- South Africans are feeling hopeless and angry. That’s the reaction to the 32.9% unemployment rate announced by Statistics SA on Tuesday. The Quarterly Labour Force Survey indicates that the number of unemployed South Africans increased from 7.8-million to 7.9-million for the first three months of this year. eNCA reporter Moloko Moloto has the story. They might be only counting the "unemployed" based on economics which is people not in paid jobs but are actively looking for work. Those that are not looking for work is not counted when talking about economics.

The unemployment rate can never go down if one takes into account the population growth and lack of support for the private sector and farmers who arwe the biggest employers. The Gove should be small, encourage investment, cut out the BEE etc crap and you will see things ease off and start to work. Every time the Government increases min wages, people cut back on employment ...........got any better solutions please share before we go the Zimbabwe route all out with 80% unemployment and 80% literracy rate. Offer they people life skills. If kids are finished with school offer them life skills. We have lots of teachers who needs jobs. We can do it. The I.T sector is to big of a challenge for getting a job, we need more people with life skills. Lots of small towns can't offer jobs
