  • In this video, Phil explains how BoatRx takes an air-conditioning first approach to solving the power equation onboard. By pairing the extremely efficient VRV8 air conditioning system with Mastervolt Lithium batteries, a high-output alternator, and a Whisper Power generator, this yacht owner can achieve 24-hour air conditioning on just 5-6 hours of engine run time each day!
The sum of multiple improvements to Termodinamica’s VRV air conditioning line-up has resulted in the development of the new VRV8E1 compressor. The power efficiency is almost unbelievable! The system can provide 36,000 BTUs at a maximum power consumption rate of 1.5 kW. When maintaining the temperature of the conditioned space, the power consumption will drop to .5-.8 kW. This greatly benefits the consumer because the low power consumption enables the system to run from a battery source rather than a generator.

Hello, been looking in RUclips for AC solutions to a Swedish sailing boat, and your does give the info needed. I have a Malö 42 with 3 cabins, no generator and no AC, but a good heater throughout the boat with ducts and ventilation. I could dedicate the smaller back cabin, to house any utility/technical installations. I searched all over Europe for AC solutions, but they are too cold to worry about air conditioning, but they have solutions for heating. Are you collaborating with anyone in Europe? My boat now is in Sweden, but slowly going to the Med. Would appreciate if you can guide me where to inquire.
