Step 1 watch video. Step 2 make careful note of tips and tactics. Step 3 go and play the game. Step 4 forget every thing you learned and get your ass kicked.
Wanna know the funny part? Despite these tactics, I STILL get rocked in this game. LOL sometimes things just don't go as planned. Especially when attacks get whiffed and whatnot.

Mr X was the *Big Bad OG* who *came very close* (even after getting bodied twice over in SoR's 1 & 2 before he became a living brain in a jar in SoR3 & got bodied even more badly again for good) to succeeding his main goal of global domination by *nuking NYC* into oblivion. had he *not gotten interfered* by Axel & co in stopping him *3 seperate times over back to back* after the close of SoR3 & even SoR RM's game (given as how that game tied in w/ that 1 as well) turns out in the end that Mr X *actually succeeded* on his overall goal & completed it. since NYC became a wasteland crator but also got it's overall population *fully annihilated at it's epiccenter* once the bombs (over 20 or so in total that he made & planted all over the regional map *before* our heroes showed up to stop him at his lab & he dispatched Robot Y as his final trump card in stopping the heroes might add) thus causing our heroes to mostly move to New Oak City (mostly located in Chinatown btw) & start anew. 😐
Fun Fact: On any difficulty, if only the mech is left, with no twin on the ground, you can stay in the bottom left eternally. You won’t even take damage. It works on all difficulties.

When you talked about Barbon practicing kicks, I had a strong, strong feeling you were gonna bring up the Bruce Lee quote. Thanks for making the effort to make videos on this game. I don't see a lot of other people doing that.
Another thing to point out about the Commissioner (Stage 2 boss version): The Commissioner will wiggle his body a few times which signifies that he's about to do the triple overhead punch during the second stage of the fight (Pre-patch Commissioner did not have this visual wiggle cue BTW).

Thanks once again for laying all this out. So, at 53:52 it looks like you knock Mr. Y out of the rocket attack with a grenade. Do grenades pierce anti-stagger armor? And if that's a thing, is there a list of attacks that can do that? I could swear I've seen Max's lightning suplex do it as well.
I think the grenade is one of the things that can hurt his armor. Unless I caught him at the very end of the armor ending. I think it worked on the cyborgs as well when I play Survival mode. Usually certain weapons can break the anti-stagger armor like the big swords, grenades, and any fire inducing weapons.

It is highly unlikely that Barbon has anything to do with Freddie Mercury. He is more likely to be a little homage to the Charlemonts -Joseph and his son Charles. They were the masters of the french savate in the late 19th / early 20th century. And, both of them look a lot like Barbon. And since the game is french...well, connect the dots. P.S. during the bar fight, before squaring off against Barbon - a slightly modified (but still very much recognizable) "Born to be Wild" guitar riff is incorporated into the music track.
I was just going by the looks with this one. I doubt Barbon has any real musical talent, nor could Freddie Mercury do all of those darn roundhouse kicks. And awesome fact! I'll have to give it a listen.
Howdy mate I am absolutely loving your Streets of rage 4 content this is the third time I've gone through your boss guide I was going to suggest maybe doing level walkthrough/guides if you were looking for more content but I feel like if you do the arcade series on mania that would probably cover what I wanted to see anyway keep up the good work cuz someone is watching you
Maybe a mix of both since some levels are much shorter and easier than other, possibly group 3-4 levels together depending on how hard or drawn out a stage is, pinpointing the hardest parts and how to get past them without losing too much health or too many lives. Hope my feedback helps!!! Also keep up with the pop culture references, I laughed so hard at the miley cyrus and sug knight jokes! Peace and grease bro!!!

