"On business for Ben, Hoss takes the stagecoach to Denver. He joins two nuns in the same coach. Bandits attack the stage, which overturns, killing the driver and leaving the passengers at the mercy of the bandits. They rob Hoss and the nuns, who must trek their way on foot to the next way station. There they are surprised to find one of the robbers, badly wounded. Hoss finds that both of the nuns show a special kind of strength with the robber in their power." Written by Charles Delacroix on IMDb.com
Reviews:
"Great episode. Best I've seen. Judith Carne gives an amazing performance as novice nun. Dan Blocker was quite an actor. He had little trouble carrying an episode without other Cartwrights.Hoss would have made a good Catholic. Episode looks at challenges of obedience and putting others ahead of yourself. Wonderful look at Christian life." Written by nlathy-839-300677 on IMDb.com

No bet,leo...hopefully you have educated on Dan Blocker...this role (hoss) he was BORN for and will ALWAYS be known for
Learned great morals as a kid watching this. Still using these lessons 50 years later.
What lesson was that?
i hope you're joking
Only folks that don't know and are not learning now do not yet have them.
20 year old kid from Canada still watching this show, my child hood right here! Thank you for uploading during these tough times.
Yeah when good men do nothing Evil prevails
Wake up to Alpha males
Same here from Canada only 64 year old gal watching. Used to watch this with my family on Sunday night.
Me too : greeting from Toluca Mexico.

62 yr old kid here! Now if I cd find reruns of Mutual of Omaha's wild kingdom the circle will be complete.
This kid loves Hoss too.
That young lady, and her story will remain in my memory. For some time to come.
I fell in love with Judy Carne when this episode first aired. I am still in love with her! That was Oct 27, 1963, one month before my 12th birthday. BTW, I couldn't stand her always disapproving companion nun!
Very Touching Episode Of Bonanza
Truly, speaking both as a Catholic and as a true Bonanza fan, this was one of the most moving of all episodes. Also it presented Dan Blocker's wisest and most discerning self; he made Hoss truly loving, protective of good, and a little wiser, perhaps, about the inscrutable ways of the Lord.
What's releguios got to do with cowboy show 🤨
These are different faith releguions & god
Made me tear up. Ms. Carne's performance was truly heartfelt.
Eighty two and this is still my favourit western series, for me hoss is the Star of the show
What about Buck?
My father loved to watch this show ,he felt it was some good in the people who was actors in this show, today lm 68 yrs old and it was a great show, lessons of many kinds are learned thru the years.
Yes she’s right food, family, big place to breathe it’s like heaven for many.
She did not die ! My goodness the Irish accent and her sweetness - Bonanza was really special 🤗
Judy Carne Always looked good in a Nun's habit. Always one of my favorites. She's best remembered for her Laugh In days. I'm going back to sleep now until the nurse brings my medication.😊❤❤
Hoss had a wonderful soul. His kindness, compassion and ability to forgive, are qualities we should all strive for.
Loved Judy Carne. Wonderful entertainer. The actress who played the Mother was absolutely beautiful. Love Bonanza. Thanks for posting
She was wonderful. Tear jerker...
pretty sure she was Burt Reynolds first wife
@@Peter-yk8tw yeah Judy Carne who played the young nun was Burt's first wife. She made quite a few tv appearances in the 60s.
@@Peter-yk8tw Yep, and the " Sock it to me" lady on Laugh In.
I love these shows, I've been watching since I was a kid. I'm 63 and still love them.
I tell you this show is fantastic sometimes it really shows you the best of people and the worst of people as in real life today! Everyone should watch at least a few episodes of Bonanza as a kid and an adult😉👍
The younger nun shows more wisdom than the older nun.the thief whom they helped proved he is still a thief by his actions.thank you for sharing us this beautiful movie.God Bless you all.
This Was A Great Episode Of Bonanza I'm Enjoying it This Far
This is why we loved Hoss. A great episode Thanks
I so appreciate your uploads of this incredible series. Like many Americans, I grew up with Bonanza and these great episodes are clear evidence as to why this TV show was on the air for 14 seasons.
Absolutely! The plots, acting are really top notch most of the time. As u said it's clear why it lasted as long as it did. It's just good tv
Very sad, but lovely 👍👌😘🥰😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
47 yrs old watching bonzana grew up on this show with my family love it thanks for posting
Thats awesome! I bet it brings back great memories! 🤠👌🎬🍿
Just good acting, cinematography, scripts and musical scores. Sad we don't have that today.
Watched bonanza every Sunday night growing up
Me too, greetings from Australia.
