Japan car culture is the perfect meaning of "why not"!? like a designer, i'm used to do things who keep some continuity or relation with previous work, but why not!? u got a love japan!! 17:08 it looks some custom based on Renault 5 front end
Osaka car culture has always been dope as hell. I remember back in like 05-06 when Toshi Hayama (ex Apexi USA president) n founder/host of JDM Insider did their video on Osaka n the cars were great. Osaka, Kobe, Yokohama, all the way to Pheonix Powered up in Fukui all have amazing car culture. My favorite is Yokohama cus of Car Make T&E obviously
Thanks to your video I was able to find out about Osaka Auto Messe & I attended today. I was staying at Maiko west of Kobe. I thank God for you & lining things up today! ❤
seeing that CRX made me miss my old '88 CRX. i was fortunate to have good friends and i had 1 import a twin cam ZC with an Automatic (i prefer auto). i had another who was stationed in Okinawa send me a full 5Zigen Fireball exhaust and i bought a complete HKS turbo kit for the ZC. with the gutted interior, KYB GR2 struts, Eibach lowering springs, strut braces front and rear, 17" thin 5 star wheels and 205/40ZR17 tires it was an awesome street legal go cart.
Sammit that little white suv is a modified Nissan Kix and that Zero 4 door R33 reminds me of your R33.4 i haven't seen that conversion to much besides yours and idk why it looks so good 👍and my fav would also be the 13b GR86 thing is amazing 👌 and great vid as always and so many epic cars and as always keep up the great work 👍
@@skidsoslow I know it's crazy both basically look and are identical and were the only ones that guessed it and got it right and I got crazy Renault 5 turbo or MG metro 6R4 vibes also reminds me of a Group b legend 👍
Great coverage! @11:29 that's either an LS or ZC non-vtec DOHC swap. Valve cover gives it away. @14:40 Instead of just a wood footplate to not slip - also put skateboard grip tape on it. It's easily replaceable and will keep your heels glued in place.
I am proud to be an Indonesian citizen, because Indonesia has opened a booth to showcase domestic products and thank you to the Japanese promoters who have provided a special booth for Indonesian products.
The yellow/green GR and the Integra was my two favorite. Which I I love Integras I own a RSX Type S now I really want to make rear wheel drive! Or all wheel drive.
Sammit another great vid thanks for posting such entertaining content all the time and making it feel like we're there with you and being able to geek out on everything like a kid in a candy store cause I know I am and as always keep up the great work 👍
I remember seeing an old video of a group of kanjo racers cruising around and on the highway they ran into Temple Racing and all i remember is a corolla fx16 with a Temple Racing sticker in the back. Also i think there was an ae86 in their ranks also.
Just to be clear - From the crossed Sowilo rune symbols on top of each other, the rotating sun wheel is formed, which arose in many cultures. In this all life-affirming, positive aspects sum up, but also the striving for success, power and victory. The traditional assignment: health and iron will to win. It was not just originated in Japan, it was world wide and we all know what happened later.
I think my car/cars has to be them Gr86's. I watched alot of them drifting and the sound and the way they can drift is awesome! I know it's down to the driver, but I love them drifting.
If im not mistaken that Red civic right before going to the Temple booth had a B18A1 non vtec in it. Atleast the valve cover was a B18A1 which came in the U.S DA9 Integra GS non vtec
Mirror thing comes from the Lowrider scene. Love the videos bro keep up the good work!!! Congrats on your fam bam and may you have many more blessings!!!
This event seems way more chill than Tokyo Auto Salon. Maybe a booth at this event for SAMMIT HQ might be better and more affordable than Tokyo Auto Salon.
Sam, if you can fit in one, what about doing a track-focused Mitsubishi FTO for the channel? It could scratch that FWD itch, and I think a pretty nice one can still be sourced relatively inexpensively.
1st correct comment about that car/engine! Thank you! Sooo, many people calling it a D16 (which is the same thing, just not the correct engine code for that one in specific)
bro those hondas was ❤ i built a eg8 rhd in quebec canada my best car ever and still have a 1jz soarer mint and a lhd eg civic racecar 😊sammit makes me buys cars hahaha😊
Sourhern cars are wild , i think the laws are a little lighter on hi-po cars there 👍👍Auto Mese are always cool.. more actually used cars.. Nagasa Exciting Car Showdown was really good too, they sort of do similar still. (See Dino DC)
Technically Osaka would be 'west' more than south.... Southern Japan would be more classed as Kyushu.... Would love to go to the OAM one day though, it looks really cool! Hopefully Sam can get some Japanese study done this year so he can talk to a few more people....😁
That zerofighter 33 is sick👌

