the unofficial reason why chaotix replaced sonic and tails is that sega generally tends to use his friends to experiment while keeping mainline sonic games fairly consistent so if something ends up a flop, it doesn't effect the overall franchise too much
Okay, I've heard about all of these at some point or another, but NEVER have seen Astropede in action. That's so cool; not just because of its relation to Sonic, but it looks like such a classic Sega mascot _in general_ - you could put him against Ristar, Tempo or Pulseman in addition to Sonic and he'd fit right in! Man, someone should make that game _today_ - like Blaze for the Amiga, Freedom Planet or Spark the Electric Jester, we could use more indie Sonic-likes any time. Just discovered this channel because I was looking up footage of Sonic Mars/32X, and definitely am subbing! And checking out your videos on Superman and Naruto next! Great work
Some fans remade Sonic extreme and Sonic Mars for 32x in unity and yeah they're not very good. They're better than Sonic 3D blast in my opinion but that's not a high bar to be honest. It's still nice to experience and I'm glad that fans made these remakes though. Hopefully more of these games will get fan made remakes in the future as well!
