What an amazing Episode of My Hero! Truly one of my favorites to date! That Bakugo moment hit us right in the feels 😭
I agree with you two. Anybody who says MHA isn't one of the greatest modern anime's... hasn't been paying attention. This show has action, character development, story, and heart. MHA sets the standard for what it means to be a hero... and not from some corny perspective. Izuku Midorya as a character... is completely and totally selfless. His perception of self... is that he exists to save others. It's what Bakugo has come to recognize... He... like many others... has been inspired. And not by All Might. Bakugo has been inspired by Deku. His body... much like Deku's in previous seasons/episodes... has learned to "move on it's own". Deku as a hero... is improving hero society in real time. He makes the characters in the show want to be better heroes. And he makes us... as people watching the show... want to be better human beings.
Bakugo's apology was perfect. No excuses, no "but I'll still beat you", no screams and no insults, and his voice was very soft spoken! All his growth throughout the show led to this amazing moment 🔥
I mean after all that shit and suffering...why the hell will he even think like that
And in the manga (they left this line out of the anime, and god knows why) he said "You don't have to accept this apology, I just want to do this"
Maybe not his exact words, but it had the main elements

This is the very first time Bakugo calls Izuku by his real name, and not « Deku », this moment give me goosebumps when this chapter came out.

When Bakugo finally called Deku "Izuku" 🥺
What made Bakugo's speech even more touching is that was the first time he called Izuku and not Deku 😭😭. This episode was 100% in the feels.
Completely rewarded fans that have been watching from the beginning. That was a perfect episode.
A lot of people tend to forget Iida was Deku’s very first friend at UA besides Uraraka. It’s very poetic that at Kamino Ward, both Deku and Bakugou wanted to save each other but knew they couldn’t be the one to do it so they got the closest people to that person (Kirishima and Iida respectively) while using an ice ramp from Shoto 😂

also a great parallel is Iida being the one reaching out to Deku at the air when back then when Iida tried to fight Stain, Deku was the first guy to reach and help him out. Both are being stubborn, telling each other it's not their problem to meddle in.

Iida's part was my favorite since hes been there already, he wanted to push away his friends from his revenge but now he's doing for deku what deku once did for him "meddling where you dont need to"
dude hearing bakugo's apology just made me tear up so bad
Todoroki talking about crying takes me back to Endeavor shouting that succession bullshit at Shoto and we see that single tear roll down his cheek. This whole episode I was tearing up.
Notification squad 💯 I love the impact Midoriya had on the class as a whole and how it takes everyone to make him open his eyes.
Everyone except Aoyama and Hagakure...they did nothing and had no 1 on 1 moment shown. They could have at least done Aoyama seeing as him and deku had almost an episode dedicated to their connection.
Edit: I just spoiled myself on something relating to both of those characters in the future. I really need to stop reading anime wikis and other blog posts, I am too curious for my own good 😞

First AOT made me cry with their latest episode & then this 😭 bakugo apologizing, old ost, animations, voice acting... everything was on point. It's a great episode.
This is truly a goated episode. I've been waiting for the scene with Midoriya and Bakugo to be animated for a long time and it did NOT disappoint.
Especially the You Say Run and animation, and even bakugo's VA nailed it in both sub and dub 😭
You guys notice that in both the manga and anime that Bakugo, Ida, Ashido, Mineta, and Sero aren't wearing their masks/helmets when Class A was trying to get Deku back to U.A. Even Koda and Kirishima took their headgear off mid-battle.
The parallel between the way bakugo sent iida and the way deku sent kirishima during the all might vs AFO fight is poetry
Seeing how everyone was reminiscing and bringing back a time where Deku helped or impacted their lives in a way was very emotional. Iida being the one to grab onto him was fitting and I was already tearing up. It wasn’t enough tho cus when Bakugo was apologizing i geared up even more man 😭. Then Deku falling over and Bakugo catching him was very defeating cus I bawled lol.
What I like about this fight is that is not a physical one but a fight of ideals. Neither side is trying to hurt the other and neither side is going all out.
In a sense they are going all out. Deku going all out to escape with his friends going all out to save/stop him.

