is all she/we needs. Mr. Myself Switzerland and Ireland both deserve it after years but I think Ireland has the upper hand here. (I know FYR Macedonia is waiting for the longest but there's no chance for them in this semi) Still don't lose hope until your country's name isn't called. (That's what I do every year, btw, I'm from Slovenia)
Mr. Myself And guess what... It was actually televoters who buried Switzerland's chances of qualifying. Juries had them at 10th place over Finland and Lithuania.

I have a strong feeling Estonia could either win or completely flop in the semi-final. And I don't see Czech Republic winning the semi, but their place in the final is 100% sure.

I don't think either, but it could throw some people off, we never know how people are gonna see it at home!
There are still juries here and they will love "pure" opera, not pop-ish kind of like in 2015. (That's not my thought, it's actually one of my fave entries ever but I'm trying to get in their heads about it)

i don't know why you bring up 2015 when talking about Estonia's televote problems; "Goodbye to Yesterday" got huge televote scores in the semi AND final
Although last year, Estonia WOULD have qualified for the Grand Final if it were just based on televote; it was the juries that held them back
For me Estonia 2015 was a contender to win, getting "only" 144 points in the final isn't that much for such a strong song and good performance. The jury scores were even worse but as we know these results are kind of random sometimes...
PlatinSam it was up against a huge trifecta in Italy, Sweden, and Russia though. I thinking stealing 144 points from them is still an accomplishment

I dont agree with you , But of-course its only my opinion . I think Israel will win because Netta the best . But in your prediction (differently from your own opinion ) There are songs I cant to believe wont get to the finel - Franca from Croatia (I think she have the most chance to be the black horse this year ) ?? Albania Spain UK and Azerbaijan used to vote for My country greece but there are only Cyprus Armenia and maybe Bulgaria that will give us 13-16 points in total except 24 from Cyprus

Well Albania didn't come up 12th in their semi-final. They came up 11th in the Grand Final where all the countries are, and they didn't relay on their neighbors like Greece and Macedonia who gave them 6 pts or Italy, which didn't give them any points at all. And nor on their diaspora for that matter. Good vocals are universally appreciated by music experts, you dont need geopolitics :P
Every voting allies I've talked about are only televoting points. It's clear that a jury wouldn't vote like the diaspora. Looking at these points we have in Semi Final: Albania got 12 points from Macedonia, 10 from Greece and Switzerland.
In Final: 12 points from Italy and Macedonia, 10 from Greece and Montenegro.
well I dont think you can generalize like that, since the juries also tend to vote geopolitically (Greece gave 12 pts to Cyprus, Montenegro to Serbia, Russia to Moldova and so on..) You don't have to insist that Albania qualified because of the neighbors, they ended up 11th in the Final scorebord (higher than most entries frm SF1 and SF2) - that means the song was good and definitly underrated in all predictions...
Switzerland is here TOP5 juries and could sneak into final. I would say 9-12 to them

Well, i think i couldn't disagree more. First, this is not all about allies and enemies, just take in consideration the last 2 editions. Second, Czech can qualify, but it's a completely meaningless song and to be first in a semi which has Bulgaria and Estonia would b a bad joke. It's already free falling in the odds. Third, i reckon Belgium's live not as strong as studio version, but it's still way ahead of Ireland or Azerbaijan.
