Honestly I debated if I should upload this video.. PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE POST to understand where I was coming from. I was invited to a charity tournament that would mix content creators and LCS Pro Players. I was very excited to get to play with and against the literal best players on the server and stream it for my community on Twitch. Unfortunately 2 hours before the tournament my internet upload speed plummets to 0.5% of what it's supposed to be, so I spent the next 2 hours leading up to the tournament on the phone with Comcast customer support which is probably the most frustrating thing in the world. I was extremely sad and mad that I wouldn't even be able to stream the tournament, but at least I could play in it. I knew we would have hard matches, as our ADC player was actually a Platinum Support Swain one-trick named DocRespawn -- very nice guy btw. So I tried to go above and beyond and coached him on Karthus ADC (extremely easy + useful pick) for several hours -- however when it came to game day he ended up picking Swain anyways. I didn't really understand why he let me spend my time coaching him on Karthus if he had no intention of playing it, so my growing frustration is probably visible in the video. It's not really fair to expect him, as a Platinum player, to be able to compete with literal LCS players, but I'm not a perfect person and to be honest it was just not a good day for me. So my bad for being frustrated, and hopefully it didn't come through to my teammates who were all really nice and chill people trying their best. I try to keep a strong mentality as a creator, player, and person but sometimes things just pile up -- which is why tournaments like this promoting mental health is so important. I'm very proud of my stream community raising hundreds of $ for charity even though I wasn't even able to stream it live, and I've left the link this video's description -- please consider donating to a great cause! Anyways I'll be playing again in the tournament and HOPEFULLY my internet lets me stream it. I'm going to be taking it much less seriously and just having fun with the boys, hope to see you there and thanks for reading

As frustrating as that game seemed from a support angle, you did great keeping the positivity and trying to find positives like saying "you're only 10 cs down. You're doing good." Keep up the great content and can't wait to see more!

Honestly, I’m impressed with the Swain for playing with such better players and keeping the mental he did. I play with some friends who are Master+ and I get so frustrated because I’m just completely outclassed. You did a great job trying to play with and coach him up at the same time.
Honestly I get that. I’m a solid silver player and I play with my buddy who’s emerald/plat every season and playing with him can get disheartening. You try your hardest but just can’t do anything all game so it becomes a challenge to just not feed lol. Def feel for the swain
@@goldarch7269 I started playing Kindred adc at one point last year and it quickly became my highest winrate pick lol. No idea why, I think enemy adc just didnt know how to lane vs it.

It was great watching both on a teammates stream and hearing what the team coordinated and on the NRG broadcast where they kept highlighting ioki's great plays
Much love for uploading and that sucks that shit kind of hit the fan before the tournament started. We all have days like this and it's cool that you own it and make a conscious effort to not project onto your teammates. I've been the swain before and trust it never feels good to know you aren't playing as well as your teammates. I can guess that he probably switched to Swain last minute because he was afraid of playing a new champ and dragging the team down, when people are afraid they run towards the familiar even though it's not always best. You played amazingly though, I can never get over your quick thinking and reflexes. Proud of the GSA
I don't normally comment on videos much. For playing against who he was playing, Swain did a very decent job as ADC, though I definitely get why you may have felt a little upset there. I would probably have lost a little mental too. This was definitely worth watching, though, so thank you for uploading. I could tell you were upset, but it didn't seem unreasonably so. Especially after I read your comment. Also you played a crazy good Pyke there. Would love to see your Senna next :)
In the nicest way possible, DocRespawn should not have been there. Might be a great guy. But even for a plat swain one trick he seems to not even know his own champion. I honestly thought he was first time swain player and adc player. Honestly for you to cope as well as you did and not tilt so heavily after dealing with the internet issues and then the frustrations of the game showcase just how professional of a player you are and how clearly you are the GSA (in America😉)

