Whenever I try to fill path after using the pen tool. It doesn’t allow me. I can only fill in the path section not the layer section. I always enter this problem. Please help me
After you draw the path and close/connect the dots, press "Esc" button and try to fill. Let me know if this works...
I was wondering if photoshop 2021 makes a huge difference? cause the pen tool doesn't flow like yours. It's a bit frustrating

It's called a clipping mask. Hold the ALT button and click between the two layers
