    Looking forward to the full ranking! Btw, fun fact, "Silent Night Deadly Night" was released about the same time as the original NoES and was actually outperforming it before being pulled from theaters.

    I like how you said, "They're a little problematic, maybe not back then," because I feel like we lose sight of the social progress that's been made in the last 20 years, let alone the 40.
    I think the first Nightmare on Elm Street was ruined for me because I saw Dream Warriors first, so all of the tension from the original was kinda gone. That being said, I agree it's a stone-cold classic. They were clearly doing a lot of new stuff and put a ton of effort into it.

    Small correction. This movie actually made 25 million dollars at the worldwide box office.
