What's funny about this is they reference 98.9 KJFK in Austin, Texas. I was the Operations Director for 98.9 KJFK. I got Alex started in the radio business (don't get mad at me). Alex was just some yahoo doing a late-night cable show. I needed new talent and brought him on about built him up. Howard Stern was our morning show at that time. So at one time Howard Stern & Alex Jones were on the same radio station. I had Alex fired because he would not listen anymore and our main sponsors were pulling. He was all over the Koresh story wayyyy more than anyone was covering. Talk radio works just like music....you play the hits. But Alex just was a hard head. My favorite was when Alex was quote in the Austin Chronicle. He said the reason he was fired was that the government called our owner and told him to have Alex fired. Also, our GM (who was an Ex-marine) didn't like Alex talking bad about the govt. In reality, I was the one that said fire Alex. Don't recall getting a call from the President or anything. I loved Alex in truth. He made for great radio. Anyway.....Go Alex Puppet!!!
