Ah this takes me back, I remember being a kid and wanting nothing more to be an F-14 aviator when I grew up. Got to see one of these beautiful beasts at NAS Glenview when it was still up and running in 1991, my dad was old buddies with one of the staff which meant we got to take an up close look. Still have that photograph of my much younger self in the cockpit with hands on the controls and the biggest grin ever plastered on my face.
