How did you even see that in the video! The camera was shaking a bit because I was pulling it out of my vest. Looks like he's wearing a Tahoe 200 shirt but I had to pause the video to see that. Haha!
Hi Chad!! Congrats on your finish!! I am doing this as my first 50 km race next month. Your course video is a great preview!! This is my first year trail/ultra running. I hope to do a little more running than power hiking on this course. Thank you for what you give to the community! Enjoy!
I'm so happy that you found this useful and I appreciate your comments! It's a great race for beginners and experienced trail runners. Good luck this year! I'm hoping to run the 50 miler next year.
Thanks for the video, and congrats on the finish! I'm going to attempt this one next month, and it'll be my first ultra. I'm not as ready as I'd like to be, but it'll be a learning experience- either I'll finish, or I'll gain some valuable insight for a 50k I'll be running in February. Either way, this is already a go-to area for me to hike, so it'll be a great time no matter what!
You always run on such beautiful trails and take on tough challenges! Special note: Skechers is having a super sale on all models until 9/23. I just bought a pair of Ride 10's for $87.46 on Running Warehouse!!
Thanks for checking out the video! I love running these Colorado Mountain trails. They truly are spectacular and unique in their own right. That sounds like a really good deal at running warehouse as well!
So awesome to see your family cross the finish with you!! I'm guessing the announcer never read your notes from your registration? Haha (Was that this race sign up?) Great finish!!
@@JeremyBenfield I wouldn't say it's a thing, but It's not uncommon to have private ranches sitting on many acres of land in the mountains. In this case, the land was owned by the boy scouts and they probably sublease it to some ranchers.
@@SeeChadRun sounds good. I'm thinking about running the 50k, you're inspiring me, but I've never run more than a half marathon and that was 20 years ago! Just a little nervous about getting ready in time, I have the W. Virginia Spartan Beast this weekend then just 4 weeks to prep and have only done 9-10 mile long runs
I'm not going to say the race will be easy, but it will definitely be a wonderful experience and a pretty cool way to triumph over something difficult. I think you could get there with a little more training including some long runs. You could always opt for the shorter distance just to experience some trail running and then do the 50k next year too.
@@SeeChadRun well thanks Chad! I'm kind of caught between, since I know I can do the half no problem (I'll do that distance + this weekend in WV) but the 50k is really uncomfortable and maybe not enough time. Anyway, maybe will see you there. Keep up the good work sir!

Just now seeing this. My wife is thinking of doing the 50 miler this year. Looks like a great race! Congratulations on the 12th overall finish!
Thank you Steven! I definitely recommend the race! It's a beautiful area, although what trail race isn't beautiful ;-)
Great video Chad! Congrats on a great performance! I love the Wes Ritner sighting at 9:25! AWESOME!

Loved the video! Great work out there and what a way to finish with your kiddos! Nice work.
Thanks Greg! Appreciate you watching the video. The girls were pretty excited and were waiting anxiously to run across the finish line with me!
BIG CONGRATS CHAD!!!! 12th OVERALL!?!? STUD!
Thanks Cory! I feel good about my efforts and really enjoyed the race!
Congratulations. Awesome run!
Thank you! Really appreciate your support, enthusiasm, and for checking out the video!

It's a great first 50k! I'm hoping to run Red Feathers again next year (likely the 50 mile). I hope you enjoy the race and crush your goals!
The race was yesterday, and I finished! The last 9 miles were rough, but I finished 30 minutes ahead of my goal!
@jenniferk782 congratulations! That's pretty exciting and well done.
Impressive!
Thank you Greg! It was a great race and fun to have the girls there too!

He didn't read my notes. I think part of it was because the first place female was coming in right behind me. It was a great race though!
@@SeeChadRun And are random roaming cows a thing over there?

Are you running this race again next month?
I'm not even though I would love to! I'm going to see if I can volunteer for it though.

Nice video ... sadly spoiled by horrible noise pollution - the "music" 😢
You probably won't like my Never Summer 100k race video then ;-) ruclips.net/video/ogpTTB5_d7Y/видео.html
