It feels disrespectful to have someone who is either disinterested or extremely unwell, tell this story. Watching her and listening to her is jarring.
King's Hawaiian must have forgotten to pay for the airplane ticket or something. How disrespectful of Forbes.
Same thought watching this
Came here for this
she is wasted jaja
@@dabda8510 Independent vloggers beat state run --- I mean mainstream --- media, any day.
I wouldn't put this girl on video again
Ha she must of partied last night
maybe she was sick
Even if she is sick. Just stay home. I hate it when my coworkers come in when they are sick like a dog.
@@kl3nd4thuwho said she got an option?
She’s probably doing the job of 10 ppl
Her face says it all: 'I traded my sleep to bring you this $2 billion story 😴
It makes so much sense. I always ate this bread because it reminds me of the bread I ate at home. 😍
Good for her, "I'll sleep when I'm dead" mentality is rare these daze.
@@kamuelalee and for good reason. Animals, including humans, need sufficient sleep to perform optimally. As seen in the video, a lack of sleep greatly reduces the quality of performance. She deserves good rest instead of making a wearisome video for a company that doesn't care if she's dead as much as they care about their own pockets being filled.
@@UnevenCircle Yes, It's a tough old world we live.
If I wanted to have an unwell person read to me in a monotone voice, I’d visit my Grandma in the home
I thought inwas the only one who saw that.... like she was on drugs or something
Bro. What adderal addicted hostage did they get to film this? She looks like she was in the trap house and fresh off narcan and very obviously reading instead of looking at the camera.
My first thought upon seeing the presenter was “Did she ran out of sick days?” Is there more to how she presented herself in this video? Are we overlooking something?
and they had reading cue cards, very poorly made video
I think she's high!
This reporter looks exhausted
sloth energy
I have BIG HAPPY ENERGY HAVE ME DO THE NEXT ONE
Pause 2:31
@@Alliekatsdad Lmao. She looked like she dreaded saying that.
If you mean "exhausted", as high as f*ck, i will agree with you LoL
man, she needs to take her sick days. Shame on you forbes for forcing her to get this non-urgent video posted
Was this lady held at gunpoint while reading this?
there's 2 story here.. the bread story and her story
😂😂😂
Lmaooo 😂😂
Cool story but you gotta switch up the host. Jarring to cut back to her.
Where did this reporter party at the night before ? 😂🤦♂️
At the bakery...😎
Everyone’s talking about the reporter but nobody is giving the bread enough praise. If you’ve tried it you know its AMAZING. but it’s packed with sugar and calories
All good things are never good for you. Lol But oh so worth it.
MOST ALL American food has sugar in it. Welcome to America! When you go down a grocery isle, say the middle. You will notice every product has sugar and calories. to think they don't, you are just dumb. No offense though. Go watch the movie Fed Up. It's free on youtube here. Just go look it up in the search & watch it. You will be shocked
@@Drucio1Good old poison killin' me slowly! 😂
Bread is money that's why ppl are watching this video.
We've all tried it and know what the deal is. We're wondering why she's so fucked up?
Time to take a nap girl
Maybe forbes should've waited until everybody was ready?! 😬😒🙄
I read on the company website the owner used to eat portuguese sweet bread from the neighbors and he worked hard to emulate the same taste, but added more ingredients so that it stayed fresher and softer longer. It really does remind me of the Portuguese sweet bread I ate growing up, he did a great job
You made the connection. Hawaii has a large Portuguese immigrant community from the old days and lots of their food has been adopted to become Hawaii local food.
malasadas, egg tarts, sweet bread, linguica and other foods are all regularly eaten in Hawaii. I myself ate a couple dozen malasadas this month and a few linguica sausages.
As the saying goes you don't have to reinvent the wheel just make slight improvements and that is what he did.
In fact we used to have a brand of sweet bread loaf but Tiara’s version is softer (the wonders of chemistry) and has loads more sugar than the other brands. It is great. My family knew the Tiara’s when they moved to Ca saying, Hawaii was too anti business for them to grow the way they wanted to. We were sad to see them leave. They also owned the best diner ever.
Do we really need to see her face for this story. Geeezzz 😂
looks like the host went for a smoke before recording.
Why would Forbes do this to King’s Hawaiian by letting this person do the story? 😢
Get well soon, Chloe Sorvino.
Omg fam. I couldnt wait to get to the end of this piece because of the voice.
This isn't just some random narrator. Shes a SENIOR writer for Forbes. They should have given her a break or something instead of rushing this out.
Surly Forbes, a multi-billion dollar company, could have gotten a slightly more enthusiastic reporter...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
Blink twice if you need help, Chloe.
😂
😂😂😂
I actually prefer this type of commentary it’s much more natural and easy to follow
Except, her scratchy voice and low energy delivery make it difficult to understand
Hard to watch her in pain.
You can tell she is reading a script. Nothing natural there.
Its “natural” what misrable lifestyle do have that this is natural
I remember going to the King St location and selling fundraiser tickets that you could redeem for either their sweetbread or orange chiffon cake. When I give directions and give landmarks, I still refer to it as the old King’s Bakery location
The only bread I eat rawdog, straight out the packaging. It's actually the only way I eat these rolls lol
Lmao
She looks totally stoned. She is falling asleep while reading a teleprompter. What the heck happened to Forbes? There is no way something like this would get published. I am going to share this video with everyone I know. It's so weird!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Best rolls for sure
Yeah one of yes
So proud to be from Hawaii cheeehoooo Alohaaaaaa🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
This was such a great business to cover but your host may really not have been happy to do this... and i'm sure she's good at what she does to be working at Forbes and maybe this is an exception to her story reporting...We DO enjoy your narration videos too just in case
I hope she wasn’t forced to make this video, this is insane. Sometimes she’s too weak to talk and open her eyes, sometimes she moves a lot and makes a snarky smile. What is going on?!
