- UPDATE: Some version/type of this machine appears to be used in the Agtonomy Tele Farmer 120 setup. Giving some updates on the Bobcat AT2025 and Steiner 460 tractors using the information available to us!
The Bobcat AT2025 and Steiner 460 are new compact articulating and oscillating tractors being developed by Bobcat/Steiner. Steiner was purchased by Bobcat several years ago and all signs point to Bobcat adapting Steiners new 460 model tractor into their AT2025 prototype.

Brad, I am a 100% VENTRAC follower. Nothing else compares to their machines abilities with all of it's optional equipment!
Well I won't try to change your mind but at the very least it is interesting to see a big player like Bobcat invest in the articulating/oscillating tractor space!
@@CopperCreekCuts, I just wish Ventrac would come down on their pricing just a wee bit though.
Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Great video
Thank you!
Happy new year!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Great update! Thanks for sharing. I feel this all benefits Ventrac and further separates them from Steiner.
I'll have to hold back until seeing Bobcat's finished product before final judgement, because Ventrac dealer support network is probably one of their few disadvantages, and Bobcat dealers are almost everywhere, so that may tip the scales a bit.
@@CopperCreekCuts good point!
One thing that jumps out is where did the pto pulley release rod go too?
Thanks for the update! It would seem logical that the hydraulic controls on the new machines will be electronically controlled.
I think they do that with a lot of their bigger machines anyway, right?
@@CopperCreekCuts Yes. Most do, I have been retired for quite a while, but the last excavators and skidders I operated were electronically controlled. Amazing how precise and easy to operate.
Hopefully the Bobcat pricing is more favorable for residential owners, Steiner and Ventrac have priced themselves out of my 7 acres price range…
Were are they going to be built at?
I want to see these articulated tractors compared to the articulated mini loaders
Well just remember that we have Ventrac. Ventrac stemmed from the same company being Steiner. They were both born in the same county. Wayne county Ohio. One of the Steiner boys actually started Ventrac. So I think it’s ok to let Steiner go. It’s been around for a couple hundred years now lol. Does that all make sense?
Doesn’t Toro now own Ventrac?
@@user2144 yeah it does. It’s some kind of co-ownership. Like they work together.
I do believe TORO fully owns Ventrac's parent company. So far TORO seems pretty hands off (much different approach than Bobcat), but then again the Ventrac brand (to me) seemed stronger than Steiner's.
@@CopperCreekCuts I will be the first to admit that I honestly don’t know what the whole deal is with all that. They don’t make it very public.
@@CopperCreekCuts bobcat isn't even control of the bobcat brand. Doosan bought bobcat and Steiner back in 2020. That said, I'm still really looking forward to this machine
Do you think this is going to be direct competion to the Ventrac? I have been looking at the Ventrack for 2 yrs (because of the slopes i have on my 5 acre property) and alsos like their attachments.
Steiner has always been the direct competitor to Ventrac. Steiner tractors aren’t new.
Likely it will be, especially if Bobcat axes the Steiner brand.
to me the the front end of the AT 2025 looks similar to a Steiner so to me it seem like they are at least planning on killing Steiner off
No worries about a DEF system , they don’t use DEF below 75hp .
I hope I mentioned I wasn't a diesel expert! :D So it is just regen systems below 75?
@@CopperCreekCuts Yes DPF and DOC ,and EGR.
@@CopperCreekCuts My Kubota L4060 is regen. 2022 I purchased it.
Yeah that will clearly be under the horsepower that requires def or a catalyst system.
Hi my friend 😊 i am enjoy on watch your channel 🤠 i am from Kuwait 🚜🚜🌿🌿🌿🌿
Thank you for the long distance comment! :)
How are Bob Cat Stand on’s?
I love(d) both my green 36" and white 48" standers. The white 48" was BUTTER smooth to operate.
I would bet Doosan will drop the Kubota Diesel engine for sure and go with something like the sub compacts use the Shibaura engine or even a yanmar maybe . And as for emissions they have been playing with some SCR and EGR systems But as long as they are under 75 horse you wont be subject to the rules. Plus Most consumers wont buy something thats going to have extra cost of emissions let alone understand how it works . which if they are worried about emissions then it makes more sense to offer a gas engine option .
Good feedback, thank you!
what kind of price range ?
As soon as I find out I will update you!
Id like to see a rear pto
I would love that! Maybe if the engine is bigger they will have the HP for it, but I know one issue would be transferring the power back there. It would be very tricky to rig up power transfer from the front half through the joint to the back.
@@CopperCreekCuts my thing with the bobcat and the ventrac is u can only use there stuff im a landscaper here in ireland there nearly 40k here and without the rear pto thats no good to me i can spend a mint on ventrac mowers and other stuff which is no good as its just double of what i already have
Ventrac only one too buy
They dont want any brand confusion.
I understand that!
Definitely not buying any plastic or fiberglass machine to take into a rough cut situation with brush and small trees which is a out the only place I would be using it for . Also not buying any less power than 31-35 hp
Would not have a Bobcat if they gave it to me. First and only Bobcat product I ever owned was the biggest piece of JUNK! I was fortunate enough to pass that JUNK on to be someone else's problem. And yes I did let them know and another dealer also informed the buyer what all of the issues the JUNK had.
I bought a Steiner 450 last year and it spontaneously combusted mowing 18 inch grass at 37 hours. The company would not honor their warranty. Another reason to not buy a Steiner, most companies only stock replacement parts for 7 years. I would not want to be buying all of my parts from scrap yards in ten years.
Was it a white or green mower
@@onebad40willys I don't know what you are referencing. It was the newest Steiner 450 version with 37 hp vanguard engine and I had the brush cutting deck (rough cut) mower on when it burned.
@@onebad40willys white
Just for the record, Bobcat, Medlin may pass, but I WILL have a Bobcat if you give it to me! :D
