There are no uniforms and no detention. We aren’t in fact really unique, that is just wishful thinking. Too cooperate and connect with people we need to have some sameness and common set of references, which is why we learn the same things.
"every kid learns how to do their taxes..." truer words have never been spoken. Business etiquette, financial stability and success, physical skills and respect - should all be mandatory.
Yes. My daughter has ditched mainstream ed and is finishing HS via a platform that allows her to choose her own path. She’s regained her love of reading & is now learning learn economics & financial management... (We’re still working on respect 🙄)
I calculatted the cost of a school excursion from qld to canberra once and they could have actually hired the whole plane.... but they went by coach!!!
I would make my husband volunteer to be a parent on the queensland to Canberra school trip and the teachers loved him as he was a gp and he gave all the teachers mogadons cleaned up the kid vomit. I made him go as both my sons were very ADHD and was worried they would get left in some bus stop or at Questacon .
Honestly, the main thing I got from school is my undying hatred of team sports, all of them, I don't discriminate, they were just cruel, I was the square peg in the round hole of the edugation system, art & history classes was where I hid, glad to see these videos, it is always a reason to smile.
For me it was the opposite but I was still a square peg in a round hole, although I adored art - I really loved team sports, debate and anything outdoors and found being stuck in a classroom all day torture. I don’t think the school system suits anyone 😕
@@alyssaoconnor Don't get me wrong, I understand why we do team sports, I was actually really good at swimming, but when you're always picked last for any team sport, usually involving a ball, & then become the main target, you get the hint fast, I still swim though. @@bjw4859 No hun I totally get it, just you commenting on your experience 😊. Schools could be a really awesome place if we moved away from one size fits all a bit. Jimmy is the best, he was definitely apart of my covid survival tool box.
Sure are, in most cases, they get more funding, As a whole, Christianity is one of the biggest business in the world, migh be wrong but as far as I know, they still pay no taxes.. I can see how, with their slush fund into the millions, they still receive government funding. No wonder the government system schools are so run down. IMO anyway.
My high school was the only government school in an area full of expensive private and Catholic schools. My maths teacher said it was "an oasis of public education in a desert of privilege". Brilliant.
@@RUclipsTookMyNickname.WhyNot probably depends on the area of Australia you’re living in. A lot of Melbourne suburbs have catholic private schools. Other parts of Australia im not too sure about.
Far too many Catholic private schools, where’s the Secular private schools? Or the Satanic private schools? Hell, a even a Masonic one would be a nice change.
The other day my 11 year old son came home from school and I asked him what he learnt today and his reply was “Nothing, I learnt more at home yesterday.” The day before I taught him how to use the washing machine and I think he’d felt he learnt more because it was something new, but it did give me a laugh.
Schools. Where even the creative arts teachers tell you exactly what to paint and in what colour. Be creative! By drawing this yellow duck exactly like I just did.
Jimmy I love your videos so much I've watched you - giggle and hoot - since I can remember and you're so funny, never stop posting! I'm so glad I'm this early so you might see this 🤩❤ Also... Jason... Jason.. *JASON*
That is my favourite "Guy who decides" video ever, next to the easter video. We really missed you very much Jimmy. Haven't watched Taskmaster yet, but I will try and get into it. Keep up the good work.
Nailed it!!! I love Jason and the guy who decides. My favourite. Also love Brighton girls. You are such a funny guy Jimmy. I'm also looking forward to new videos from you. 😍
A trip to the sewage system so all the kids can look at brown sludge all day, sit behind the teacher on the bus and have to whisper while you gossip because most of the gossip is about the teacher in front of you because you thought she hated you because you didn’t raise your hand and she chose you anyway and then go home and tell your parents “Mum, we looked at a bunch of pipes today and I forgot everything else”
I've got a suggestion: The guy who decided Canada's one use plastic rules: "So we should stop selling plastic straws?" "No Jason! Only sell the ones with the bendy bits in them!" "uhh, ok. So we should sell them by the individual?" "NO! Only sell them in packs, of 20! Ha!"
I attended a private school for 3 years, grade 4-7. 10k a year, we did year 4 time table sheets in year 6 and spent more time walking in circles wearing colorful robes then actually learning😂.
1:50. Some schools offer holiday programs so full time parents can still work, but those educators spend time with the kids, feel tired and are expected to work with only the weekends (and public holidays) to recover and then launch back into work for the next term.

Let them be little independent individuals but they must all learn the same curriculum, wear the same uniform arrive and depart at the same time…😂
My school is constantly saying they want us to be unique yet they get angry at you if you don't do their robotic handwriting
I laughed so hard at this line! The reality couldn't be further from the philosophy. . . . . . .
You are unique - just like everyone else!
And if they step out of line give them detention 🙄🤦♀️. Sounds about right

the problem is, schools expect parents to teach their kids that shit... oh how wrong they are XD
But, if they didn't go to school they'd learn that taxes are voluntary.