Where as returning players are sent into the low elo hell to be trapped eternally. I’m a diamond player, but one of my accounts literally can not get out of bronze in this new season. Every game I’m playing extremely well but can only do so much with griefers in the game. But when I’m playing in higher Elo. The games are so much easier. And I’m seeing a lot of level 30 Plat accounts that seem like they belong in bots for another 100 games.
I believe he accepted the coaching but then realized he didn't feel confident playing karthus adc in front of all his viewers so he went to his main, not realizing he would get stomped this hard. I laughed when he said "i got ulted by camille, i couldnt even flash out" like bruh that's basic knowledge you should know lol he probably doesn't have to play as safe in his plat games since swain is a bit on the tankier side, but not keeping enough mana for his ult is also very basic knowledge
It was cool to see a more competitive side, sad to see a weird swain adc, but it was an amazing game you popped off many times with double kills, the camille was insane alsooo

It’s like you were the only one taking it 100% serious. Everyone laughing, making jokes, not paying attention to your spot on calls, mental errors etc. Big lane disadvantage 1 min into the game.
Yeah that honestly was the exact problem. And I'm not blaming them either, it is of course a charity tournament. In my experience for the game to feel good you need to be taking it EXACTLY the same level of seriousness as everyone else on the team -- everyone needs to be 4funning or everyone needs to be tryharding. The next day I realized this, I played a lot more for fun (playing Teemo Support, goofing around etc) and I had a much better time. So there is a valuable lesson in there!
Well fingers crossed your platinum supp swain buddy possibly learned something from this game and will maybe find some luck in climbing again after doing so given the situation it all makes sense
Literally the scoreboard at 33:19 shows it all. Everyone but you lost to their opposite pairing on the other side. In CS, score, and usefulness. The only one almost close would be Skarner vs Gwen. Gwen was marginally more ahead. As for the rest: Sej was ahead of Lee, Vik was ahead of Ryze, and Jinx was massively ahead of Swain. You were still ahead of Camille, but it looked like you were struggling hard at that point.
As much as swain was making mistakes, I think it was almost exacerbated by everyone telling him what to do. Nobody did that when other players made huge mistakes. He was kinda singled out from the start I feel and never got a fair chance. I'd find that tilting too and play worse from it
When you are outclassed, you listen to what your teammates tell you to do. That's how you give your team the best chance of winning. You don't pick whatever champ you want, you don't try and make big plays, you listen. I know it's not the most fun way to play league, but we've all been there -- in fact in game 2 when Contractz plays jungle he tells me to do a lot of things -- I don't question it, I don't argue, I just do what he says because he is better than me. I'm not flaming Swain I'm just telling you how mixed skill bracket competition works.
If someone gets tilted from much, much better players trying to coach them through the game that's just an ego problem. You have an opportunity to get tips and pointers from people far above your skill level and if your primary reaction is getting mad about that then that's your fault
People like you are the reason others hit a brick wall when they are trying to climb. It's frustrating trying to get to the brackets you know you're capable of when it is so common to get teammates who don't want to listen when you are clearly giving sound advice or good shot-calling.

I am sorry but picking Swain adc not a good choice as you said and I was getting a little frustrated with him not listening to your positioning instructions with your knowledge of the abilities of your opponents and map awareness.
That's the entirety of this game. Not to mention the missed herald opportunity which would have kept both teams even. At that point, the teams were neck to neck. Opening the mid lane would have helped the team so much
The part that is jarring for me, is Swain complaining they were freezing him, despite him having pushed the wave under tower, which means he doesn't understand wave dynamics/was fucking up the wave himself. As a Plat player he should absolutely know this.
I get your frustration and I hope you get another shot at playing with these folks and overall solid game play. But honestly there are times where you could have capitalized early game and got swain (or you) early kill or two. You seemed annoyed for the reasons you said in your comment and maybe that affected you to see the angles you usually can spot. Good game regardless and yes adc needed to do more but I hope it’s not just “adc gap” but more team’s lack of chemistry!
Swain is good vs teams with base damages, but with crazy max hp true damage monsters like camille and gwen nuh huh, all that hp and healing is for naught, still butter vs them
The camile saying "you need 3 to win" then proceeds to double gank mid with sej was definitely priceless. Not sure if she's serious or not cause I mean, if this is a charity event how you gonna be salty? but idk either way pretty standard soloq stuff.
Your swain did not show up this game man feels bad but it happens Bro would over stay for waves, Had terrible mana management and cd timer management And always showed up late for fights And worst of all he wouldn't mention any of these until after he and his team mates were dead which is why I mean his management of those things were aweful
