I play almost completely opposite philosophy than this guy and my defense is consistently #2 or #3 in the league plus I have 2 rings out of 7 seasons. So there's other ways. Just play sound man to man and stay in front of the quick guards and you'll be fine.

Agree with MftO, 2K need to be a bit more creative instead of making the CPU ridiculously unbeatable. NBA 2K used to be a pick up and play game but now it's all about strategies, you can't enjoy it.

People literally incapable of playing legitimate defense in this game. Find me where any NBA team plays a 1-3-1 zone in any game. CPU defense is for the weak defenders, 1-3-1 is for weak defenders & taking control of your center to 'roam' around the court is the weakest form of defense. im a top50 player on ps3 and you can crack this defense so easily. you just have to make your open jumpers.
