We picked up our Highland 60 on Sunday and promply drove it back to Kansas City. Fits in a standard garage (we had the awnings mounted flush to the top). Got a Zero Breeze A/C rough in and put our own in. Amazing rig!
Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your mini camper video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
5 Inch Wireless Backup Camera Kit with Digital Signal, Waterproof Rear View Camera with 5″ TFT-LCD Monitor, Ideal for Sedans, Pickup Truck, SUV, Minivans (BOSCAM K7) a.co/d/cUa151q
Any tips between the littler smuggler and this one? Both look amazing and you can customize it looks like. ps bring it to Arizona to test against the desert ;)
The Smuggler is all about taking gear along for the ride, sleeping up top in the RTT. The Highland has a heated sleeping cabin inside, so really just about finding the right solution for you.
Another DFW resident reporting in, here. I'm picking up my new Highland 60 in Silverton on August 29,2023. Have photos of it, completed, and am very happy with the results. Kass and team are doing seriously accurate and professional workmanship. Worth every penny spent.
I'm glad this exists. It's almost perfect. One thing makes this just kinda silly. THE COST! Just once I want to see a properly set up overland trailer that wasn't priced like this one is. Even at 1/2 the cost it's unattainable by so many people. Looks like I should get on that.
Funniest thing about videos on trailers at this cost are the comments. 😂 If I were into camping, I’d give this one serious consideration. I think something people forget when it comes to cost is these are relatively low volume production. That’s not much to spread design, engineering and production costs across.
We looked at every one of those companies multiple times. They all make great campers. The storage features and overall accessibility of the highland 60 won out in the end.
Pricing in this industry continues to change rapidly, therefore we point you to the manufacturer for the latest pricing specs. Link is in the video description
We use air lift springs in the Jeep for best towing performance and when inflated YES we can access the back door fully. It just BARELY rubs the bottom of the spare
I used to ask that question too until I met a guy who was into collecting Rolex watches. Just a blue collar supervisor who didn’t flinch at purchasing a $20,000 watch which wasn’t even smart watch. I met another guy who loved old muscle cars. He spent over $100k and countless weekends building a show winning muscle car. Not my thing but he loved it. $100,000??? I know another guy who is into guns. He spend $20k on a full auto machine gun. The ammo to feed it probably costs $5k a year lol. I even know a guy who bought a $30k can am maverick SXS then bought a $30k toy hauler to go camping with the SXS. That’s $60k in toys. My sister in law spends $20k a year going to Europe just to stay in hotels in another country. People spend money on the craziest things.
@@mixflip funny how everything you mentioned is collectable, increases in value, or is irreplaceable. This is a camp trailer. It will never go up in value, just down. It's a consumable. "Brains" is all someone needs!
@@michaelgray4601 I’m sorry but $60,000 in a Polaris RZR and a toy hauler absolutely does not go up in value. I’m not justifying the cost of these trailers. My entire point was…. Don’t underestimate what is valuable to a person. I think a Rolex is an absolute waste of $20,000 regardless how any expert explains it to me. A Rolex can’t shelter me in a rainstorm on a 7000 foot alpine lakeside. To some people being able to drive up to a secluded lake or mountain meadow where no one else with a traditional RV can go…. That is money well spent. Again I wouldn’t buy it personally because I have other dreams and goals but I totally get why elk hunters buy over built truck campers that can withstand daily earthquakes from bouncing on 20 miles of washboard roads along the Canadian border. You are born, you get one chance at life and then you find yourself on a your deathbed. Did you live the life you wanted? Or will you regret saving paper money in a bank just so some ungrateful family member can use that money to actually go out and enjoy their own life. Perspective - a $50k pool in Vegas is money well spent regardless if it doesn’t bring value to the house. $50k on a pool in Seattle Washington? It isn’t a selling point and it probably won’t even get used much compared to Vegas.
@@ROMRreviews I'd mount a pack of little chocolate donuts there instead. They'll be just as effective on a fire, but a lot more useful when you get the munchies.

Sick trailer. Do a quick video on that back up camera set-up! That looked sweet!

Would love to check it out when you're back! Lemme guess... It's RED and has the first AC install they've done???
@@ROMRreviews Yep. Will stay in contact here to plan a meet up.
Absolutely. We've been exploring possible AC retrofit... Also, another DFW client just ordered a red trailer.
Sending you an offline email. Thanks.@@ROMRreviews

Looks like I should get on that.
small batch low-cost is a tough nut to crack
It IS expensive. But when you've priced out similar rigs, it is competetive. I think this design is so well thought out, it's "worth" the cost.
This is for rich people.
Define "rich".@@harrymills2770
How did the Jeep do pulling it? Were you tanked up with water or dry?

Wait till they see the price of a hamburger these days
Like it a lot. But it's probably at least $50,000. And there is a lot of campers out there just don't have that money...
At least!
What is the overall height including the rooftop tent? Does it fit in a 8ft garage?
No it won't fit in an 8ft garage opening with a RTT up top. We have a 10 ft door and only clear by about 6 inches
Cool trailer, but tough established competition at that price point: TetonX, Expedition 2.0, Mission Summit or Patriot x3.

You guys in G'vine?
Indeed

Either way, let's connect in G'vine soon and you can take a look. Love showing it off.

So many
can you fully open the jeep rear door while hooked up?

Looks like condensation issues.
Thanks for commenting!
Camera work needs a LOT of the improvement...
