- Limerick legend Ciarán Carey joined the Throw-In’s regular trio of John Mullane, Eddie Brennan and Michael Verney to preview this weekend’s All-Ireland semi-finals.
The team break down whether Limerick can come back at Cork following the Rebels' thrilling victory over the Treaty men in the provincial series. There’s a belief that Limerick would have gone over that clash with a fine comb - after all, they ‘have a score to settle’ according to Ciarán.
Meanwhile, John Mullane gives his reaction to the news that Davy Fitzgerald has stepped down as Waterford boss.
Elsewhere, the pressure is on Clare to realise their potential and knock off a Kilkenny side who yearn for All-Ireland success.

Limerick man here. Cork were entitled to celebrate their victory in Pairc Ui Caoimhe; they won fair and square, playing really good hurling (not pulling and dragging and wrestling like someother teams). In fact, even as a Limerick man, I was impressed with the sight of Cork supporters celebrating their team's win. It was a great sight. Good on them. Hopefully, we can reverse the result this weekend. If they can beat us again playing good hurling, I'll accept that. And they'll be entitled to celebrate, vigorously. Problem for the GAA is a lot of counties, including 'traditional' counties are not supporting their teams. Maybe they're waiting for them to win All Irelands and then they'll come out to play. John Mullane was a class hurler when he played well Waterford where winning pity he never won a All-Ireland medal. As a Tipperary man i would love too see Waterford win the All-Ireland it would be good for the game.
Great podcast, Verney. Fair play. These are probably the 3 best analysis's in the country. They were 3 fabulously skilled hurlers in their day and are highly intelligent regarding the game of hurling as well as being able to instill a bit of craic into the discussion. Best hurling podcast around at the moment.

you talk about limerick motivation. The last time cork played limerick in croke park we were totally humiliated. Not one cork person has forgotten that. You can be sure the blood and bandages will be ripping the door off the dressing room to put that right on sunday.
I strongly agree with agree with Ciarán comments about corks arrogance.
