I have a story for you! I was at Thanksgiving dinner yesterday and I saw a huge ashtray at my aunt's. It's from my grandpa's office from decades ago and she keeps candy in it. I've seen it a thousand times before, but after watching your videos for years, I decided to look on the bottom. Italy. I said, "This is a Bitossi. It's Italian pottery and it's worth a lot of money." I was correct, we looked it up and it's worth over $1000! She's keeping and not selling but I was so proud of myself!
I enjoy watching all of your videos. I’m in my 60s and love when Jesse makes throwback references to my earlier days. Paul Harvey anyone?? Younger people are so much fun to watch😊.
Blast it, you guys! You're making me miss Tom Selleck in Blue Bloods! I loved that dressing table with the sliding compartments-was kinda hoping you'd get it! Found a small Etruscan horse a few weeks ago. Laura, still waiting to teach you piano and how to weave! Thanks, guys!
You can clean vases this way….fill with warm water, drop in two or three denture cleaning tablets, let set overnight. Also you can refresh a toilet by dropping in a few tablets and let set for awhile.
Hi there Laura & Jesse! Just a note: those “baby martini” glasses were from the 50s & 60s! Cocktail glasses got bigger until we see the sizes they are today! The one you held up was in perfect shape & probably from the home of someone who passed away! Liqueur glasses are also very, very small! Just Google barware from the 1950s & 1960s to compare! Thanks for sharing your wonderful thrifting trips with us & happy hunting! 🥰💕
You should do a whole episode showing us pics of things you have not yet identified, in case any of your viewers can help. And then maybe once a year, do a new video on the same subject, for any new finds still need to be identified.
There's a place in Lincoln City in the Taft district where you can watch them make blown glass anytime they're open and making it, you can even make your own with an appointment. It's Lincoln City Glass Center, it's across from Schuckers Oyster Bar. In case you didn't already know.
WOW! My daughter lives in Lincoln City and years ago the only glass blowing shop that was available was in Newport, OR! Did they move or is this a new shop? Can’t wait to go up there & visit family & the L.C. Glass Shop! 😍❤️
@@christinalemon3098 I don't know how long they have been there, I drive through there all the time to go to Florence and I only noticed them a few weeks ago because there's usually a bunch of people watching from the sidewalk. They have a website you should check out.
Right when I saw the thumbnail for this video…I knew Laura was a very happy girl ❤❤❤❤such a fabulous piece! Hope you and Jesse had a wonderful thanksgiving!
I have learned to appreciate pottery, brass and wood from your videos and the passion that you have for these items. I've watched many, many of your videos and have learned a great deal from you. So glad to see Jesse with you and to know you share this excitement together.
Since I am allergic to all metals to wear but sterling silver, I always love when you show what you have found in the cases. I never have that kind of luck here. See you both next week!!
The Condors Lamp is a masterpiece. I have never forgotten that lamp since you first ran into it. What a great design to have burned into a Cutting Board or who knows what?
Laura and Jesse, I love your videos. I have fallen in love with Oregon from watching your road trip videos. Thank you for sharing your home state with us. I want to visit Oregon and of course, stop by your wonderfull Goodwills! I've always loved the brass, "dragon scale" lamp. Did you ever find any information about it? I also love the painting of the woman holding the smiling kitten. It makes me smile every time I see it.
LOVE that art piece, I would have left with that for sure! Those brass vases are fantastic! I am drawn to items made in Japan from the 60s & 70s…it’s so weird to me how I am literally just drawn to things and 95% of the time they were made in Japan… I’m also really into teak wood items, trays, bowls, spoons, cutting boards… ❤
Hi Laura and Jesse you two are so much fun to watch. I really like the lamp I think it was my favorite. I bet it drives you crazy when you can't find out anything about something you buy. See you next time
This was a great episode. I usually wait until the end of my day to watch your videos. I call it my dessert but today I watched it as soon as I saw it pop up. It was like earring dessert first. And this episode was delicious!
Hello again from Brisbane. It might be worth trying Google Translate on the bottom of the brass vase although it probably won't work if the writing is ancient Chinese.
10:28 hey I’ve got one of those Etruscan ducks - I love it. Bought it thrift shopping.😊 11:37 I think the term might be poker work? That’s what I know it is.
Jesse is too much with his comments.."it got decatipated" 😅 That watermelon being carted away by ants was fun...ha! BARNEY AND FRED in their taxi-dermy
Fantastic finds and updates! Now that my business is established, I'm looking for items of higher value and more handcrafted focus. There was a knife or such that you were checking with a museum about donating. Did you ever connect with them and do that?