This is curious to me, Nostradante. I have absolutely zero aspirations to be a youtuber, but it seems to me that nearly all people look at a video's length before clicking to calculate time investment. This video is the length of a movie. If you edited this down to one video per boss, you'd have two weeks of daily content, and I guarantee you'd get oodles of more views. Most people would watch through the whole series without even realizing they spent 70 minutes to watch it all. For example, this comment is pretty long; I wonder how many people will even reach this last sentence. Nipple hair dingleberries.
@@dalangilbert There's a reason this is a Part 3 and not one giant movie. Also some of the most successful videos are quite lengthy. I fact my first video, which is one of the longest, has the BEST performance. Just be careful with those dingleberries. They can be dangerous. :)

As a person who never played any SOR in their life I like SOR4 a lot, but my biggest issue is that even on easy it's hard to avoid getting wrecked - instead of being able to avoid or block enemy attacks, most of the time i need to face tank everything like a punching bag and make use of these extra lives i get. This feels bad - I mean, I can beat the game, sure, but it doesn't really matter when I feel like absolute noob the entire time. I'd rather have less lives but less aggressive enemies and/or more defensive options, such as dodge or guard
I'm used to old school beat 'em ups not having a block or parry option. My beef is that a lot of enemies have high priority. Their moves will connect over yours. It is as if they know exactly WHEN to hit you especially after doing a defensive special. It is annoying.
Maybe im late to the party... but the star special from all SOR1 characters absolutely wrecks the final boss... if places correctly it one shots the machine. usual and fastest tactic.. keep your damage 50 /50 but make sure Mr Y enters the robot.. than focus on ms Y until she dies.. than one or two star moves is all you need..
i've played all streets of rage games, but man streets of rage 4 I really hate the hyper armor, i feel like they whore it out the hardest on the earliest bosses-- I also feel like the double DIVA's are the laziest boss recolor i've seen in a long time Me thinks they wanted to put ninja girls Mona-Lisa in their place but ran out of time to draw-animate-program and test a new fighter- I also think Commissioner/Estelle refight is another lazy action too- Jet would have been a better choice I also feel like they tried to fake the Ninjas in SOR4 with the black murphy color swap cop its stuff like this I notice that makes this game go to like a 7-8/10 instead of a 10/10 game

I got hooked quick and the 1st dominatrix I ran across in the bar was the sexy Electra. My favorite character besides Axel was Shiva .

А кто проходит на мании+ без урона не верте, там моды или игра модифицирована и мобы как растение, практически не атакуют и удары и навыки регистрируются моментально

Max always has this anti- everything. Such as: Anti punch, anti air,... pretty much everything. No matter what you do, you can’t combo or anything! Max is cool tho. You can break someone’s ass and back with that Back Breaker move.

When fighting Barbon in Story or Arcade, the biker chicks only spawn when either you or him break a motorcycle
Max always gives me trouble lol
I know his pattern, but sometimes he cancels into moves and there's nothing you can do about it which is cheap.

I also feel like the double DIVA's are the laziest boss recolor i've seen in a long time Me thinks they wanted to put ninja girls Mona-Lisa in their place but ran out of time to draw-animate-program and test a new fighter- I also think Commissioner/Estelle refight is another lazy action too- Jet would have been a better choice I also feel like they tried to fake the Ninjas in SOR4 with the black murphy color swap cop its stuff like this I notice that makes this game go to like a 7-8/10 instead of a 10/10 game

@@NostradanteGaming see I didn't start off on 1 by the time I got my Sega Genesis I was already 6yrs old . I was looking for another game like street fighter and stumbled upon sor2. I got hooked quick and the 1st dominatrix I ran across in the bar was the sexy Electra. My favorite character besides Axel was Shiva .
@@NostradanteGaming always wanted to be able to play with Shiva as a playable character then sor3 came along and I lost all my lives and had to use a continue on like level 3 yes 3 scrolled through the select a character and saw a strange avatar so I picked it and it was none other than freaking Shiva. I was so amped I didn't wanna turn the game off ever cause I thought it was a glitch come to find out there was actually a legit cheat code for this . Man child hood

Могли бы уж регистрацию ударов - навыков сделать моментальными, более отзывчивыми на управлении. А кто проходит на мании+ без урона не верте, там моды или игра модифицирована и мобы как растение, практически не атакуют и удары и навыки регистрируются моментально

Max always has this anti- everything. Such as: Anti punch, anti air,... pretty much everything. No matter what you do, you can’t combo or anything! Max is cool tho. You can break someone’s ass and back with that Back Breaker move.
