Elliot Verzele it sucks I know😥 but she’s put a lot of her career into this and sometimes people want to move on to other things, like what Andrew Lincoln did. That doesn’t mean it’s the end of these characters in this universe tho. They set this up beautifully for Michonne to meet rick in the movies! Not ideal for either actors to leave but considering it wasn’t a writers choice they have worked it in to the show wonderfully! As a massive walking dead fan I couldn’t be happier with how the show is going, Rick has always been my favourite aswel so I didn’t think I would be saying that after his departure haha
@*unknown-user* Actually none of those things would be possible without her saving Andrea because she wouldn't have met anyone connected with the story had she allowed Andrea to die. So making that the 'founding' premise of her hallucination doesn't really work.
@@KCohere33 My comment is very clear, without having saved Andrea none of the things that happened to Michonne would have happened and with a domino effect some of what happened to Rick's group might also not have happened. It's only because she knew Andrea that any of it happened to her. Each part of her hallucinations should have been based on the decisions she made that lead her to each individual place of guilt. Had she OBJECTED when Morgan did about the Satellite operation (or spoken to Rick in private about it at the Hilltop) he may have altered course. She actually could have had direct influenced over that, for example. The decision not to save Andrea would have NIXED ALL OF THAT so it probably should have been shown LAST.
Ms. Byrd Well, it wasn’t that clear and I read it a few times. If you’re saying this dream sequence was about her feeling guilty, I didn’t see it that way. I saw it the way she did, how one different decision could have made her losing her family one by one and that started with her best friend Andrea.
Remember Maggie's eulogy of Glenn when she said Glenn saving Rick was the moment that changed everything and defined who they became as a group (the good guys who helped others). Andrea was Michonne's Glenn. The moment that changed everything and defined who she became. Her trip showed us who she would've been had she not saved Andrea. And she came full circle again at the end, choosing to help those two once more (and slaying her pets like she did to save Andrea). A full beautiful circle. 😭
Words can’t express how much I adore Danai Gurira as a person. Portraying my favorite character on this show, it’s so sad to see her go. But I love her even off the show. And you stay safe as well, Katie❤️❤️
I need to see what Daryl's reaction is going to be when Judith tells him that Michonne is leaving to go and find Rick, because at the start of the season Daryl was still out in the wilderness looking for Rick or Rick's body.
@@yourmum2839 We would never have known if we were actually following Michonne's story because being apart of Rick's group is the only reason she met Negan in Virginia in the first place. Without that relationship there was no reason for her to leave Georgia and travel to Virginia.
there are probably other reasons for that but also judith wasnt shown in the flashbacks, because she wouldnt have survived if michonne hadnt bring the baby food to the prison. Also the whole prison arc would be different, because wasnt it michonne who told rick that merle had taken glenn and maggie?
Somebody must of knew what Judith looked like when carving the image of her and Michonne on the cell phone. Last time Rick saw Judith, she was a baby. Somebody must of drew it and showed it to Rick. 🤔
Found out 20 minutes ago that I lost my job. I have a disabled husband, puppy and 3 bunnies to take care of. On the plus side, this was a phenomenal episode.
Clicked so fast!!! Saving Andrea set off so much more than Michonne was thinking! It was cool to see the what could have been, but I’m soooo glad she made the right choice!
Awe Katie you are so precious. I ugly cried as soon as I saw Rick. And god bless michonne when she saw Rick's boots and picked them up to smell him... Danai is exquisite.
I love that Judith is actually showing the fact that she still wants to meet her dad, and still is only a young girl that has to grow up fast in a cruel world...
the music in this episode is outstanding. Love how they brought back Rick’s tune when he fell in the water when the bridge exploded. Loved the end music also. Outstanding episode in general
Hi Katie, great to see you, your videos are so welcome in this tough time, glad you are well, this episode was superb, how good was Danai and Caley, Michonne is going to be missed so much, it leaves things open though, she's going to find Rick, can't wait to see how that plays out, look forward to your chat about this too, STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY KATIE
I was apprehensive about this episode, afraid of whether or not it would be one that showed Michonne's value to TWD. I was impressed. The style was different, sort of like "Scars." I liked seeing the 'what-if' scenes and the satisfying conclusion: she didn't simply leave her children, baby girl asked, "is he alive?" and told her mother to hunt for him.
The Judith and Michonne scene touched my heart a little bit too much🤣. It was amazing this episode. And who would have known that King Bach would have been in twd and was acting seriously.
I have a feeling Rick suffered some kind of memory loss in the bridge explosion. Why else would he have not gone back to his group? To Michonne? To Judith?
I could barely contain my joy seeing those boots!!! ^w^ Such a gratifying exit for Michonne, leaving the way she came, but with a greater purpose!! So sad to see her leave, and that she won't see Alpha's head on a pike, but she's going to find her man!!
I’m gonna miss Michonne but I’m glad she’s doing this for Rick because he needs all the help he can get, also hope you’re doing well with everything that’s going on regarding this coronavirus ❤️
For those wondering about the huge group in the end scene they are called The One.They were not in the comic but written in for Michonne's departure and possible return either in upcoming season in the Commonwealth arc,or the Rick movies.
Her path took a different turn after she saved Andrea. She’s tripping but she’s also realizing helping those people might just lead her back to Rick again like Andrea led her to Rick the first time. Every path we’re on is result of a choice we did or didn’t make but sometimes it’s hard to see that when it’s happening.