Have you ever seen a bonanza episode less than good?
back in the olden days, at least for a while, sunday night was the wonderful World of Disney , Bonanza and then Have Gun will Travel.I was suppose to be in bed after Bonanza but would sneak around and watch Have gun will Travel from afar while my dad watched it.
Love that one! Wish Palladin was here too, as this site is preferable mist ofthe time to Netflix, Prime, and others. At least you don't lose 20 minutes hunting for something.
@@belbal5004 I think it is, search it, that was the only TV show that started as aTV and then they made a radio show with it also, I listen to a lot of radio on youtube, old radio, Gunsmoke is good, with William Conrad as mat dillion once you get over that, he is good really, Jimmy Sterwart played the Six Shooter another Radio western, very good, all on youtube
24:40 "first of all, my name is just plain _Hoss_ " LOL
My mom had us watching this in the 80s and 90’s. I still love this show!
Loved Bonanza Seasons 3-6 Of The Adam Years Were The Best As Well As 7-13 Which Is My Favorite Also
I am willing to bet dollars to doughnuts, Hoss's Goodness was off stage just as it was on stage.
I read a bit about him..they said he was a gentleman and stubborn..lol
He was a Beast in the NFL. Glad he made a living in TV after.
@@jameswhite1320 Blocker never played in the NFL. You may mean Merlin Olsen, who was in Little House and Father Murphy.
He was well-liked by the cast and crew. He , Landon, Lorine Green were friends and business partners. He was the cast member with the most education and was a teacher before the acting career and was working on his Master's degree while on Bonanza. Lorine Green said he knew Bonanza was over when they lost Dan.
Growing up I heard he was very nice, if a bit shy, and loved pulling pranks on set with Landon
I actually teared up at this one. Thanks so much for uploading.
Me too.
This was intense, choices on top of decisions mixed with dreams, and the irony of the nemesis interfering with our choices, decisions and dreams, all these actors are inside each of us. Really good acting, scripting and the musical scores that seduce us into the story line of our imagination. We don't get this form of art in this 21 century, unfortunately. Thank goodness for this channel and the Bonanza crew.
I love reading the comments as well as watching the shows; they give me a feel of what some people still desire-love, family, sharing, resting, helping and most of all to see GOD in others and ourselves. Thanks for posting this show and your comments-most of them anyway.
What's the point with film if they didn't? History documented!
I love watching Bonanza mostly when Adam was still a part of the show.
So emotional. Thank you. Hoss the tender heart of gold.
I have always loved to watch bonanza always hoss
I absolutely agree that Hoss was the same person off camera as he was on camera. He was an awesome actor and his caring and kindness was a bright light in the world.
Another good western well played you all
" Your world suffered a greater loss than ours". Yikes!! Is that really an order a nun would want to belong to??? Thanks for another great oldie, Grjngo.
Still love that theme tune. Loved and love the series too. Like the chap below I grew up with Bonanza too - away over on the other side of the world in New Zealand.
How perfert, i’m watching this on St. Patrick’s Day!
Not sure about others veiwing Bonanza, but this Aussie guy prefers the show when Pernell Roberts was one of the 3 brothers in the show. Because of his New Englandneess he added a bit of panashe 2 each episode. Speaking of New England, its also an area north west of Sydney Australia (Armidale ) where my mother comes from. Guess l have some panashe genes in me as well 😀😁😃😅 thx 4 all agreeing....
I thought he spain

Hello fellow Aussie 😊
As long as little Joe is there I’m happy
Agreed
I love all of them and I'll miss Adam but as long as we have hoss I'm happy 😊
I love bonanza n CANNOT LIE N GIVE IT 10000 THOMS UP
What are Thins? Is that an auto correct mistake or new slang?
Bonanza was a good show, why it lasted so long. I especially liked the humorous ones. Hoss was my favourite. Love that Judy Carne was in this. She was talented, could sing dance and act.
Thay done a fine Job on screen writing these episodes
This was an unusually well-written episode. It was riveting.
Thanks for posting
Thanks for uploading
Very beautiful

Thank u 4 bonanza love it.
You are so welcome
I love the way people die in these old Westerns. No pain, just tiredness then sleep forever. 😂
Do we need to see all the violence?! In todays world it is all to real!
Hoss was so lovable.
Have loved Bonanza since the first episode aired. But women around The Cartwrights don’t have much of a long, or happy future to look forward to.
Thanks for this!!! never seen this one. :)
A story with great depth and very well performed.
Good ol' Hoss:)
Adam.. My favorite Cartwright Son.
Beautiful episode,
Annie Oakley is also a great classic show: ruclips.net/video/TipnKbK_ffs/видео.html
The ranch is peaceful Hoss??? Hahaha 🤣😂
A magnificent but moving episode!