thats 100% a pajero mini
@@rjrgates yea, but has the Renault 5 turbo front.. at least is not the original front
Google Mitsubishi Pajero mini VR looks like the same hood to me? Or is it just me?😊😜
@@rjrgates Im not saying is not a Pajero! But Google Renault 5 and look at the front grill! It looks like the same for me :)
11:42 1.6 ZC dohc in the hatch
With Mikuni/Solex PHH sidedraft carbs! Very cool.
ZC DOHC And SOHC engines are flipping dope!! My buddy had a SOHC with a Y8 crank and rods which bumped the compression up to like 11.5:1
Looking forward to seeing more Osaka content I've heard the drift scene there is crazy
Temple Racing’s EG Civic is definitely a dream build! ❤️🔥
11:43 1.6L ZC DOHC came in the Si E-AT

Yes sam thanks for explaining the manji symbol. More people need to know the differences
Maverick is such a good dude and i love his zero fighter inspired 33.4!

16:44 that nissan kix looks like a Renault 5 turbo 2 with this body kit very nice
16:40 Suzuki Vitara.
I guessed it is!
Close, it's a Pajero Mini, you can tell by the side glass.
Pajero junier
Sammit at 16:40 it's a Nissan Kix modified 👍
Looks like a Suzuki Jimmy..?!? 🤔🤔😁
@@manuelvictorvalderrama2533 I thought so also until compared the side rear window shape and the door lines
It's a nissan Patrol R
Correction Nissan Patrol GR
@@240sxKadet I also thought it was at first to but look at the shape of the side rear windows on a patrol and then a kix
6:56 that white R34 4 door or Laurel reminds me of the newest version of the Honda civic

11:45 - That looks like the brown cover 1st gen ZC twin cam to me.

Awesome video as always Sammit. This was a awesome auto show so lad back you can really enjoy the event and talk casually with the owners and drivers.
A friend of mine imported quite a few of those hearses to the uk and they are so detailed it’s unreal
Great coverage!

Now that was a good one Sam, thankyou so much !
That Zero build is bloody fantastic. Great imagination on show with all the builds. And something all too often missing; a sense of humour. 👍🙂
11:27 Hondas are popular because of the „Kanjo” racers in Osaka. They are really into old Civics and known for their street racing culture.🎌🏯
Nice to see Ken Nomura ! I watched the D1 grandprix at the time and enjoyed watching him race. 2008 without subtitles from Brazil
18:09 that's a Nissan Kix that was just a rebadged Mitsubishi Pajero
That white little widebody was a Nissan kix AKA a pajero mini! Very cool kei truck Ive had a few

20:24 wow that checkerboard CF weave…
The yellow/green GR and the Integra was my two favorite. Which I I love Integras I own a RSX Type S now I really want to make rear wheel drive! Or all wheel drive.
The motor in the number 69 car looks like a dual cam zc to me.
Correct.
Bullet Train by Stephen Swartz....thanks for reminding me of this song.
It’s Nice to see actual custom rides and see people are still making things not so cookie cutter ❤🤙🏼
The engine in the civic hatchback is a d16a9 out of a 89ish integra (da) here in the states
Loving more of this type of content!
21:32 if I'm not mistaken that's garedori-kai Jr's car with new bodykit
Sammit another great vid thanks for posting such entertaining content all the time and making it feel like we're there with you and being able to geek out on everything like a kid in a candy store cause I know I am and as always keep up the great work 👍
That s.a.d. Customs laurel was a banger. Such a clean looking ride
I am a car enthusiast and a aviation enthusiast. I love the Zero fight car. Both world combined into one.
I remember seeing an old video of a group of kanjo racers cruising around and on the highway they ran into Temple Racing and all i remember is a corolla fx16 with a Temple Racing sticker in the back. Also i think there was an ae86 in their ranks also.
7:14 Lucas, my brother in kamisama, it's a Gloria or Cedric, not a Laurel.
When we went to Japan in 2022, there were some amazing cars we saw in Osaka and Kyoto before we went on to Tokyo.
The two R33s with the high mounts are great!
I'm not much of a Honda guy but that Temple Integra is pretty dope
The white new z with the old-school seats was my fave.
Subaru BRZ GT300 is my favorite, it just looks so good from every angle.
I primered my mk2 4door golf like a ME-109, but it was nowhere to the level of that 33. That thing is amazing!
I think my favorite car is a toss up between the yellow chaser with the origin labo kit and the yellow GR86 with the 13B