I sure hope this Lady who is speaking in this video is ok. She does not look well.
She looks like she could use a trip to Hawaii
i wonder who thought it was a good idea to put her on camera with this energy.
She looks high af
😂😂😂
please forbes read the comments, dont put her on video again.
Origins of this style bread is Portugal… Portuguese sweet bread were made in the large format boule and torn to be shared at dinners with family and friends.
Yup. Hawaii adopted lots of Portuguese things from the large immigrant population. Ukuleles and Malasadas are some examples.
Wow first comment… please take some rest. You look tired 🎩
That narration could have been better.
Is the reporter okay? 😢
I hope she was able to rest at some point and that she wasn’t forced to meet a deadline in order to post this
I just wanted to know why. No, one told us you were supposed to bake the sweet rolls before you eat them 😂😂😂
To the reporter we are 420 friendly if they let u go fam
How much weed did this reporter smoke?
Yes.
Great story but terrible/not flattering lighting job on the reporter
I grew up in Torrance and you can smell fresh bread on the freeway. They have restaurants and bakeries too. Their cakes are amazing! I have a Hawaiian roll recipe on my channel inspired by King Hawaiian’s
The Kings Hawaiian family reading the comments about the reporter 😅😅😅😂😂😂❤
Too bad they could not build factory in Hawaii .would have been steady work for many. Too bad would cost too much to ship out of hawaii.
I remember the bread was sold on pie pans in Hawaii in the 80s.
It's her report. Let her present it.
Kings Hawaiian with just some ham or salami with cheese is a go to snack for me.
So ono!…
She is reading it
At this point, Forbes should have just used AI-generated voiceover instead of this reporter.
As soon as I saw the reporter I went straight to the comments and I was not disappointed. Sucks that she taking more spotlight than the delicious King’s Hawaiian Rolls
This video would have been 10 times better using a generic AI voice over.
Give her grace. She's probably going through something.
Used to work a block away from them. Everyday as I drove by, I smell the delicious freshly baked bread aroma...only thing that kept me on that commute xD
They used to give these rolls out at Tom Thumb supermarket for free if you buy a whole fried chicken. At first I thought these rolls couldn't taste good because the packaging looked cheap and the supermarket was giving it out for free. But to my surprise it is actually good.
She looks baked 😄
😂😂😂
These are theeeeeee best bread. They are literally bread CRack and I’m an addicted.
The reporter sounds and looks exhausted
i dont want to see this host/reporter ever again! 🤬😡

Damn that girl giving the story is stoned AF. 😂😂
0:23 DAMN somebody get that woman a bowl of soup, NyQuil and a bed stat!!!!
They’re so good
No energy, no enthusiasm, drooping, as if she was being forced to do this story and just reading through it to get it over with. Sucks if she reads the comments but hey taken it as a way to better yourself..
How stoned is this lady rn???😅
Friendly suggestion, cut. to the narrator when she isn't reading the screen and just memorize the sentence :)
Our family eats the Kings Hawaiian in Torrance and frequent Local Place in Gardena. They have a great Oxtail Soup and Chicken Katsu Curry
Chloe looks unwell.
Come on Forbes. Give this lady a break
It’s impossible to focus on anything but how unpresentable and low-energy the host is.
Gurl, looks like you could use some good sleep. You look tired.
She looks strong out
Growing up in Hawaii, I grew up eating their delicious bread. And I was fortunate enough back in 2015 to have toured their Flowery Branch Factory in Georgia and meet the Tairas. It was a very amazing and informational tour, and the smell of their bread baking while walking on the tour was heavenly. The Taira family is very generous and filled with the Aloha spirit and I wish them much success expanding their business on a global scale. But I do wish Forbes would've used a more enthusiastic host for this video, it was just painful watching and listening to her.
Hes very lucky his parents helped him.
Chick was high as a kite. Almost made this video unwatchable
My family LOVES King's Hawaiian rolls! Like it says in the video, we primarily buy them for special occasions, like parties and holidays. I think they are best as a treat, since they are not very healthy in regular usage.
Lmao at the comments.....yeah must've partied last night with a loaf of bread.
Is the announcer on drugs! How shameful a selection to represent the company!
The reporter looks high asf
Im addicted to the sliced Hawaiian bread. They only carry a loaf or 2 at Walmart so i gotta grab em both when i can. They have tons of the other types like the rolls.
I make the best grilled cheese sandwiches with them. Sometimes frenchtoast. Mmmmmmm mmmmmmmmm!😊
Rolls may sell better but the loaf tastes better!
somebody needs to watch this "Never be greedy!"
Someone give this lady a King Hawaiian Bread ASAP
Islanders are yelling out "holly"
Sleep it off, Chloe.
Are you okay chloe?
Damn Chloe stoned!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Im more interested in her story. Damn
This lady looks sick
Poor ting :/ i was reading the comments thinking is it that bad and yeah she looks and sounds tired AF.
Thinking to make Hawaiian Rolls
Its got to be the most addictive bread on the planet and its literally needs nothing on it to be good but butter maximizes the experience!
I thought it was just me. I can’t stand to hear this monotone delivery. I wanted to hear about these rolls as I eat them. She literally just looked like she rolled out of bed from a hangover . I’m surprised this is from Forbes
The best buns in the world! I love these so much and I especially love using them for little cheese burger sliders!
Don’t need da hungover haole girl telling this story reading cue cards lmao
Amazing story!
My mom used to buy kings Hawaiian
omg why her face look super lazy?????? Shame on you forbes!!!
Hawaiian rolls are the best Jesus!! I love this company still taste the best!!
Poor thing she needs rest and sleep.
