I’m going to subscribe to your channel bc you are very articulate and easily understood. Informative as well. Everything you said I’ve gone through. My females make me sick to be around when in heat. They roll over and over while laying down 🤡 call and cry 😭 ugh. I do a lot of cleaning and searching for peeeeee 😩 places ie: I always look at a plastic bin in the light reflectivly, sure enough there it is. So I needed this video thanx.
Hi thanks for your information I’m in Canada I would like to be more serious about breading cats. Where are you located? Are you from the states or Canada?
Thank you so much for this video! Can you also clarify how many days on average per month a female cat is in heat & acting with problematic behavior such as spraying, loud noises, fighting with other girls etc? Do they do this the entire heat cycle or only some days out of the heat cycle? And also, do female cats go into heat as soon as they are done nursing kittens? Thank you!
Depends 😀 every cat is different. Some call once a month a few days and some scream for a week, take a breath and start again. Some pee and fight all the time. Some when they are calling and some when they are pregnant. You just don’t know till it starts. That is why it’s good to be prepared. If you are a new breeder feel free to message me on my Facebook page facebook.com/catbreedingbeginners?mibextid=LQQJ4d especially if you are interested in my New Cat Breeders Club.
@@CatBreedingforBeginners thank you so much! I would like to breed but am trying to make sure I learn everything beforehand to be prepared. Thank you so much for your knowledge on this topic
Hi Pamela love your videos. Please can you tell me as a new breeder does one buy 2 girls first then a stud? Or should you buy a breeding pair first? I'm wondering if I buy two girls will they call before I have a stud or before my stud is ready? What will i do if I can't find a stud service?
This question comes up a lot in my New Cat Breeders Club and I have a module on it in my Stud Cats Mini Course. My preference is two girls and an outside mating. But whatever you can get to get you started will work.if you want to find out more about the club you can message my Facebook page 😀😀😀
It depends on the cat. In nature a cat will have a litter, call and get pregnant again. They are similar to rabbits and mice. They reproduce quickly and in bulk to ensure they pass on their dna before predators or sickness gets them. But now we are in control and we manage their fertility. Sometimes a good break is needed and sometimes a back to back mating is best. As a general rule three pregnancies in two years but there are always exceptions 😀
@@CatBreedingforBeginnersVery informative indeed.Don’t female cats risk pyometra if not mated during the breaks ? Do breeders use sterilised male cats to service the females when they are in heat ?
You’ve taken it to another level!
I love it. 😻
Wow, thank you!
Thank you the information was really interesting I appreciate your trouble and for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! I hope it helps a few breeders with managing their breeding. 😀