11:52 ZC 1.6 it is precursor to the b series.
the engine in that old crx honda is a d16 dohc engine looks very similar to the b-series
13:32 is that fuel door functional, or does it pop off with a key?
That herase reminds me of shaman king. I think there were characters who drove a drazy hearse like that
🔥🔥🔥 13b GR86 is crazy ! hope to catch you on the sim one day, love your content ✌️

No that's an aim sports PDM32. That thing is the best, it even comes with a digital aim dash.

that honda motor probably a zc, similar to the usdm 86/89 integra d16a1 and d16a8, all dohc non vtec d series, bout 130hp
That b18 that you were talking about was a d16 zc dohc they pretty rare
The engine in the old civic would most likely be the d16zc dohc but in a racing spec
This event seems way more chill than Tokyo Auto Salon. Maybe a booth at this event for SAMMIT HQ might be better and more affordable than Tokyo Auto Salon.
love your videos keep up the hard work
The zero fighter skyline was the most unique and interesting car I saw there.
87 civic has a zc motor 1.6l i believe its pre curser to b16a. Has same vavle cover as 1.8l b18b
Did not expect to see a c5 Corvette in Japan! I love mine 🥰.

21:55 how is that bag not falling off the shelf? 😅
The ea civic with the 69 on it has a zc 16 motor. It is like a d series engine with a twin cam.
1st correct comment about that car/engine! Thank you! Sooo, many people calling it a D16 (which is the same thing, just not the correct engine code for that one in specific)
You never fail me sam.❤
Sam, you should build a Honda for a time attack car! Would be cool to see you do something other than drifting.
Need to show a Skyline Zero-R on the channel Sam thats about the last Skyline you haven't shown on here yet !
Auto Messe has always been cool😎
I always enjoy watching it🔥
@10:00 that guy at the Uras booth has a good sense of humour 😂

Ngl that car show was spicy 🔥🔥. It hit different compared to other car show videos i've watched before 😌. Or is it just me?
Sugoi, Thanks Sam. Buddha Thanks for explaining the culture.Zero 33 and the pink Cube🙏 ✌️🤘🇦🇺🇯🇵
The dude that designed skyline to look like a zero fighter, will 100% crash headfirst into the first American import he sees.
"zero" fighter Skyline is an R33
and later, what you thought was an R34 is really in fact a Laurel..
Tokyo Auto Salon is for the manufacturers. Osaka Auto Messi is for the people.
You weren't lying! This show is awesome compared to TAS. I'm loving the unique styles of the cars on display.
that was a d16 ZC brown top in the civic race car........its the original engine....although i have never seen one with itb's
basically the same engine as the 86-87 acura integra in the states...but different mounts and the integra was a black top d16 dohc
That zero skyline is just perfect mission accomplished car
My favourite part was when that guy did round eyes at you. I laughed for ages 😂
Thought you were headed to stance nation down in Sasebo for a second.

The white widebody car is a mid 90’s Suzuki vitara

Blacked out cammed corvette. C5s and C6s are growing on me.
That EF's engine I believe is either a B18B1 or a B20... Not sure, not that geat at B-series stuff
The grief that I have for missing out on having a life in Japan. AND IT LITERALLY BEING IN OSAKA.
The mystery white vehicle looks like a Suzuki “Escudo”.
sweet show and I would love to travel the bull it train