Jesse is the best addition to your videos
I enjoy watching all of your videos. I’m in my 60s and love when Jesse makes throwback references to my earlier days. Paul Harvey anyone?? Younger people are so much fun to watch😊.
"Good dAY!"
Listened with my mom every day! “Good day!”
I love it too when Jesse says something Laura has no clue about. I'm like, are you kidding? 😮
I am still laughing at their cute exchange at the end of the video! The Flintstones and then Paul Harvey! Lol. 🤣🤣🤣
I have just discovered your videos i am enjoying them so much
I feel happier for watching this. Such a lovely couple 💕
Thank you for joining us! ❤️

Silver Spoons and Mr. Rogers both had a street light in their sets in the 1980s!
Love the flower picture and the Chinese vases. Love your videos.

Thanks for the tip Heloise
I use uncooked rice and vinager and shake to clean lime deposit inside.
I always carry denture tablets when I go away for cleaning

Or cordial glass
I think the decanter is marvelous. The large Italian vase looks similar to one my parents had in the mid 1970's.💛💛💛
You have no idea how excited I get when your video gets uploaded. 😂😂😂
Me too! Hahaha
Me also!
Me too!
The taxi story was hilarious!

The white and yellow vase makes me think of lemon meringue pie! Thanks for another picking! Happy Holidays!

Oh, Laura, the angel earrings are the coolest thing ever!
The wooden bread plates would make stunning plate chargers.
My thoughts exactly
My dad listened to Paul Harvey all the time 😂 I'm 62 and also enjoy these video's!!
YAY Jesse, THE ONE AND ONLY PAUL HARVEY👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻The rest of the story⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love Tabra! I always buy her jewelry when I see it as it has my aesthetic and they sell well! People are not aware of her designs, either.
Right when I saw the thumbnail for this video…I knew Laura was a very happy girl ❤❤❤❤such a fabulous piece! Hope you and Jesse had a wonderful thanksgiving!
I love brass everything ❤❤❤❤❤

I LOVE that painting! I wish I lived in your area because I would make sure to be first in line at the pop up event so I could snatch it up!
That vase!!❤❤❤❤
The bread boards are stunning! Owls for sure. Love when Jesse comes-he is really funny! Pls keep us updated on the ugly $25 head
Actually, those are typically coyotes, not wolves.
You two are so sweet to each other!
It makes me smile and hope for a pure love.
Thank you! I hope it finds you!! ❤️❤️❤️ We waited until almost 30 before we found each other. Worth the wait!!
LOVE that art piece, I would have left with that for sure!

i look forward to your weekly videos. you both are a delight and very knowledgeable! love u guys!
Great hat Jessie!
Wood burning art is called poker work in UK. I think people used a hot poker to do it.
I have the Pitcher and 6 martini glasses with the star pattern.
de-catputated....LOLOL
The look on Jesse’s face when you didn’t know who Paul Harvey was. Lol
You're such a unique person.I love your videos.I love what you find and it's just amazing. And I believe they can be either owls or a cat
Love watching u both, thanx for sharing
Great timing. Thank you
This is off subject I know, but your skin looks so pretty and creamy in this video. You're doing something right.
I don’t know who the maker of the vase is, but I definitely think that it’s considered an inside out vase
That was a convertible high chair that turns into a little car like scooter
Wow how interesting
So glad to get the notification. I have my iced tea at the ready.
Paul Harvey “Now you know the rest of the story….”.
I feel like you should start recording the Jesse sayings. "Life According to Jesse" or "Jesse Saying," would be a great book.
Hello again from Brisbane. It might be worth trying Google Translate on the bottom of the brass vase although it probably won't work if the writing is ancient Chinese.
I tried to no avail 😩
Take photo of bottom of brass vase than hit translate
I tried but it didn’t work for me on Google translate
Love watching you guys I try to pick out what you’re going to pick up when you scan the shelves sometimes I get it right lol
Awesome video. Soooo entertaining!
I wish you would go live and show us the differences between metals and pottery and polishing wood pieces and stuff... Love y'all's videos
