Great Live Stream tonight. Learned a lot about the Pocket Operators I didn't really know about. can't wait for your Live stream on the PO 400. Your friend Greg at Expanding Knowledge. 😎
@@mochreach You bet cha, love chatting with synthesizer folks. Working on some patchs with my Texture Lab, Behringer Neutron, Aurturia Micro-freak, and my Yamaha WX-11 wind synth right now. Granular and Frequency Modulation blend pretty nicely. Just waiting for my PO 400 to come in the snail mail from California. The tracks I am working on is very experimental and spacey, especially with my Meris Mercury 7 pedal, it has 2 effect tanks, one is reverb and the other pitch shifting, which you can blend together. I have 2 loops already made in my looper pedal using these instruments. Boy I really have to practice more with my wind synth, seem to be missing notes lately. Of course it doesn't help having arthritis in both hands, but that doesn't deter me from my passion. Your friend Greg in New Hampshire U.S.A. 😎
Sounds fun! I love the Neutron, it's a great sounding synth, I'm seriously thinking about getting a Proton when it's released, they'd be fun together. I also like using the Neutron with the POM400, it has lots of useful modules for like MIDI to pitch CV and a couple of attenuators.
@@mochreach Excellent. How do you patch your POM400 with the Neutron, and do you take advantage of Neutrons MIDI to pitch CV for playability from a synthesizer keyboard. I would like to connect the POM400 to my Neutron when I get it. What connections would one have to make to the Patch bay in the Neutron to be able to play the POM400 from say a traditional synth keyboard? Can you even do that? I really like the attenuators and slew function on the Neutron, very useful in sculpting a sound. (I guess what I am trying to say is, if you connect the POM400 to the Neutron, can you play the POM400 like a traditional synth with a key board?) Well any ways I can't wait till my POM4000 comes in the mail, I would like to integrate it straight away into my system. My music room is a mess, so many cables, pedals and synths mucking about, as I use each synth for a different purpose for sound generation. Other than my Yamaha WX-11 wind synth which is quite compact and takes up no room whatsoever, my other instruments are rather large and take up a lot of space. My music room is very small, so I put most my synths on a rack, until they are needed. I know sounds crazy, but it works with the space I have available. Love ya Brother, keep living the dream! Yak at you later my friend, Greg at Expanding Knowledge. 😎
@expandingknowledge8269 I use the MIDI gate combined with the Osc CV from the Neutron and connect it to VCA and oscillator "control" on the POM400. To get the Osc CV on the Neutron, you might need to change the routing of the assignable out port, from the manual (p13): "To change the source press & hold the OSC SYNC button until both the RANGE buttons are flashing. The currently selected assignable output is indicated by the flashing LFO shape LED - the available options are (clockwise from the sine shape): OSC 1 CV, OSC 2 CV, Note On velocity, Modwheel, Aftertouch". Works really well! The form factor of the POM was one of the most appealling things for me, it's has a small footprint, so should easily fit into your music room. Plus it looks really nice, so it's good to have on display! My space is pretty much what you saw on stream, plus some shelves above the table. It's plenty for what I need at the moment, the only bigger synths I have is a DeepMind12 and I don't have plans to get any other big bits of gear anytime soon.
What's all the scuttle about Teenage Engineering and Copy write issues regarding their products, and the use of them? Couple of vids on RUclips about it, one video Echo Kraft is ranting about it in a live stream right now. I don't know sounds a bit odd to me, I don't know what that's all about. Greg 😎 Life can so weird sometimes.
I had a read about it, it's not quite as bad as it sounds, although still weird. AudioPilz had a video up about one of their devices, where he had used a section of one of their promotional videos, that flagged a copyright warning on RUclips, which they raised to a copyright strike against the videos. Really sucks as I think it would have been fair use, but at least it wasn't anything to do with the use of samples like lots of people seem to be saying. AudioPilz has confirmed this himself.
@@mochreachThat's kind of what I thought. I don't know why some people go ballistic about things. I figured you might know since you own Teenage Engineering products. Well anyways can't wait till your next stream, Love Ya Brother. 😎
Super useful experiment! It would be great to have a summary video with all the learnings and main points! 😊Keep it up with the great work! 🎉🎉
That's a great suggestion, I'll try to find time to make something. Thanks for watching!

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks again for tuning and getting involved in the chat Greg, it was nice to chat. 😊
