I always liked Mrs. Kasha Davis, and to hear this part of her story makes me appreciate her even more. I'm 7 months alcohol free also, and when she said "There's always time for a club soda!" I lost it! If you haven't tried bottled Topo Chico you haven't lived! Thank you for all you do Mrs. Davis, you're an inspiration in many many ways! :)
This was such an insightful and deep interview as well as being entertaining. I never knew about all these issues that Kasha was dealing with and it's awesome that she's over that and can talk openly about it. You go Kasha! My only issue: Way Too Short! I could listen to Kasha for so much longer (and most of the other queens too)
Kasha is so fiercely intelligent and such a wonderful person to listen to, she deserves serious congrats on the sobriety - the strength of her character is endearing
Thank you for giving me Loooiiife with that "Coming to America" reference! If my father were forcing me to marry someone I never met, I'd surely want him to be introduced by the smooth, soulful stylings of Lady Red Couture...
This was one of the best episodes I have ever seen. So heart-felt and deep. Mrs. Kasha Davies is a treasure and so fascinating and I'm glad that she stayed sober and is thrieving. She was my fav from season 7 next to Katya. And I'm glad that Jonny dialed it back for this. This needed some calmness.
Mrs. Kasha Davis! I loved and still love you so much ever since you entered the doors of Drag Race. You are so brave for opening up about your life. You go guuuuurl
I have so much respect Kasha. I grew up as the child of an alcoholic, and I have a lot of respect for people who have the strength to get help for themselves
Three of my favourite people in the Drag world - James St James, Mrs Kasha Davies and Katya. They've all had extensive experience with addiction, as have I, and I see so much excitement, joy and frankly fascinating life history in all of them. I really appreciate their individual openness about who they actually are, the issues they've had and how they've learned to handle what life has thrown at them. I'd give my back teeth to hang out with any of them!
I just love a seasoned person. They actually have stuff to talk about. Not just make up and how pretty they look. And i'm amused by gays of the 70's and down. I mean they had so much to struggle with, and it's wonderful to see that they now can express themselves. MKD, you are wonderful. Kudos on the sobering up. Love you.
I came here to hear her story with Alcoholism. Iv'e been struggling with Alcohol for 5 years and am nearly 6 weeks without it. I would have been over 3 months but I had a slip. It's nice to be able to relate to someone who has the same issues.
Davey Duzit you've got this. Be strong for yourself. If you ever need someone to vent to without judgment please reach out. Just remember your own inner strength.
Davey Duzit the offer always stands. I know how much it can help to have a person totally unrelated to anything going on to vent to. It doesn't always look like it but everyone in the community is here for everyone else when the chips are down.
It is inspiring to see when for a moment, a dragqueen even full on dressed up and obviously in a character drops it and talks about her stuggles with alcoholism. My hopes she stays sober.
There's always time for fruit cocktail! Mrs. Kasha Davis, I want to thank you for sharing your story. You deserve all of your success, and I wish you so much more.
Kasha is so inspirational... Alcoholism is scary...Bless her!! Stay Sober Mrs. Kasha Davis!!!!!! p.s. Gays who have been around longer have the MOST interesting stores ;) Growing up in small coalmining towns...marrying their straight H.S. sweethearts...staying in the marriage for decades...Pretending to be straight with a witty sweet or flamboyant personality...Having your spouse brush it off as simply your European style...haha. It's incredible and awful...but fun to imagine... in a completely morbid way!
I've just rewatched this episode, and I really *like* Mrs Kasha Davis! I don't think she has a fake bone in her body - so personable, so honest, so funny. And by playing older, she pokes fun at all sorts of modern craziness. This 1950s kept woman and (not always) classy high society housewife is a timeless character indeed. I've seen clips of the real person behind MKD, and he's a charming guy, too - no wonder he's still friends with his ex-wife! I would take him (ahem, as a roomie, of course) in a New York minute. ;-)
Also they refer to Dynasty and Alexis Carrington-Colby/(Joan Collins)... If you're looking for a great self-help book...or just some inspiration on how to get your sh*t together...look no further than ANY of Joan Collins' books that she's written in the last couple decades...they are literally BOOT CAMP. They are serious self-help books that WHIP you into shape, lifestyle-wise and super inspirational. Not to mention the awesome 1980's photos of Joan...esp. the one in her fave Dior suit...and some of Joan and her sister Jackie which they did for Vogue cover which are *awesome* :). Joan is married to a much younger man and has kept up her energy of a 19 y/o for decades! VERY INTERESTING LADY. With a lot to teach the young cub :)
MRS Davis, i am completely enamored by you. You are one of my most favorite queens I'm always looking for new things that you have done for me to watch
Finally a wonderful chat in season 4 -- the first 2 interviews with sharon and the black sailor were sooooo boring. Heklina and Kasha were worth listening to. Real queens! Love Jonny as he really knows how to interview and keep the show moving and it does work well with lady red. Good combo. Keep it raw! KASHA - great show and thanks for being real, guuuuurl. The young lap dance boy, Nathan is on his way to some gynecomastia problems in the years to come. Earlier developer. Easy to fix with surgery. LOOOOOOOVE hey qween even though I have never done drag. Bring on more PORN MODELS -- Jonny is sooo funny with them!
I just have to say that Jonny McGovern did a wonderful job as an interviewer on this episode. Everyone is always giving him shit because of how he can be loud and interrupts a lot (which honestly is so true) but this episode he was great! He listened, let MKD speak, but was still a very involved host and had great things to say. He has really grown, good for you Jonny!
Mrs Kasha Davis was fucking robbed on Season 7 ! She should have stayed longer and Kandy Ho should have been eliminated instead of MKD. And that is a FACT and NOT an opinion.

+Noah Hughes You are the best and I appreciate your words. MUAH darling.
Good for you! Hope you are still fighting the good fight!
Sour Eggz Thank you! Fourteen months now and hardly think about it at all. :)
Noah Hughes Good for you Noah, you should be proud! Keep it up!
Sour Eggz That's very sweet of you, thank you :)
Everybody says that Trixie vs Pearl was the biggest error Mama Ru did on the show, and for me was Mrs. Kasha vs Kandy Ho. I love ha.
let me tell you she hiked up the dress by the slit n those beautiful eyes sparkling i said, this bitch came to play!
Love how real she is in this interview about her drinking, I wish her all the best.
This was such an insightful and deep interview as well as being entertaining. I never knew about all these issues that Kasha was dealing with and it's awesome that she's over that and can talk openly about it. You go Kasha!

Mrs Kasha Davis always seems so intelligent and fun :) I'm glad for her being sober for 7 months!
Kasha is so damn charming. Good for her on her sobriety ^_^
Mrs. Kasha Davis was seriously screwed in her season. But then again, S7 was all about eliminating the wrong queens. Love me some MKD!
Such a class act! Seriously, I admire her so much!
Thank you for giving me Loooiiife with that "Coming to America" reference! If my father were forcing me to marry someone I never met, I'd surely want him to be introduced by the smooth, soulful stylings of Lady Red Couture...
Her new tagline should be "There's always time for a Mock-Tail"
+BriyGilgeous There's always time for a COCK tail....
What a wonderful, open, and honest interview. You're great Mrs. Kasha Davis, good for you! 💜💜💜

My love for Kasha Davis grows more and more every time I see her.
I have so much respect Kasha. I grew up as the child of an alcoholic, and I have a lot of respect for people who have the strength to get help for themselves
everytime she looks at the camera i die.

Thanks Alex. Very sweet of you. Im doing ok at the moment. Still sober, so thats a plus :)

I love when queens get deep and insightful...😊