Thanks for watching! We also recommend this movie: ruclips.net/video/OkuTuuSq2UU/видео.html
We often see Joe and Hoss together in an episode but seldom Joe and Adam.
Great episode--Man, talk about breaking one's spirit (aka bullying). The senior bully-sister; scheech...
77777
Yup. And where was her faith in G-d to accept what happened when she found out she'd been robbed. Then strongly criticizing her young nun apprentice for trying to save the robbers from searching her for the money. Which they would have gotten in a disrespectful manner.
Always a good lesson from these episodes. We need to look ourselves for how to be better before tearing someone else down.
One of the best episodes
That's Judy Carne of Laugh-in fame.
Forgiveness and lack of forgiveness = a tug of war = hope and no hope
27:11 I think Hoss littered when he crumpled the paper and tossed it. LOL
Sad episode. She was so sweet.
The best shows ever I saw
Thx for watching! You might like this show as well: ruclips.net/video/OQlhIEOleOc/видео.html
The young nun was the “sock it to me” girl on laugh in.
10:59 yellow spokes on wheels, so cheerful
She was verbally abused.
Poor little gal.
ty
Poor Hoss.
I misse Horss, Joe, Ben, Adam and many God things was done along the way even something called the Real Mc Coy, Sugarfoot, Palaton, Rowhide, many old shows and just to watch them now has brought back many things, that taught us lessons.
Horsay
Judy Carne died in 2015 aged 76. She played the young nun.
She was married to Bury Reynolds
Judy Carne / Mary Kathleen was married to Burt Reynolds for three years. Also laugh-in sock it to me girl.
That “inside the stagecoach scene” at 2.09 cracked me up.
Mother Veronica was right, the bandit he was lying.
Toby drives those horses pretty hard for such a long journey.
40:39 Hoss is just too nice, & kind
.
Okay. Well, I guess I was kinda wrong about that. I kept saying that the Mother Superior was too mean, or cruel. But I guess she was right at least, that the bad guy (robber) really was lying etc
Enjoyed very much 👌 👍 😊
Thank you brother 🙏
Classic example of those who DON'T practice what they preach. Where's that mother superiors Forgiveness?
😡😡😡😡
Will never understand how pecking on s.o., humiliating and abusing a person should make her/him a better personn or were something God wanted us to do. My Mum spent time in a nuns' school as a child and had a dose of that kind of thinking. They left her with pulmonia to "teach her not to ly" - unfortunately she was one of the sort that do not develop high temperature so no one beliefed. Ages after on an x-ray a doc found the scars on her lungs. She could have died as a child due to that cruel idea of forming a person to "God's will".
Well if one is forcing they are not of God. It's a choice.
Beautiful episode! When the religious order was written correctly. Nowdays Hollyweird make it seem like a punishment to be sent to a convent which is sooo wrong. :)
Many tales in dat story wit many stories to tell..Hav Faith Ýa''ll 😇😇
26:06 Hoss -- gears of his mind start turning?! Ha
Otro episodio maravilloso, casi perfecto
It is so great to have these classic TV episodes to watch. There isn't a show on network TV worth a damn today. All destroyed by woke-ness, revisionist history, depraved social issues and a focus on being amoral.
I cannot help myself thinking that the young nun was really stupid to tell the thieves about the existence of money .
Even a nun was not spared from the cartwright love curse
In CZ we have a saying: "in return for goodness, there is poverty," and this episode illustrates that well. They helped a man who rob them and killed a man, only to rob them again, and kill a woman. On the other hand, had they not helped him, they might have never recovered the money. Maybe we should start saying "in return for goodness, there is poverty; but in return for evil, there is DEATH."
Yes I'm 53 and I've been watching these altos thank you very much downloading and just wondering if you could download little house on the praieres
Leila maria 👍👍💯💯💯💯
Good episode 👍
12:11 Wheel completely disintegrates. 12:15 Wheel is magically fixed. :) (Of course, it would be difficult to film the rollover with a broken wheel, but still funny. Of course, I was waiting for a tragedy that would need the nurses and Hoss would be the likely victim.
These actors make it look so easy and you try it and fall into a hole.
Hoss getting hot under the collar because of the young sister having to tidy up herself, he who has Hop Sing at his beck and call
Superior Mother had a wedding ring
Nuns take vows to make Christ their husband and wear a wedding band.
Stagecoach stopping in the middle of nowhere just for the Cartwrights. 😆
Of course.
Around 1:05 they were palpably disappointed when the nuns emerged from the stagecoach, I think
Surprised!
But at least they had enough decency to treat them with respect.
Maria Von Trapp goes west.