Yo the VA for Bakugo absolutely nailed the apology! Perfect genuine confession of ones true feelings. Calling Deku Izuku for the first time! Bakugo's growth during the entire run has been handled spend idly. This is exactly what you expect of a partner, rival, friend and Hero! When Class Pres threw back Deku's own words of wisdom back at him also broke me after Bakugo's apology. Just wondering callbacks to again showcase the growth between the two. Amazing Amazing episode, truly brought the pages to life!
Those who tell MHA is mid - cant see it's cooking. All the seasons, all the arcs lead here, to this moment. Can't wait to see next season already.

You know what’s crazy? Having a show with so many characters and still being able to give them all development. Of all things I think MHA does this best!
Well realistically One Piece does it the best, nothing tops One Piece in character and world developement and that is due to them having 1000+ episodes. I can agree the series drags out and such at times but not even the haters have evidence to prove One Piece having bad world/character development. MHA still does it well but at times they tend to forget about half of Class A lets be honest, and some of them are useless.

Yay! The entirety of Class A, who are all in perfect physical shape and were working together were able to catch up to an exhausted Deku who was also probably holding back his strength as to not hurt them. They truly can keep up with him without any help.

It’s not about strength, it’s about teamwork to save everybody and strategizing the beat the next threat. Deku can’t do it all on his own, that’s where the support comes in

The scene for the ramp launch is a *parallel* to S3 with Bakugo rescue mission at Kamino (where All Might vs AFO 2 took place) - as they are at the same place now with All Might's statue as a memorial.
Iida (not Bakugo) reached for Deku now, as Kirishima (not Deku) reached for Bakugo then.
This has been my fav season so far. Second fav was s3 with all might vs all for one. I can see you liking s3 being the best and I see no problem with that cuz that season was fire. In my opinion s6 was the best because the 1st cour and 2nd cour both had great action. And there were sooooooooo many countless OSTs introduced in this season. Hope u enjoyed the season
What about Season 2, the sports festival was FIRE and stain arc was pretty good

After season 3 , the deku and bakugo scene, it's this confession that made me bawl that much again 😭😭😭😭😭.. I still can't believe how much I cried 😭

I like them catching up to Deku parallels how Deku tried to save bakugo in kamino. From the combination of quirks to propel them forwards, Shoto making the ice ramp to jump up, and instead of Bakugo being the one to reach out to Deku, he had Iida reach his hand out, just like how Deku had Kirishima reach his hand out instead.
Goes to show how much Deku and Bakugo have learnt off of one another!
To catch Deku speed wise: Explosive Speed Turbo + Cluster (Bakugo) + Recipro Boost + Recipro Turbo (Ida) + Flashfreeze Heatwave (Shoto) + Zero Gravity (Ochaco).
What a combo!!!!

I’d like to point out that they struggled to keep up with a barely 50% Deku, so him saying that they can’t keep up with him isn’t entirely untrue
To really gauge how fast deku's faux 100% is. It took Sato, Shouji, Koda, & Tokoyami to push Them initially, then Todoroki's flashfreeze heatwave to boost them off, with Bakugo's explosive speed cluster, and Iida's recpiro turbo plus Ochaco's zero gravity just to catch up to him.
And Izuku’s literally running on fumes of consciousness lol
There was a line from the manga that they didn't add, but basically it was Bakugo saying he didn't expect Izuku to forgive him, that he understood why he wouldn't, but he still needed to say it

