Thus, the CDMO network plays an essential role in bridging the capacity between the drug owner and the patient for the safest, fastest, and most affordable market supply.
Furthermore, in the case that Innovators don’t have their own manufacturing footprint, CDMOs can be used for transferring products from development to commercialization.
For early-phase development, the CDMO can also be the clinical supply arm.
Global acting CDMOs are in an even better position if they have the capability to ramp up market supply immediately with well-experienced resources and equipment in place.
It needs entrepreneurial spirit to decide. The best and most detailed business case will not make the decision. It will prepare the decision.