8:50 fun fact they made that part from season 2 episode 7 the second saddest moments in the walking dead rick pointed the gun at Sophia but they added trees in the background to make it look like it was a different setting
Was a great episode, Danai KILLED it. And that last shot of the huge moving community/group/thing plus the music was beautiful. I'm really really, HARD REALLY curious about what the hell is Rick doing, how much time passed since he died? 8 years? And this is the first time that the group have some kind of proof that he's MAYBE alive somewhere (not to mention that both Negan and Gabriel saw the helicopter, they never talk about that with anyone?). Also, the draw on the phone is a grown up Judith, did he just imagine how she would look? He got a picture? He's watching? RICK WHAT U DOING MY DUDE. Great video as always! And of course, with everything that's happening, be safe Katie ♥
That was pretty much what could have happened if she didn’t save Andrea, she wouldn’t have met the group and she could’ve been the enemy, she could’ve been negan. She could’ve done those horrible things. She made a choice by saving Andrea and it changed everything for her. She once said that Andrea brought her back and the group brought her back.
"I fucking hate this! You should be kissing! You should be making out and rolling around in the dirt together, not like this!" Protect this lass at all costs!
12:45 Brachiosaurus. People have said that the one seen during the volcano eruption (the scene you mentioned) is the same one seen in the first Jurassic Park movie when they pull up in the jeep.
Michonne's vision can only be based on her own perspective. She can basically only imagine variations on the things she's already experienced. I kept thinking there's no way she'd join up with Negan that way. The only reason she's in Virginia is because of Rick and the gang. If she didn't save Andrea, she'd still be in Georgia. But...it's her hallucination. They say when you dream you can't make up faces, all the faces are from people you've seen before, even if you don't recognize them. So, Michonne's vision is of her remembering pivotal moments from the other perspective. I like how thay make us nostalgic by bringing back characters we lost. Makes you remember why you fell in love with the show.
Michonne was poisoned with Jimson weed, which you can use the leaves to make a tea from, or you can eat a few seeds from it. It's real name is Datura Stramonium, and it's classified more as a poison, than it is a drug. People rarely remember the hallucinations, though some do, or remember partially. It's not something people normally do more than once, because what you do remember is very unpleasant, to say the least. A lot of the people that take it end up in the hospital or jail, if they don't have a sitter.
What a great send-off! A dollar says Michonne will turn up in the Rick movies, and no, I don't think he'll have found another woman, you have nothing to worry about...") We're battening down the hatches over here, finally. Things will get worse before they get better, always darkest before the dawn, but eventually they'll stagger back to some semblance of normalcy. Meanwhile, there's always TWD and its cousins, and lovely people such as yourself to enjoy it with! Stay safe!
Amazing episode! I don't think this is the last we'll see if Michonne. Great reactions as always Katie and it was a brontosaurus...that part kills me every time 😭
Remember when Rick let that hitchhiker die on the side of the road in Season 3. That's whers they got the orange backpack, they still have it today. Michonne imagined herself being that guy if she never saved Andrea.l
Wouldn't have happened. Meryl following Michonne is the only reason the Governor knew about that group so they would not have been on the road to pass her or anyone else.
Did anyone notice that the draining of Michonne and Judith that Rick drew Judith in the present. Rick hasn’t seen Judith in awhile so how does he how Judith looks like now?
This whole episode had me all kinds of fucked up, especially Michone's crazy ass trip. I have NEVER ONCE wondered what it would have been like if Michone never joined the group, NEVER been curious. She just belonged in the group and with Rick, end of story. This crazy shit took me off guard and I loved it. 😂
A world without tea, you'd rather die? But it was the tea that was the hallucinogen. (the island's "secret") Something always troubled me about the etched image of Michonne and Judith on the old phone... Though Cailey Flemming appeared for the first time as Judith in the last episode Andrew Lincoln appeared as Rick (excluding flashback/hallucination) she appeared after the time jump forward at the end of the episode, while he was last seen before the time jump forward a few minutes earlier in the episode. So, the man must've had a little bit of precognition in him to have etched that.
The sound of horses in the last scene made me think of Virginia's group from Fear (I'm sure it's not them but similar, if not just the low-tech branch of CRM)
Your reactions to The Walking Dead NEVER DISAPPOINT, and I love the RAW GENUINE EMOTION you give to these Episodes of TWD, and THAT'S WHY I always watch YOUR REACTION VIDS 1st before watching anyone else's. I LOVE YOU Katie
I believe that the drawings of Rick and Judith were done by Anne/Jadis cus she could draw. She probably drew them for Rick but some sort of incident happened on that boat which cause rick and jadis to flee hence why he left the phone and his boots
Huge props to Danai Gurira. She did an awesome job, and will definitely be missed on the show as Michonne.
Agreed.

The sound of horses in the last scene made me think of Virginia's group from Fear (I'm sure it's not them but similar, if not just the low-tech branch of CRM)
to the queen of all TWD fans, Kate you've given us another great reaction
I cried of relief when she saw Rick's boots and the iphone
Your reactions to The Walking Dead NEVER DISAPPOINT, and I love the RAW GENUINE EMOTION you give to these Episodes of TWD, and THAT'S WHY I always watch YOUR REACTION VIDS 1st before watching anyone else's. I LOVE YOU Katie
I loved this episode.
Greetings once again from Uruguay!
2:54 legit made me die of laughter, i was not expecting that
I believe that the drawings of Rick and Judith were done by Anne/Jadis cus she could draw. She probably drew them for Rick but some sort of incident happened on that boat which cause rick and jadis to flee hence why he left the phone and his boots