Bakugou’s character development is beautiful!
best thing about this episode was that it was IIda in the end who rescue deku as more than bakugou iida was the first real friend of deku. Bakugou maybe his childhood friend and rival but dekus first friends were iida and uraraka. and not to mention iida rescue deku by saying same exact words that was said by deku during stain arc. And this whole plan to catch upto deku speed is similiar to what deku planned during bakugou rescue in season 3, so bakugou copy deku idea and similiarly just like deku asked kirishima to call bakugou,bakugou asked iida to stop midoriya as he knows iida have more bond with deku than him.
A lot of people are missing this, but the line Iida said to Deku "Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero" is the exact same thing Deku said to Iida back when he helped him fight Stain when Iida was being stubborn about accepting help.
Season 4 is still my favorite. So many great moments with awesome OSTs. Sun Eater, Red Riot and Fat Gum vs Rappa, Mirio vs Overhaul and his men, Deku vs Overhaul, and an incredible finale with Endeavor and Hawks vs High End nomu.
Season 4 had some great moments and actually Overhaul was a stronger villain than Tomura is now but season 6 has this episode, Iida's line always hits me.
Not only does Iida reach Deku by repeating his own words, but this is the moment where he claims the name 'Ingenium'
As someone who loved Bakugo since the beginning(and manga reader), I am so proud.
I was so in my feelings when watching this episode I completely glossed over how fast Ida was actually going. He not only caught up to deku but actually passed him when he grabbed him! Such a good episode and I’m so glad everyone got to say their piece.

Next episode is one that will definitely make you cry if they execute it perfectly. Just you wait for Uraraka.
You can see just how strong deku has become even though he is sleep deprived, hungry tired it still takes class one A forming all there special attacks into one just to catch him, I wonder how fast he could take them if it was actually a serious life or death battle.
Not to mention gearshift wasn't yet used.. meaning he could've clapped them but he doesn't

Bakugou finally apologized, this is certainly one of the most important moments in Boku no Hero.
Class A has been through a lot in their 1st year of UA, a lot of weight to everyone's words & sentiments towards Deku... really BEAUTIFUL!!

This just goes to show how crazy powerful Deku is, even when he's so tired and beaten down. He'd be terrifying as a villain, if y'all know of the villain Deku AU.

Best line of all the show was Bakugo said ".....IZUKU...." for the first time
Many people didn't notice but the way they caught up to Deku was very similar to the way they saved Bakugo in season 3
And both incidents happening at Kamino makes the parallels even more incredible
Deku let Kirishima reach out to Bakugo because at that moment he considered Kirishima to be the right one
Now Bakugo let Iida reach out to Deku because he's the right one whose body is made up for speed
Bakugo calling him "Izuku"
Is like hearing Vegeta calling Kakarot "Goku"

I wanted twinkle to say something too considering their interactions and how he was the only one like deku had problms with his quirks. But they stilll didnt say why he had such issues.

coming from someone who was bullied in middle school I can't take his apology seriously because when the person who bullied me tried to apologize I didn't forgive him i know it's just me but I just can't forgive bullies in any kind of story

Not gonna lie, but how they managed the turnaround for Bakugo from complete sociopath who in season 1in his anger beat, maybe not a friend but still just someone who has done him no wrong, into the hospital (remember the first deku Bakugo fight where deku ended up with his arm shattered and his other arm and face blown up by Bakugo and he even tried ti seriously hurt him before when he used that AP move on deku with his suit), to this without some kind of melodrama or sacrifice. He simply watched and eventually after some minor teenage outburst cam to the conclusion himself. Well written.
Is the Mic quality a little bit off here?
Even after all that whole rescue mission and apology, Deku still not really feeling okay to stay at UA as he said. He was brought back physically, but he hasn't been fully *"saved"* yet mentally. Like Eri after Overhaul, before cultural festival.
Deku was straight up ready to leave after all that work to get him back, but Uraraka had to grab his hand to keep him there. So in the end, she will try to complete this mission so that Deku is fully "saved".
I can understand where the people are coming from. Deku even agrees with them, which is why he left in the first place. A villian who can destroy everything in one touch, and you bring what he wants the most right in my face. After you promised my safety.
When this chapter came out I remembered seeing so many people bashing horikoshi saying
"You changed bakugo"
"I don't like this change"

In every video I’ve seen of this reaction everyone says the same thing “Bakugo only one that can catch up to him.” Bro the disrespect to Deku even now amazes me. Bakugo is strong but to compare him to Deku at this point is just pure insanity. But I get it since Bakugo is a fan favorite which is weird because he was a legit bully. It shows a lot about our society lol
