- Finally achieving that milestone I've been interested in for a while now. It feels good to have the world record in this mode again.
Interesting little game here. I didn't end with many points on stage 4 (I usually average 8.5M) or stage 8 (average around 56M). Stage 11 went pretty well but nothing special... I got bad gate RNG on stage 16 which made my initial purple reflects low/nonexistent. The 5 gate-chain I got after collecting a couple hundred more gems made a real difference though.
It really came down to the high geom collection towards the end which tipped me over.
A much higher score using the same strategy is definitely possible. I think I'll keep going and post something actually impressive :)
S++++ tier gameplay/score, dude. Congrats!!!!👏
Awesome! This mode seems like you could play it methodically but you just go for the most ridiculous extreme plays, like on 14 and 16. Congrats!!
Amazing, congrats man!
Those purple shapes that split apart ALWAYS get me.
same xD so hard to shoot those small spinning ones too
4:34 - 4:38 ... Unreal man
wow, this is some very strategic playing xD
Crazy!!!!
Is the bomb on 4 simply a flex?
Maxing out the 5x gate bounce time rather? 4,11,16
Nick Baker Exactly. This was done intentionally to maximize time for gate reflect kills.
Usually I end stage 4 at over 8M, my highest ever being 9.4M, iirc. That upper echelon for this stage is only achieved if the following occurs;
(1) The first gate spawns at an angle conducive to reflecting the arrow wall,
(2) the explosion from the gate needs to destroy all blue/green enemies leaving the purples intact,
(3) all purples and their spinners must be reflected whilst collecting geoms,
(4) go through the gate to end the stage
If you’ve played GW2 before, you would know that each of the 6 modes has a general principle to it; deadline is crowd control management and risk taking, pacifism is a game of spatial awareness etc. Sequence, interestingly enough, has more to do with reflecting/binary detonations (filling and destroying a gravity well with another) than it does time management, shooting skill or spatial awareness. All of the major make/break moments for sequence runs occur on stages where these mechanics are present. Stage 1 and 4 are preliminaries and don’t count for much.
This mode is very difficult to play well.
You’re not an achiever of a billion, yet? Bro... what have you been doing? Sitting on your hands or worse, playing Pretty Pink Princess Vol. 3 Limited Sparkles Edition?
Lol, kidding! Great control regardless of what you believe could be improved.
