    Very glad to hear that you have been (honourably) discharged 😊 For me a good light was "the buy" that has made all the difference. I still sit at an old kitchen table in the corner of our sort-of-built-in verandah come tool shed with power saws and a sewing machine stashed in my foot zone, a cat taking up half the space on top and two pups bumping and banging and chewing everything, but, none of that matters if I can see what I'm doing ! There are some great budget priced architects lights on Amazon Australia. Mine has three light colours and ten brightness settings. I'm loving hearing the new energy in your voice. And I look forward to your next videos, whatever the content.

      Thanks for your lovely comment 😊 My new lamp arrived late yesterday (Sunday) so it’s on my list of things to do today to put it together and try it out 🤞 I’ve had 3 years or so of “making do” with colouring on the sofa/dining table etc so I am really enjoying the luxury of spreading materials and books out at my table - and being able to leave it all where it is till I am ready to come back to it 😉

    Glad to hear you are finally discharged 🤗and how lovely for you to be getting your own space back. I feel these more basic pages do give me a chance to get my glitter pens out but yes don’t quite give same satisfaction of other books. Many thanks ❤

    So glad you are on the mend. My daughter is allergic to a lot of adhesives and has had similar issues. We wound up having to simply wrap the entire affected area in gauze, ace bandage, etc to hold a dressing on.
    I saw a video yesterday and thought of you.. they were showing how often alcohol markers aren't actually out of ink but just dried of alcohol. Try putting a bit of 90% alcohol in, pull the nib and just drip it in with a pipette, then let them sit overnight. They were able to refresh all of their dry markers, and they colored like new again. It only works a few times as eventually you will run out of color.. but it gives more use from them and is a cheap and easy fix.

      I’ve never had issues with my skin like that before, but boy have I struggled through this experience! I feel for your daughter and anyone who goes through skin issues - like most things, you don’t appreciate the seriousness of it u til you experience it first hand! I’ve decided to just let my cheaper markers go, but I might try that with the Ohuhu before giving up on them 😉

    Hi Jackie! Glad to hear you got rid of the plasters and bandages on your bag. I have a verry sensitive skin and i always have a allergic reaction when i need to use plasters, wich i try to avoid. I am happy you’re almost healed. I totally understand you want some new things in your art-room….a while ago we redid the floors and i didn’t like the color of the IKEA furniture anymore, it was natural wood and we paint all the furniture… it was a big job but it came out beautifully! Totally a different look without throwing away stuff….

      It can be a lot of work renovating and painting furniture but very rewarding! I’ve never had any problem with any sort of dressing before….I think the infection may have been a factor and the skin was being disturbed with dressings and dressing changes for so long it just couldn’t cope with much more. But that’s done with now 👍

      I haven’t tried yet with alcohol markers but I have been told you can…I do it with water based markers sometimes (just using some water) to eke out the last bit of colour 😉

    The MM books definitely evolved over time. The inkwork became thinner, more characters were added, and the scenes became more elaborate. I think the springtime book is where we started to get more different types of animals. I do enjoy the Autumn book but you may prefer the ones published after January 2023. I've been looking for other books similar in format.. I do get tired of coloring mouse on every page, cute as she is. I think Reptiloids is the closest but I know you already own it. For me MM is right in the "sweet spot" of easy...small format, quick to color... but still not to the "cozy" level of simple that is so popular these days.

      @spare_room_studio  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, I agree! I like the new MM and Annee Day books for an uncomplicated colour but I’m currently not feeling inspired to buy the cute&cozy style books (or many colour by numbers either). It’s hard to define but there has to be enough of a challenge to feel like an adult colouring book for me….and I’ve seen some kids books that are more involved and detailed than the cute&cozy books and with some half decent paper too. It’s really interesting how we all gravitate to different things and the colouring book market has evolved to suit all tastes and budgets 👍

      I don’t have a good printer (and don’t want to buy another one 😁) I prefer to work in books so I usually put up with whatever is used - but I thought the actually print quality of the lines looked less than his newer books. I will still colour these with alcohol or waterbased markers for relaxation 👍
