Kento Nanami versus Choso, out of all the big Shibuya topics within the community I see this not really getting talked about as much since a lot of versus battles have these two characters fighting other people. So today I figured why not essentially have Nanami replace Yuji in Shibuya and see how the mentor would deal with his students proclaimed brother, Choso. For this video I’d like to first analyze their capabilities and see where they stack up in universe before I can give a clear cut breakdown on how this fight would go. Now in the last choso related battle I talked about him first, so to avoid repetition, I’m going to be talking about the mentor that we all know and love (and that got turned into swiss cheese) Kento Nanami. Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is the son of Jin Itadori and Kaori Itadori, and the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. Yuji was living a normal life in Sendai City until he encountered Megumi and ate one of Sukuna's fingers. After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi and Nobara as first-year students. Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected and published in 21 tankōbon volumes as of December 2022. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. Jujutsu Kaisen is a sequel to Akutami's Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, serialized in Shueisha's Jump GIGA from April to July 2017, later collected in a tankōbon volume, retroactively titled as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in December 2018. Jujutsu Kaisen is licensed for English-language release in North America by Viz Media, which has published the manga in print since December 2019. Shueisha publishes the series in English on the Manga Plus online platform. Two novels, written by Ballad Kitaguni, were published in May 2019 and January 2020, respectively. A 24-episode anime television series adaptation produced by MAPPA, aired on MBS from October 2020 to March 2021. The anime is licensed by Crunchyroll for streaming outside of Asia, which premiered an English dub in November 2020. The anime's original soundtrack was released in April 2021. Dagon has more endurance than Hanami but hanami is the most durable
nanami basically said that regardless of how hard he hits Dagon, its like the amount of damage he takes is irrelevant
Maki also fought this same Dagon
later a stronger Maki fights Naoya and compares naoyas durability to hanami who is the benchmark for durability and not dagon, making a clear distinction between hanamis durability and dagons endurance
Another point for dagons endurance is the fact that toji had to stab him a bunch of times through his head for him to die where this would usually kill you, even hakari (?)

Dagon got a better defense than Choso's blood armour evident by how he was taking hits from a Yuji level fighter and Naobito who should be stronger using Naoya's logic and scaling. 'Strength is weight and speed!!'

I think we are forgetting that Nanami has more experience in the field and life in general. He would be of the mannerisms of piercing blood as well as the possibility of using water as a weakness for Chosos blood. He also has his weapon that can pose as a guard to block and/or parry the move.

Fine I'll answer the qurstion myself, it's probably Yuji, he showed somewhat relativity to Maki and has blood manipulation and soul abilities now, and didn't get instantly bodied by Sukuna unlike Choso

@@user-ci3bf1mo5r They're relative. Yuji during the Mahito fight was shown to be comparable to Nanami and Yuji got stronger after that. He later is still compared to Nanami by Mr. Nanami fanboy and Yuji at this point in Shibuya hasn't gained any buffs since his fight with Eso.
So it just means Nanami is a Yuji level fighter without the poison resistance and Nobara to keep Keichizu off him.
It’s sad how weaker Nanami gets compared to other characters throughout the series. Meimei could arguably beat Nanami.

Choso should win medium to high difficulty (more probable on mid). Nanami’s best chance is being underestimated and ending the fight quickly with a black flash, ratio, but that will be improbable to pull off. Most the time it’s likely going to be a battle of attrition which favors choso bc of the poison. Nanami likely gets scratched and takes a minor wound and slowly weakens as the fight goes on to which choso either kills him or leaves him for dead. Rip my favorite sensi

I think one thing you should’ve talked about is durability, as that is where Nanami somewhat excels and Choso lags behind. Yuji is definitely strong but 3 hits and he’s sweating is not a good look for our boy. Does this mean Nanami wins? Probably not but it makes things much closer
It doesnt make things closer because nanami wont even reach choso, 1 scratch its over. Nanami isnt as strong as yuji getting hit 3 times and get alot of damaged by yuji isnt a bad feat yuji is just a monster. Nanami whos slower than yuji wont do much tbh.
Before watching this, I’m going to say it’s easily Choso’s win. This is such a bad matchup for our favourite salary man

It's not that we downplay Nanami, we're just struggling to find him a fair match that doesn't instantly rip him to shreds. Mahito, Choso, Jogo, Dagon, Hanami etc already stomp him with ease. I'm not a manga guy so I can't really think of any strong people Nanami could even barely match.
But black flash isnt an ability its a phenomenon- it cant be used on demand and even so nanami held the highest record prior to yuji
If choso consistently beats nanami that puts him at special grade, if we assume nanami is at peak grade 1. Since up until special, it's assumed any grade 1 sorcerer can 100% of the time kill any grade 1 curse.
Nanami is not peak grade 1, there are multiple characters stronger. Choso in curse spirit ranking is equivalent to a special grade curse(but weaker than the disaster curses), but in sorcerer ranking he’s equivalent to a grade 1 sorcerer

@@BvLee mei mei, todo, kusakabe (don’t let the cowardice fool you), naobito the zenin clan head, which Dagon confirmed it too by using 70% of his domain attacks on him and only 30% on nanami. By end of shibuya arc yuji becomes stronger, and then there’s some other characters that haven’t been shown yet in the anime. But by s2, there’s 5 characters that are stronger, 6 if you count choso since he’s half human. Nanami is more so a great example of a model grade 1, as in someone who respects the rules, does his missions, and is a realistic target to be as strong as since he’s not too strong but not too weak

@@BvLee special grades are anomalies, think of them as being able to 1v1 any of the disaster curses easily because they’re just that much powerful. You’ve seen gojo, sukuna (even tho those two are highkey above special grade), yuta, fake geto, yuki, and even tho he was never considered a sorcerer so had no ranking, toji would’ve been classified as one
